Viagra and Cialis belong to the same class of medications called phosphodiesterase inhibitors.
Both are oral medications used to treat erectile dysfunction but, there are some basic differences that you should know before taking them.
In this video we have reviewed and compared both of these medicines and even have an answer for a better one.
The generic name of Viagra is Sildenafil and the generic name of Cialis is tadalafil. They boost a chemical in your body called nitric oxide.
Unlike viagra, Cialis is also used to treat enlarged prostate and pulmonary hypertension. So, Cialis has a broader spectrum of use than viagra
Strength wise: Viagra is available in 25mg, 50mg and 100mg While Cialis is available in a low strength of 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg and 20mg.
Cialis is usually taken orally 30minutes before the sexual activity. While viagra can be taken 30-60minutes before the activity.
Cialis is not affected by your meal or food intake; but a high fat meal can delay the action of viagra. So, take your medication accordingly.
Duration of action: Viagra usually lasts for about 4 hours. However, Cialis lasts much longer and is noteworthy for the amount of time it remains in your body. You may feel the effects of the drug up to 36 hours after you take it.
The side-effects of both medicines are almost the same like they both can cause nausea, headache, generalised muscle pain, back pain & flushing. However, side effects like indigestion and limb pain is specifically seen with Cialis and Viagra can cause vision change, rash, and dizziness
Now the drug interactions with other medicines are almost the same. There is no significant difference.

@@mieketelkamp1884 Maybe you need a higher dosage. Try and see if you can change your prescription to a higher dose and if that doesn't work, then try Viagra. If Viagra doesn't work then you may have to evaluate yourself as it's clearly not a physiologic issue that is preventing you from getting hard but rather a mental blockage of some sorts.
