Hearing Ron Dewar play remains an enduring contribution to my growth as a musician and human being. He is a humble person and probably doesn’t realize how many people he has reached. His sound and passion are an inspiration; I am forever indebted to this man.

This is music for adults. My respect for Ron Dewars' playing is SOOO GREAT! I've been hearing Donnie Heitler's name for years but never heard him play before. So fine.

I had the pleasure of playing in the same band (Made In Brasil) with Ron Dewar during the early 1980s and it was always one of the best part of my week. He is a tremendous musician and a kind and generous person! Thank you for sharing this video!!!

Beautiful performance by two of my dearest friends who helped shape my musical life when I was a student at University of Illinois back in the early sixties. The folks in that restaurant are talking through Ron's solo--they are there to eat and gab and missing two of the best. It's hard to play in places like that but there are fewer and fewer listening clubs.

Not only is Ron Dewar one of the greatest saxophone players in the world, he is also one of the greatest teachers. Never one to wave his own flag. If you've ever caught him in a live setting like what you're seeing hear, consider it your good fortune.
