Regigigas just wanted to make sure his favourite kid was being looked after and fed 🥺
considering the only time Regiice has ever been good is Pokemon Masters EX (where it is just the best 5* BP Sync Pair, it isn't even super meta because none of the 5* sync pairs from BP have EX)
All other Regis have been meta in VGC
@@Thicccynickky I didn't ask, but knowing that the little one is relevant somewhere made me happy
I say it's you having to compensate for him neglecting Regice.

Hello there
Hello there fellow Knurv enjoyer
@@PorygonBugado hello there fellow porygon enjoyer
Hi Knurv
@@hobocat_ who's knurv
The worst thing is if you have a blind friend, they couldn't read that braille bc that's not how braille works
Just touch it harder
Guess I was lucky in this case, my sister learned Braille pre-emptively because we thought she was going completely blind. She was the perfect person to figure out the Regis without the manual and I was good at catching them.
@@devinclark6212lucky that your sister almost went half blind, huh, I guess
@@minutosdesapercibidosesp-e4508 Lucky she learned Braille and turned out not to need it for anything but unlocking regis.
The original Game Actually came with a handbook where the brail Letters are translated
As infamous as they are the elaborate puzzles scattered across the region hidden behind a secret, sealed away cave that’s only accessible by going to a completely skippable town is probably the most interesting integration of legendary pokemon
I played gen 3 on emulator when I was 9 years old back in 2009, I kinda had to learn english to look for guides on youtube. These puzzles were one of the most memorable things in my childhood
Well said!!!!
I get what you mean, having to do actual archeology to get to the legendaries makes it feel like you’re actually finding legends.
Ah yes because LERNING BRAIL is easier then Grabbing a azure flute and going to spear pillar
The manuals of RSE had the braille alphabet in the back, so it's not impossible. But the Azure Flute thing is still dumb. Could have easily said to go to the Spear Pillar when you redeemed it or have the postman hint it.
@@ProphecyPhrase Even then Not evety one might read the manual but good point👍
@Hamza....987 True, but there was at least something in the manual... if you knew where to look.
@@ProphecyPhrase Even then it still sucked did oras have a manual?
Before the internet I guess it was harder but is it that hard to find a key? The playground I went to as a kid even had a Braille key!
Regigigas in Oras is like the overdramatized version of how hard people think gen 3 regies where, without the context that the game/manual gives from hints to giving you the sheet of Braille.
It makes it so that you have the keys to the answer without external resources because of random requirements that aren't explained or logical like waiting a day.
I remember being 11 and playing the original Ruby without the manual or previous. I managed to translate the messages without knowing it was braille, so I felt like a genius when I used dig here
@@xicufwm How? Genuinely curious
@@xicufwmim also genuinely curious
@@Gova_01@boney2982 the game gives you a cypher, right before the actual puzzle there's a room full of braille symbols, it's just the braille in alphabetical order. literally the only logical leap you have to make is "what if the first symbol is A, the second symbol is B, etc."
@@3lloGuvner yep, that's exactly the process. I copied all of the symbols from the first room in a notebook and assigned them A, B, C... in alphabetical order. Then simply used my notes to translate the message
When the original 3 got brought back in Galar, those puzzles didn't shatter my mind. Your options for Regi puzzles are either either ringing that bell (for notifications) or learning a new language.
Also annoying was u had to catch the three allover again. Using caught Regis did not count
@@zygas25 well, it wasn't hard. Just do a thing, walk on some tiles, (technically) free regi.
@matthewwilliams8267 don't forget
Find the motherfucking places
Gamefreak: "We canceled the flute because it was too confusing."
The Regis:
I like to think that the braille is a vague connection to the Titans' dot patterns.
Wow! Really?
(Sorry for the rude sarcasm but I think everyone knew this)
@@SusyBaca96Huh, I don't recall anyone pointing it out prior.
@@Mystmon ok 👍
@@Mystmon Probably because it’s too obvious to point out
@@mite3959For all I knew, it could have been the opposite.
Regice is Daddygigas' favorite child, I see.
>"...boils down to picking a god & praying"
*frederick wants to know your location*
My thoughts exactly
Not gonna lie, translating the writings on the walls from braile was pretty fun as a kid
I think the coolest thing was as a kid I had a braille sheet from the library so without any help from the internet I managed to figure what those dots mentioned after realizing I’d seen them on my braille sheet pretty cool
Hmm, it sais "W-a-i-t f-o-r t-w-o m-i..." oh, it opened while I was reading.
RSE Puzzle: Go to the library and learn braille just enough to get you 3 legendary pokemon.
ORAS Puzzle: Give your iceberg a cold treat and a silly name.
Regice is clearly the favorite child
The Regi puzzle obviously say ÜN ÜN ÜN
Well, of course it’s going to only be in the day, Regigigas has some sleeping to get back to and he’s a slow start in the morning.
They really thought a flute was too hard to use
As an actual blind person who enjoys Pokémon finding out that there was braille in a game was huge. Then realizing it’s still behind a screen.
