i got the wired version of the mouse and like it a lot. its similar to hyperx pulsefire but a little bigger size. i also recommend to add some grip tapes on the sides.

I've used this mouse for 10months now, and have a customized cpi (not dpi) that goes from 100-1800, so it can be changed via the steelseries app :P It was the first thing I changed.
I use the third button for building, but also hated it in the start. Got used to it, and now can't live without xD
Is that mesh open on the back? If so, isn't that kind of a dust collector that's going to kill the mouse?
Ive been using the aerox 9 in ffxiv and honestly as a small hands user I was surprised to really like the shape. I even prefer it over the xlite v2 shape wise due to the lower left click height. I think if hey did what you mentioned and made a lighter weight version with just two side buttons for fps, Steelseries would have a serious competitor on their hands.
Especially if they make a mini version.
Its sad being an fps player that enjoys light mice but also keybinds :( idk why everyone has this sentiment that fps players dont need binds. I bind voice chat, grenades, prone, map etc to my mouse. This is basically the only mouse on the market that is this light, with this many binds
@@HeyImBoschea yeah I'm all fingers and thumbs trying to left hand my keyboard - I map as many useful functions to my mouse as possible.. life long console gamer here, so I really struggle with "every finger being an action", opposed to 2 or 3 fingers (like a game pad)
I can just about manage WASD and keeping crouch and sprint on shift and control - no way I can also deal with peeking, marking, maps, class specific commands, team chat and 3 different radios 😂
I read that having 1600 dpi halved would be better than 800 dpi flat. Do you know of any ways to get 1600dpi to feel like 800 dpi in windows without changing the pointer speed?

I recently came to notice, that my Rival 600 mouse wheel got a few flukes here and there. Since the shape of the Aerox 5 looks similar to the Rival 600, I now considered moving to the Aerox 5 - But wireless. I am looking forward to monday, when the mouse arrives. I am quite certain, I will be happy with it though :)
Given that I managed to get an Aerox 5 Wireless for $84, I’m very happy with it. The Guitar Hero Strum Bar goes unused in most games I play but I use it for equipping medkits and molotovs in Left 4 Dead but that’s about all it’s used for
are you still using the pulsar superglides??? those actually destroyed my zero ... after the coating disappered, the glass is so rough on the pad and it feels so muddy and uneven everywhere
Same exact thing happened to me. My artisan hasn’t felt the same since I used the superglides. I was flabbergasted to say the least and I’m never touching those skates again

Good video. I liked the thumb button and lightness, but once again extra buttons aren't effective buttons. Wish there was a mouse with a side thumb placement and then a horizontal one just below it.

The camera quality makes me see the individual dust particles falling into the mouse in 4K

lgg venus is my favorite hybrid pad to use with glass skates, odin indinity is a good option too

How do I drag click on that thing
It feels too big for fingertip grip which I normally use. The two upper side-buttons is almost unusable. The side/down-click on the top side button is somewhat decent, but I can't upclick without the entire mouse lifting. I have to use a firm palm grip or pinch the entire mouse to use the up-click. If I pinch it wrong I left-click at the same time. Could change the dpi-button with that one. I'd think I'd rather prefer the two upper side buttons to also be normal buttons. The steelseries engine lacks the ability to change buttons to side scroll/ horizontal scroll, which is a real bummer. The scroll wheel feels very nice and silent, maybe a bit mushy but it's preferable to many of the obnoxious clicky wheels I'm used to. Bought some razer universal grip tape and put all over it to make it easier to hold with my puny fingertip grip. Bluetooth in addition to 2,5GHz dongle and wired option was surprisingly nice to have. The 2,5GHz dongle itself seems much larger than necessary.
I realise I have yet to find a mouse I find to be perfect. I'd think I would love to have a razer viper mini with 4-6 buttons on the left side. Four on the side and two extra on the left click. In addition to sidescroll. Like a Logitech G502 mini.
Just had this delivered. Left click is loose and rattling right out of the box. Side note my new LG monitor arrived with this and has shocking light bleed. Why are there so many defects/deficiencies when ordering PC parts peripherals 🤦♂️
Picked this up for $60 on prime day.

That button is for MMO players that don't want 12 buttons on the side. In WoW there's many abilities where you trigger on/off. There are countless uses I can think of for RPG/MMO. But I understand that it's odd though.

I use the flick buttons in Escape from Tarkov to change zeroing(normally pg up and down) . The only game I've found the buttons useful.

@@HeyImBoschea Because media keys aren't a high priority? Is this is a serious question? So something like the interact button or push to talk are, in your opinion, as important as skipping the song you're listening to? Most headsets have media keys on them anyway. So you don't need to use your keyboard or mouse and the mouse has way more useful things you can bind to it.
The top button is good for cod gaming especially field upgrade or tactical
Does the clicking feel as cheap and clicky as the aerox 3? I'm gonna return the three, get aerox 5 or rival 5. Coming from rival 600 which felt much more premium.

Honestly this " NOT COMPLETE GARBAGE " describes all steelseries mice in general.
Have been using a Steelseries Sensei wireless (the one with the recharging base) for about 5yrs but the side buttons gave up on me earlier this week - was a really great mouse and I can't find a like for like replacement *anywhere,* nothing on resale and no one seems to stock it anymore, it's really annoying
Was tempted to go Razer just because they seem to have a bigger range but will probably just go for one of these, purely because it saves me having to install yet more software if I buy another brand lol..

This should have been the Aerox 7, then the Aerox 5 should have been this shape, but with only the normal 6 button layout (main clicks, scroll wheel, 2 side buttons, and DPI button).

The wireless markup is crazy. $60 more for wireless on an $80 mouse? You could buy an entire other decent wireless mouse for that!

I feel like the side "flick button" would be good with custom binds in some games. Like opening the console in csgo or changing the crosshair colour on the fly. As for actual use in game. 🤷

I use the top button for things that are not an emergency but would have required me to go far from WASD, like Map for Apex or Inventory for Destiny. I also like that that the grey button is not easily pressed on accident because of how forward it is.
