I would have liked to play an entire song with the band but it happened so fast… When I look the video, I think that Kirk was about starting to play if I had continued to play instead of crushing the cymbals at the end. Anyway, thank you Lars for your kindness! 🤘❤️🥁 I’ll definitely keep the sticks preciously but I’ll sometimes use these to play some Metallica songs.

love it!! metallica a deep and big, 'brand' but when you get to the bottom, its still 4 guys with good hearts.
I occasionally rag on Lars for being a sloppy drummer, but he was my first drummer idol when I grew up and the fact that he saw the kids sign and brought him on stage to play, albeit a short while, he made that kids wish come true.

That ended way better than that time Lars invited that guy up on stage without telling James and James told him "fuck off" or something along those lines, and the dude started crying. 🤣

Anyone that says Lars is a jerk, just doesn’t know. I’ve met him and he is the second or third most friendly, coolest and polite rockstar I’ve ever met. And what he did for that kid is the coolest thing in the world. That kid will never forget that and how could he, that’s awesome.

That was a great experience for that kid, but Lars ego and insecurity stop him way too soon.
I love Metallica. This kid came in completely cold. He was just getting warmed up …….and Lars shuts it down. Trying to do a good thing…..but it kinda ticked me off.
I think the venue forced them to end the show by 11pm. So if the kid had played longer we could have missed some Metallica tunes.