Wait, then how did you type this comment...?
@@shoadowolf assistance likely; that tech has come a long way
The reason relicanth is necessary for the puzzle is because relicanth is the only non legendary (technically) Pokémon to be worthy of seeing them.
I actually loved the regi sequence. They felt like actual ancient legendaries, a technology found by ancient people who sealed them away at the end of their empire. I want more legendaries like that, where finding them is the challenge.
Hell yeah, it was awesome! That was some of the coolest stuff Pokemon has ever done, it was super interesting
“Catching legendaries isn’t easy..”
Kieran: OHH, FUCKIN’ *REALLY* NOW?
There was an official guide for ORAS that came as a pre order bonus (I got mine from GameStop) and it's the only reason how I managed to do the regi puzzles. It took me about two hours before I remembered I even had it, because I wanted to figure it out myself. Like that book had the locations of all the mega stones too, quite nice
"Brail is the hardest part!"
Yeah good luck experimenting on riding the waves to begin with atleast you have the players book with the brail.
I remember when I searched "how to get Regirock, Regice, and Registeel in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire" on the Internet when I was in middle school. Good times.
My headcannon is that regice is regigas's favorite child so it gets this extra treatment
Regigigas only shows itself to trainers after they treat its favorite little guy Regice well with a fun nickname and some ice cream.
Remember when the game cases not only had the game itself but a small guide for example what each braille means?
Ahem, azure flute
Never ever give Regice lips again for as long as you inhabit this plane of existence
*"this is my child, regice, and its two brothers: regirock and registeel."*
"why arent they also your children?"
*"i dont like them."*
I swear that in the manual of Ruby or Leafgreen I saw the Braille alphabet.
Yup, the braille alphabet is included in the Gen 3 game manuals!
Everyone: OMG REGIGIGAS I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
Regigigas: ŒŘ ŒŘ ŒŘ
Idk how anyone is supposed to figure all of that out without the internet and stuff 😅
But that Azure flute was just too dang hard
It’s easy just make a dragon that eats sandwiches and knows braille
so, either teach Koraidon Braille or get Regidrago addicted to Sandwiches...
@@pranavkarmarkaror maybe miraidon could know brail because it's kinda a machine (a machine but not steel type like all the other irons besides treads)
@@bulbaa2241 literally the only future paradox that are steel types are treads and crown
meanwhile Regigigas in Legends and GO is just "play the game as normal"
To be honest, i really prefer what the regis did, compared to some "legendaries" who you just find in a one room cave on the side of the road. It really feels like I'm searching for something that was sealed away centuries ago.
Definitely, this type of stuff was super interesting!
Being completely honest, I came across the regi cave by accident.
I remember being extremely grateful to have the official Nintendo Strategy Guide for Emerald as a child. Because there was no way I was going to stumble across the solution for the Regi puzzles on my own.
Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out but videos like these reassure me that I'm fine.
You gotta feed the truck a cold sandwich during the day to get the Mew.
Catching the regis in a time before you could just watch a video tutorial is exactly why they're my favorite.
I remember knowing nothing about braille at like 12 and solving the reggis messages like a cryptogram, what a feeling of accomplishment!
The thumbnail of May's smile being a meh, is hilarious! 😂😂😂
Early legendaries: I am a God
Current legendaries: child, bring me the snack.
Imagine what it would have been like to get the Regis in an era without the internet AND not having the manual with the braille in it
I spent hours translating the brail puzzles as a kid.... Its been almost 20 years.
Theyre still stuck in my head.
Reggie's: dig here use this tm swim here bring these Pokemons
Mew: hey bro I'm under a truck
Still the most interesting and satisfying any legendary catch has ever been.
"Picking a god and praying" Being hit with FE Awakening memories already lmao
Regigigas always made me laugh because i genuinely just happened to nickname my Regice and I gave him the nevermeltice, so i just thought it spawned normally 😂
Reminder that they still went and thought that getting the Azure Flute would be too complicated for players to figure out after we had to do this crap...in both Gens 3 and 6.
To this day, Mew remains under that truck or under the land the truck is on
With the original Ruby and Saphire back when it was new I remember looking up the word brail in the dictionary which showed all the signs for each letter then translated it all myself. It was fun I remember showing neighbor kids how to do it.
Game Freak Now: You get the legendary Pokemon from the beginning
Game Freak Previously: Learn Braille lol
I LOVED catching the regis when I was young. It was so rewarding after all the challenges
I seriously want to know how nintendo just assumed we'd figure out how to read brail 😂
It would've make much more sense if Regigigas was located back in the Sealed Chamber. Repeat the Relicanth and Wailord thing, but now with the trio in the other slots, which breaks the wall.
Gen 4 Pokemon - "We canceled the Azure flute. We thought it'd be hard for the kids to understand."
Gen 3 Pokemon - "Sir, what do we do with the Regis?" "Hmm... Make the kids have to learn Braille."
It was actually amazing. For a few years after playing Ruby I actually could read brail. Supercool puzzle!
