    That's a great-looking piece of equipment!

Thanks for the update, by accounts that conversion should be a "Must have" for early cars

Now that I've had it I think it truly is. I started getting frustrated that my exotic sports car had a worse shifting feel than my 2013 Mazda Mazda Speed 3. Now thankfully I can report that the shifting field is better than the Mazda!

Great video! An Emira version is likely going to be even more of a challenge.😳😅

I hope I have the chance to work on an Emira someday (I plan to own one eventually!)

    I would like this
but I already spent £1400 for the motorsport cables and gear linkage revision for the later S1 cars.
had it installed by lotus when I was doing gearbox work
it's not as good as the 400 aparently but quite a bit better than stock
I would say the money was well spent but you still can't rush the gearbox at high RPM

Agreed. It still doesn't want to do slam shifts. But it allows you to be much swifter than originally. And the worst part was originally I was actually missing shifts or banging off the gate. Which is not good obviously.
For sure if you've already done the upgrade to the later vehicle cables and linkage I would say this is not necessary for you to do.

Just found your channel, good stuff. Out of curiosity, where are you based out of? some of the places you have been are right near me. Anyway, I'm a new owner of a 14 Evora S IPS in South Jersey.

I'm in Delaware County Pennsylvania. Not far indeed. I have family in south jersey.

@GoodmorningGoodnight That's awesome. If you're ever this way, hit me up. It's rare getting multiple evoras in the same place. BTW I'll be at Main Line C&C in Wayne on the 23rd

Did the shifter height shorten a bit? I always felt the stock shifter was a bit too tall

    • @GoodmorningGoodnight
      @GoodmorningGoodnight  10 месяцев назад +1

Marginally shorter. But not a big change. The Colin Chapman standard was the shifter should be a hands width from the wheel for fast movements. Primary reason to do this install is durability. The old shifter is prone to failure, typically when you're miles from home.

Hi, I just looking for an Lotus Evora recently,
I wonder it's this car reliable or not ?

My experience has been very good. There are lots of little things to adjust, but nothing that stops the car from being reliable. I will say, get yourself a battery tender. Battery will discharge over time if not driven weekly/monthly.
