This song is about heroin addiction. It always makes me sad and brings me back to when it was released in 91 as I had the hugest crush on a girl that was also battling a heroin addiction with multiple relapses. It is not a happy song at all.
Y’all should check out “Broken Window Serenade” by Whiskey Myers, if you haven’t heard it already. There is an acoustic version that’s really nice. Like this song, it deals with substance abuse and mental illness. It’s also a little dark, but it’s an awesome song. Y’all have a great week!!
The crowes are my favourite band of all time their first 4 albums are ridiculously good I mean their other stuff is good but the first 4 records are faultless

Hey guys, FYI - Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page loved the Black Crowes. He even played with them on tour. They performed Crowes and Zeppelin songs.