I have no idea how developers expected kids to figure this out without a guide or internet back then
This was the most fun I had while playing pokemon emerald as a kid and I wish they kept doing stuff like this and more.
Sinnoh ain’t exactly a walk in the park with them either, with just as BS puzzles on top of needing an event Regigigas to access them so you can catch… Regigigas???
Fredrick:"Pick a God and pray"
...dang, my young adult self must've been really free to get that Regigigas
And then the manaphy and meloetta secrets in switch pokemon are both just as cryptic, it's so funny
*accidentally stumbles upon the azure flute in a old hacked copy of platinum buried in the ground, in a box, under a burnt house, and remembers my playthrough of reborn*
Oh... hey... would you like a marshmallow?
Thank you for reminding me of mew under trucks
As a kid I was confused by dig here. Spent all night translating it. Thankfully I waited till gen IV to go back and try again and catch all four Reggies.
Omg the second ranger game completely made that process easier my godds
Bruh- we found the favorite child
Well, never even knew Gigas was in ORAS
Honestly I wish getting the Legendary pokemon was still this much of a mystery
Getting the regis was so fun long ago for me❤ also braille helped later down the line for work surprisingly 😂
And yet they feel like the most well done in my opinion. They weren’t just waiting around for me to stumble across. I had to actively seek them out, uncover the clues and unseal their chambers.
It felt like a proper adventure. An intentional one rather than a mistake or coincidence like finding MewTwo in Cerulean Cave or Moltres on Victory Road.
Was brail the best choice to keep the clues hidden? Probably not for the folks whose copies were pre-owned or had lost their manual before getting there, but I still think that it is way better than the boring temples we got in Crown Tundra.
Regigas’ spawn conditions sound like a fucking jojo stand, and given that it has slow start I think he is a stand
It gets worse: in the og Hoenn games there’s only a handful of ways to get Dig:
1. The Single TM from Fallarbor
2. Trading Diglett/Dugtrio from FR/LG with Dig
3. Having Trapinch/Nincada naturally learn it at lvl 41/45
4?. Using Smeargle to sketch Dig from a random trainer’s Sandslash in Emerald? (saw this from a reddit comment)
I made the mistake of using the Dig TM in my recent Ruby run on my Swampert and then replacing it for Earthquake before the E4. Needless to say it was a headache to get a Nincada to that absurdly high level just for the niche of STARTING the Regis catching. What’s worse: as soon as Nincada learned Dig, I realized I could just get a heart scale and give it to the Move Relearner to get Dig back on my starter 🥲
... Huh, so that's why in my old save file I just captured Kyogre and called it a day-
After all these years, I never realized that was how to get Regigigas in ORAS. I nickname all my legendries and he was holding some item at the time because I thought he was cool and wanted him stronger lmfao
At least they made getting the Regis in Sw/Sh easier by having to whistle, have a Pokemon hold an Everstone, have Cryongonal in the lead of your party, have the other Regis in your party to get Regieleki or Regidrago, and have all five in your party to get a Dynamax battle for Regigigas.
Yes let's use a type of writing that you have to FEEL for the puzzle that is a great idea
I remember that in Platinum you needed Regigigas to capture the Three Regis
And you needed the Three Regis to capture Regigigas
Catching legendarys be like:
Go to this specific spot of the game at 6:35 in game EST on the 3rd Wednesday of November while spinning your console in a 368° circle then input Up, Up, Left, A, X, Shift, CTRL, Triangle, Half Circle for a 10% of this pokemon to spawn.
Process will need to be done again if it doesn't work
Diabolical to put braille in a place where blind people can’t possibly use it lol
I actually liked the Regis in Gen 3, it felt like a fun post-game activity.
Compared to other generations where you're just handed the legendaries.
When I found the first cave, I went to the library to rent a book on brail to figure out. This was for the remakes and I didn't have Internet until 2017 😅
He doesn't know the bomb theory chat
My childhood trauma
This is exactly why the regis remain my favourite legendary trio to date, despite not being all that great. They were the first time legendaries felt truly secret and just finding them was exciting. They didn't just feel legendary, they felt mythical.
The inclusion of Meloetta in the Indigo Disk with only the vaguest of hints as to how to find it bodes well for future games, though.
I named mine regi-ice because that's how it should be pronounced
I always loved the puzzles in hoenn.
Hey, who said other legendaries don't like sandwiches? Have you ever tried feeding Lugia a ham and cheese sandwich? I didn't think so
According to snacksworth, all the legendaries are hungry
I loved the Braille puzzles for the Regis! I wish more mythicals were done that way instead of just being handed to you in an event or raid
Honestly miss this type of effort for legendary Pokémon.
And they said " the Arceus event was too complicated "
I somehow caught Latias in a normal pokeball. Still baffled by that one
Im honestly still upset woth how long it took me to find regigigas after spending forever looking for the other regis
For the Braille there was an alphabet in the game manual which came with the games. Everytime I got stuck somewhere I always looked into the manual first, made it easy af to get the regis.
Still better than the kanto birds in x and y imo
