Hi Alex. I am a PC tech in the UK. I just wanted to let you know that your video's have helped me repair a few PC Motherboards with minor trace and Capicators issues. I don't do in-depth repairs like you, but the task I take on has helped to increase my revenue where I would have otherwise lost money. Thanks for your tuition and easy to follow videos. Don't ever lose the faith, and don't let those with negative attitudes put you down. This happens all over the globe, in all industries. Knowledge is power.
It's getting to a point where I have to wear my sunglasses and have my fume extractor on as well when I watch your videos, gotta protect myself from UV and fumes too 😝😝😝
Hi Alex,Sometimes a little thing just triggers a solution, This video made me go back to my own faulty keyfob and check all the lines. Turns out it was actualy the negative connector plate that had coroded away from the line, thanks to your close up of the faulty line I caught on after labouriously checking all the components and cleaning the board to remove any water damage tracking. (I left my keys near the kettle, and someone who loves me dearly made me a lovely cup of tea and decided in the process to spill some water over the fob.) So big thanks.
We usually aim the ir at a camera and see if it lights up.... thats where our testing stops... love your video's, learning a lot from them. Thank you a lot sir.
Amazing how much I learn from you Alex. Very delicate components require delicate work. Once again you entertain and educate. Thank you for the heads up on this topic. Lunch is on me.
Salaam from South Africa... I'm now at a point where, if i login onto RUclips, I do, mostly after i get notified if Alex has posted a video. amazing videos and skills. May Allah bless you more and more for sharing your knowledge. let me share my little trick i have learned too, since some of us might not have fob testers, (being from the 3rd world country i come from), tools are very costly for us here, so we try to make do with what we have. I test IR key fobs with the camera of my mobile phone. you will clearly see IR once and button is pressed, while looking at the fob via the camera and pointing the key fob, IR side into the camera lens. Kind Regards A.H
Done to watch start to end Sir, from the Philippines. Thanks for sharing your technique about micro soldering and for some tips and awareness to prevent damage of the I R .
Hello Alex, I've been a viewer for a little while now and I am inspired by your work, and I try to reflect it in my own. One repair I intend on doing involves replacing the USB 3.0 header on my motherboard. I have had trouble finding replacements that will not take months to ship, as well as being able to get singular units. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I would also enjoy supporting your work and I would definitely purchase from you if you sold them. Being that they are a commonly damaged component, I think it would be a worthy addition to your roster of components that you sell on your website. Thank you!
Every time I see you grind a trace, I just get completely stressed out. Then everything functions at the end. I am continually impressed with your skill and have learned much from your videos. Good work!
I am always amazed on how steady hands you have to do this, when I tray something like this my hands start to shake like maracas. Also like how you explained all procedures, 👍
Hey Alex, I’ve been a long term fan more than (4 years now) your videos have helped me develop my technical skills that come from your amazing channel, I learned how to solder from your channel but couldn’t become a professional yet it’s difficult without all the amazing tools you have which I cannot afford, I have a Mercedes key on which I lost my infrared part before that the key wasn’t functioning throughout the buttons, seemed like an issue of power but when I tried to fix it I ended up breaking and loosing the infrared I really need your help! I’m in Vancouver right now, I can’t even start my car no more! Please help!😢
Nice fix! I bought a 2nd hand merc with an opposite fault to this. Radio unlock would not work, but IR unlock would. Key would start car, but had to point the key at the IR receiver on the door handle to open it. From what you've showed, it looks like the coil, or traces near it (in my instance) was faulty. I sent it to the garage and they said they couldn't fix it, where I'm sure you could!
Hey my man NothridgefFix have a few words for u. You are one of the geniuen youtubers here and im appreciate that u are sharing u skills with us ! You are a Real One! Be BlessedAlex#iknowualreadyblessed with u additude Kids and Famaly
I think the UV light may change you into the HULK, lol!! BTW, the "Fully Adjustable Board Holder" (at 11:27?) has been a fantastic addition to my small shop, thank you for carrying that product! Glad to see you are feeling better, my brother! Take care...
Hi Alex, really enjoy your videos. I'm just wondering - for jobs like this one where you do something like replace the battery holder with one that you have from a donor unit would you charge extra for that replacement part or is included as part of the general repair cost?
This curing UV light does not produce 10W (you can measure it with USB tester, usually around 2W). I bought another one from Relife with real 10W power and felt the difference right away.
i wonder if you can make a video whit a issue that i have , sorry for mi english , i have a small phone repair store , and some times i don t find battery for some phones , or mabe are in china but ... , if is possible to put a samsung battery in to another brand of phone , if possibe could you do a video it will help me much . HIGH, I have 2 Toyota key fobs. One of them works fine but the other does not open the doors and I can start the car with it only when I put the Fob very close to the start button. I have changed the batteries for both fobs & the problem was not solved. Any suggestions? Thanks

Don't bother with those silly glasses... just look away from the screen. As far as the fumes go, light a match.
Don’t forget your spf 30 sunscreen 🧴

You make it look so easy. Heaven knows how you do this without ruining the whole thing.
I have no background in soldering, electronics, motherboards or repair whatsoever, but still can binge watch this for hours😂.

Great video man, really straight forward. Probably one of the best straight to the point I've seen.

It's really hard to work on PC motherboards. You should practise on dead motherboard. There should be enough of them everywhere. USB 3.0 is old
Every time I see you grind a trace, I just get completely stressed out. Then everything functions at the end. I am continually impressed with your skill and have learned much from your videos. Good work!
Another amazing job. That IR plastic is still mint. I don't think I could trust my hands to stay steady enough
Hi Alex, I admire your skill and modesty 😂
IPad bent 🤔. Don't you know glass shrinks over time 😁
Another efficient repair, thank you for the video Alex.
You are very good at your job, good work 👍👍

The UV light anecdote never gets old.😆
I think the UV light may change you into the HULK, lol!! BTW, the "Fully Adjustable Board Holder" (at 11:27?) has been a fantastic addition to my small shop, thank you for carrying that product! Glad to see you are feeling better, my brother! Take care...

Assembly and dissambly can be done by Alex. No need for big boss to use his magical hand for this small fry
He's been exposed to UV light and had to go home for the day
@@Ghost572 🤣
Was about to ask about Big Boss, but you did..... 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

He would not charge extra as the customer did not request it as part of the service. Alex took it upon himself to make someone's day better.

9:40 I do not know why but this always put smile on my face 😅
I guess I'm going to have to wear a welder's helmet if I'm going to continue watching your videos.
To see actual work of IR transmitter one .may just point it to any camera (i.e. phone camera)
you must have a patience of a saint i would of said "it looks like you sat on the i-pad"

you made my car alarm go off when you tested the fob! ha-ha just kidding. Love your videos Alex!

Thanks for your help
Great work on another benz key. Why did they bring always benz-keys? What about other brands? Greets
When you drop your fob in a puddle and you thought you'd got away with it, later on you get PCB corrosion.
Please expose more your viewers to UV light!!! You just try to disinfect them!!! 🤣🤣🤣
RIP UV man. Lived a short life like a mosfet in a Asus laptop.
Wich mic do you use? how is it called? it captures your voice real good and it looks so light.
