    Built and funded by the Virginia Tech Autonomous Mastery Prototyping (AMP) Lab.
    This musical instrument uses a DE0-nano FPGA (Cyclone IV), Custom PCBs, A4988 Stepper Drivers and NEMA-17 Bipolar Stepper Motors to turn MIDI into 8 tracks of 4 volume levels.

    Theres a lot of step skipping due to the motor cant keep up. The music is good none the less since the step skipping seem to add something special to it

    bottom right motor appears to be bugging out at certain places. Like its just vibrating

      That's normal at high pitches. This is why 3d printers accelerate when going up to speed. It adds some uniqueness to the sound so I leave it in

      unfortunately just like any musical instrument it has a limited tonal range. Treble clef tends to give off the loudest sounds for the instrument. But quiet is better than nothing!

      True. Except for that, 10/10. love the slightly different voices for the different pitches. Just, yes.
