- This is a comparison between the SteelSeries Aerox 3 wireless and the Aerox 5 wireless. I've reviewed the Aerox 3 before and the Ghost Edition of that mouse too and was a big fan, but the SteelSeries Aerox 5 is something else. This is a better mouse in my mind and probably my main mouse when I'm not reviewing others for a while now. The most interesting SteelSeries mouse and certainly my favourite from their range (so far).
The SteelSeries Aerox 5 wireless is interesting for a number reasons and has great features that includes:
An ultra lightweight 74g design for speed and precision making it perfect for all Battle Royale, FPS, MOBA, and other fast-paced games.
Ergonomic 9-button programmable layout with 5 quick action side buttons, including our unique up/down flick switch for fast and efficient in-game actions.
AquaBarrier™ technology is IP54-rated to provide water resistance and protection from dust, dirt, and more.
Quantum 2.0 Wireless transmits data at unreal speeds, giving the flexibility of 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth 5.0, while also allowing for 180 hours of continuous play with fast charging.
TrueMove Air precision optical gaming sensor with true 1-to-1 tracking, 18,000 CPI, 400 IPS, 40G acceleration, and tilt tracking.
Next-gen Golden Micro IP54 Switches with over 80M click durability.
Highlights for me includes:
A bigger and more comfortable design
More buttons gives more flexibility and programmability
A smooth experience with those PTFE feed
Lowlights:
Battery life isn't as good as felt the Aerox 3 was but it does have fast charging
That up/down flick switch is a weird one and not easy to use.

love the videos bro
Appreciate it
Been running g502, i like the extra buttons, expecially the scroll wheel click left and right, any reccomendations for a new mouse? thinking of trying a lighter on with the scroll wheel left/right
Great vid. I’ve had my Aerox 3 ghost since the initial release… My only real gripe about it is the minimal buttons. I think I’m gonna upgrade to the 5!
I thought the same thing, until I bought the 5 and it feels like i'm holding a rat in my hand :( looking to see if anybody else has this issue because it feels SO much larger than the 3 its crazy
@@CraftyHalo you just got tiny hands dude
which one should i get

Fifth. Also, I'll be droplisting that Aerox 5. How does it compare to the Roccat KPA? I love that mouse but the aluminum scroll wheel is chewing up my finger.
Hello provoked, I have the aerox 3 wired right now and it has served me very well but unfortunately the mouse has been experiencing minor issues after almost three years of usage. My hand is also still growing as I am 16 years old so the gaming experience can occasionally be slightly discomforting, would you recommend the upgrade to an aerox 5 wired? I mean the mouse is on discount and only costs £49.99 right now, I’m not a big fan of the idea of having a wireless mouse because I find it a lot more convenient not having to charge my mouse.
Forgive my lack of knowledge, but how much input delay/response time difference is there between the wireless and wired? Do you use this mouse for gaming?
The claim is zero. I certainly don't notice a difference. And yes, I game.
I only have the Aerox 3 right now, thinking about upgrading to the 5 for more buttons which is why I’m here - however to answer your question I truly feel NO difference between 2.4 & wired. The only difference that I “feel” between the 2 is the annoying cable when I’m wired lol.
thank you! ive been trying to pick a mouse. Ive been trying to pick from the aerox 3, aerox 5, and asus tuf m4 air. I either play fingertip or palm grip.
I'd go Aerox 5 personally. It's certainly my fave out of those three.
is there any way to get areox 5 in white?
