Portal - Still Alive. Played by 16 Stepper Motors

  • Stepper motors play the MIDI version of Still Alive (by Jonathan Coulton and Ellen McLain) from the Game Portal. A Python script sends the midi data to an arduino that controls the stepper motor. The speed of the motor determines the pitch of the note that is audible. 16 single recordings are then cut together.

    This is really amazing. Think you can do Cara Mia Addio next? That song's built for stepper motors, but no one have made it yet.
