Just picked up an Escalade V ESV. The Xpel dealer quoted me $7700 for a full vehicle clear PPF, $8200 for Xpel Stealth and $1500 to ceramic coat it after. Do you think the PPF quotation is high?
Seems competitive. A friend of mine just did an Escalade V non ESV in XPEL stealth and ceramic coated it for I wanna say in the 7000s total. Included blacked out emblems. So you are close. The coating seems a little high if you are getting stealth as they don't need to paint correct.
The truck looks great. If you ever want to sell it let me know. This is the exact color and spec I would order. I have no idea how they can charge $1600 for ceramic coating. I think the first shop that did had a rich guy that didn't care what it cost. It should be the same cost as a buff at the most. $500.
I think it depends a little on paint correction needs. This needed a 1 step cause had some factory swirls under the lights. I bet my dealer would order at MSRP as the markets coming down. This color is awesome. I would recommend getting performance brake package. Only thing this spec needs. The base brakes are ok but coming from the things we drive.....leaves a little bit to be desired.
You have to think about all the wash time, clay bar time, buffing time and materials to go into it. That’s a very large surface area of a vehicle. If the ceramic coating kit alone costs 150, you’re only leaving 350 dollars in there for profit at 500 dollars. You’d easily have 16-20 man hours into it. New vehicles still need all the treatment driven vehicles get. Just because they’re new doesn’t mean the surface isn’t contaminated or is free of imperfections.
That paint is really nice. Looks great
Thanks 👍
