Really worth the watch great video seeing the change of seasons aswell. The new defender is awesome but id be to scared to scratch it whereas the old defender you almost want to have a few scatches .does that makes sense 😂.some great vehicles out and lovely bluebells adam👍

Was such a great day perfect weather and awesome selection of vehicles There was a few overgrown sections as the new defender and s pretty wide but out on the rocky tracks it just did it’s thing with the rock crawling mode very clever machine straight out of the box!! 👍👍
The defender just needs to be a bit more off road doesn't it the tyres less flashy paint and theres no articulation see im learning Adam. They need to make a road one and an all out off road one oh and a pick up they'd make billions with the right truck .Do like the defender new and old lukes truck is awesome though and a few other vehicles you've had out aswell 👍
He’s going to start modifying it now he’s got a 6” lift coming from Australia and few other goodies And talks of a thick body vinyl to protect it more from the bushy lanes Hopefully by the winter it should be fully prepped for some good adventures!!
realy nice to see a trooper out on the tracks , for thoser who have not seen my comments before I a big izuzu fan had several troopers and s couple of citations ( for site work they are unbeatable
Good trucks the trooper, when I worked for Vauxhall late 90’s early 2000’s used to see loads of Montereys basically a trooper don’t see any of them anymore

Great video-good angles, quality camera work. The Mitsubishi always impresses - or is it the skill of the driver?! The new style Defender - clearly very capable off road: top marks to the owner taking it down these lanes, considering the purchase cost! Those boxes attached to the rear glass height panel always look odd to me and must block the driver’s rear view: each to their own.

3:00 that defender couldve easily got through, he shouldve took the line everything else did, he went too far right. Hed of been fine otherwise, just got unlucky

Very clever traction control system how it just kept crawling at a steady pace even with a wheel up in the air! And the Trooper was awesome such a incredible vehicle credit to the owner for the build!
Just a thought for you and other videos you have quite a few of the old Land Rover defenders 90S it would be to see how they compare to the new Land Rover defender 90 especially when they have different engines and the base model has the 250BHP diesel engine again 3.0L engine but you can the 350BHP diesel engine and the 5.0L jaguar V8 engine in that model and the 90 hardtop van which is actually the cheapest version of the new defender 57 thousand pounds and two seats
One thing I will say is that the big Range Rover has the 4.4L V8 engine with 530 BHP and it’s turbocharged but it costs 120 thousand pounds without any options on the car and it’s a lot longer than the defender 130 so the Range Rover is not so good off road because of that one thing because it’s to long and wide but the Range Rover sport should be a good option
the trooper for me all day the engine is pretty much bomb proof and the 3.1 in the citation you could not blow up did not matter how much fuel was in the bowser it woul pull it to the end of the world
I have seen a few videos with the new Land Rover defenders 110 against the old ones and the new one is actually better because of the amount of control from the traction control system and the number of road settings they have compared to the original ones from 2010 and the new one has more ground clearance with the air suspension which is a 1600 pound option on most of the new the Land Rover defenders
Yes I have seen it before the reason why they are so good is that Land Rover has given the new defender the same traction control system that the big Range Rover has and they are using it in the discovery 5 and the Range Rover sport and the Range Rover velar is the discovery sport but they all work a bit differently from each other so it would be a very interesting test to see which one works the best in one of your routes
I would be interested to see how the Ford ranger raptor gets on with this route simply it has the most ground clearance and a 3.0L petrol engine with 300BHP but they cost 58 thousand pounds new
I know there's a lot of negative views about the L663 but it has Land Rover go anywhere DNA. I know because I own a classic 110 Defender and a new one. I take the new one where I took the old one....the scratches polish out and with decent wheels and tyres not much gets in its way.
Yah the new one does get a lot of slack! We’ve had a new one out with us a couple times ok they don’t flex but can still do anything in its way also the traction control system is amazing!! Check out the hummer H2 video,we have that new ineos,new defender ,old defender and Jimny up against each other! 👌👌

Impressive new 110 but it comes down to cost and longevity. An original 90-110 will last theoretically where as in a few years the new technology won't be cost effective. Nice to watch though.
We was all amazed at the new defenders crawling ability where the other vehicles needed momentum for the wheel lift section the L663 just crawled even with the wheels in the air no rocking forwards or backwards what a machine!???…👌
Haha yes our river guru wasn’t there to guide everyone across I had a go and well it didn’t go to plan! Haha but we did get to see Tim stuck on a pebble in the river haha

The grey one!! He would have made it over the river my fault for mis judging those pesky rocks in the river!!

First 3 lanes in this are tight and extremely scratchy for the new defender. Hope the defender had PPF on.

with all the traction control sensors now hub mounted it only take .5 of a degree to sctivate it

3.1 was the best engine by a mile! Don’t see many about these days nice to see Col’s example with hilux axels etc

Yeah I think the new defender has something like 80 ecu’s!! Where as a good old 300tdi has a wire to the alternator?🤔😂
