Mr Knight you have given me the opportunity in 35 years of swinging a golf club to experience the beauty of hitting a golf ball. Thank you very much!!!!
Great video. Thank you. I tend to finish my swing off balance with a hop or step in my follow through and generally get only 83 MPH club head speed with driver. I will try to put the brakes on to see if I can finish in balance and with more club head speed. I’ve tried most other things to increase speed.
Very interesting explanation. Although not specifically mentioned, I imagine that grip pressure has a big influence on how quickly the club 'snaps' into action from hip height?
you are showing max hand speed at 9 O'Clock but I thought it was was typically at the 7:30-8 O'Clock position where it occurs with the top golfers. No?
I used to do the same thing. I think I have learned is to cup the right hand and swing slower. My brother has a slow swing and it still goes a long way.

My pleasure. Hope you are getting even more enjoyment from your golf now.

Always great advice. Thank you.
Excellent Peter. Looks like the same action as the Iron Byron.
Thanks Bruiser. In that case, I think Iron Byron must be getting a bit rusty these days.
Thanks for the "key to speed"
great video
Excellent and clear explanation. A bit counterintuitive but then so much of golf seems to be like that!
Yes, so much about the golf swing seems that way at first.
Excellent advice, allow the club to accelerate naturally rather than trying to accelerate the club using your hands. Thanks Peter
Thanks Mark

Yes. A tight grip will inhibit and slow the movement.

It will usually be somewhere between chest and hip height, so 9:00-7:30. You are correct.
My problem is gripping the club too tight and kills my distance. It is like I cna't find that sweet spot of grip pressure and control of the club.
You’ll find it. Keep your fingers closed on the grip and wrists and arms soft.
