Thank you so much for this. I have been driving with mine flapping around in the wind for the entirety of 3yr ownership. I simply walked out to the garage and pushed it down to the second latch point and it is perfect now🤦♂️ I just assumed it came with the character of hand built British motoring.
Thanks for coming out with videos like these! They're extremely helpful! I've noticed my front access panel is a bit loose but didn't think too much about it. Now I'm realizing it never goes down to the second click so I think this will fix it. I'll also be tackling the inokinetic shifter V2 when that comes out and transmission cables with the help of your guide.
Nice fix. Sometimes I over think and I would have pulled the latch bolts out and put washers under the latch to raise it a little. Then I would have lined the underside of the panel with weather stripping.
@@chemicalspore I'm still thinking about the perfect thing to store up there in the front of the hatch. There's just enough space for some small 3-in by 2 in luggage. Lol

Haha. How about that. Great to hear. There's certainly character there. That's why we love 'em

My pleasure. It's fun for me too.
I had the same exact experience and probably ran into the same forum post. I was super surprised when I learned it should click twice as well.
Not sure why it was designed like that. I suppose it was some off-the-shelf latch that Lotus used

Not a bad idea. But not necessary. The adjustability of the stoppers makes it easy
@@GoodmorningGoodnight Like I said, I over think. My thinking is the weathe strip makes sure its water tight and no rattles

@@chemicalspore yes. This!
Change that dome light and all the others to LED! Boom, content. Lol
Cool! Noticed this but never thought to adjust it. Will give it a go
Easy enough to do!
Definitely going to.take a look at mine
How was it? Was it sitting correctly? :)
It is, but I have to replace my latch cord. I have a replacement, but haven't found another good reason to take the whole front bonnet off
...in the meantime, I have the reliable Lotus string pull that you should have installed on all of your latches 😅
@@nick_diesel haha. Awesome
