Stuart's results on the world stage speak for themselves - both in solo and band competition. But don't take my word for it - just look at them yourself. Don't believe them either? Jack Lee said he's perhaps the greatest piper on the planet at the moment. This performance speaks for itself - world class in every respect.
I think the third tune is 'The Lighthouse Reel'. I know that tune form one of the Tannahil Weavers recordings. Next come a tune from Chris Armstrong isn't it?
There's a version of Highland Wedding starting at 1:13. The next tune is a reel that a band I play with calls "The Nameless Reel". I'm not sure if that's the real name (of the reel) or whether we just don't know the name. I don't know the tune that starts at 3:43. At 4:17 he transitions into "The Famous Bridge" (aka An Drochaid Chliuteach). I'm blanking on the name of the last tune.
I really like the third tune, fantastic rhythm and playing! Also, just noticed he does the same thing as me when he rests his heel on his other foot :)
stuarts having fun at this concert hes not at competition hes playing to have fun and so the crowd has fun when he competes his technique and musical expression are better than anyone in this lifetime but for this kind of venue hes just having a good time thats why its great to listen too stuart wont go and play some ceol baeg medley or a MSR he'll playsomething fun like thunderstruck
Am I the only one who wouldn't be disappointed if I paid to see a stuart liddell performance and all he did was tune his pipes?
I will buy the ticket too. He is the most musical and technical perfect piper I have ever listned to. And I have had a few.......

No, I would buy those tickets, I'd probably learn more about tuning than what could ever know.
I am taught my Stuart. Amazing player and a very good tutor😃
You are the luckiest piper on Earth.
Amazing piper as always

I haven't ever heard the highland wedding being played like that amazing :)
One of the best pipers of our time. Your wrong by a long way!
Breathtaking.

Brilliant Highland Wedding - creative stuff Stuart.

The comedy part at the beginning makes me laugh every time :)!
asleep at the wheel - what a rad tune!
Pretty good! I admire his sound.

He is the PM of Inverary not Scottish Power
I don't see how he is "underrated"... underrated is someone like Robert Watt, or Alan Bevan....
You clearly have no idea what your talking about when it comes to the playing of the Bagpipe. He is one of the best in the world at what he does.
if not ,the best in the world!
Does anyone know the tune starting at 04:15?
Any negative comments about Liddell comes from people who are blatantly ignorant to anything having to do with bagpiping.
Pardon? He is perhaps the most musical piper on the planet at the moment.
legend
Asleep at the wheel.
Asleep At the Wheel is the name of the first tune.
does anybody knows the names of the tunes besides asleep at the wheel?
Mere words fail me. The only word I can think of is "supernatural".
Does anyone know what the first tune he plays is?
Crisp or what ?
its a march but he make it a hornpipe style
Anybody know the name of that last tune?
the last tune could be "The sheepwife"?
Elizabeth Connelly
the man can pipe
Yeah, he's alright I guess... if you like cracking execution and creative arrangements on a great bagpipe.
You Can't Argue with that! probably the best that's ever lived...Better than Alasdair? Probably. But he'd taken most of his skills from Aladair.
It seems like this guy has some potential.....hahaha.....just kidding he is awesome
39 likes + mine,and 1 English demiwanker
Hilarious
at least he can spell :/
I have never heard a more ignorant comment from anyone, its quite obvious you know nothing about piping.
