@@Thetechchap is the mate book the one in you're video and the mate book x Pro from last year any different apart from cpu speeds? The screen size, quality speakers everything else still the same?
I will sell my Matebook 13 after only a few months, because there are some annoyances that you can't see anything about here in the video: 1) The keyboard backlighting is very important for me, on the Matebook 13 it's pretty weak. The biggest annoyance for me is that the keyboard backlight turns off automatically after a short time and can only be switched on again after pressing any key. I contacted Huawei Support and they told me they wanted it to save energy. You can't disable it. WTF, I want to decide for myself when to turn off the keyboard illumination or not. 2) For the same price you get a touch screen in the USA. Not here in Europe. What's this about? 3) The display is relatively dark, outside it is hardly usable because of the low brightness of the display and the strong reflection. Too bad, Huawei, the design of the Matebook 13 is very well done, but the limitations are just too big for me! I can't recommend it.
It probably has hyperthreading. That means that you have 4 physical cores and 4 more 'virtual' cores. That's also possible with 6, 8, and more cores (just not yet in a laptop because of thermal issues)
If you intend to use that phone transfer feature but don't like the sticker, surely you can stick it to a piece of card in your wallet? As the actual transfer is wifi based right?
Great video as always but could you atleast once in while review midrange phones or laptops that are pocket friendly cos most of that stuff are insanely expensive
It doesn't really. The reason MacBooks sell like crazy is not just the design or the specs, there are way more powerful laptops out there. What makes MacBooks stand out is the fact that they're running MacOS, which leaves no room for competition since it's limited to Apple devices only (unless you get a Hackintosh but those aren't sold)
@@MatthewMondilla7, See, everybody who needs an extremely reliable laptop, which is not just really portable but also powerful is going to get a MacBook. It doesn't really matter how old they are or what configuration they have, they still run like butter (if you don't try to stress a laptop from 2010 with tasks that even laptops from 2019 can barely handle). MacBook Pros are the go-to for everybody who edits videos thanks to MacOS-exclusive Final Cut Pro X as well. Which one has the best RAM, Matebook 13 16GB LPDDR3 or Zenbook 14 8GB LPDDR4?
Excellent video. Short and concise but very informative. One question, the PC in the background, what case is that?
It's a coolermaster h500m 👍
@@Thetechchap Thanks Tom!
I Wonder if the 13 inch version would be decent for Editing videos, at least 1080p. I like the portability of laptops but pc IS much better performance.
are you going to review the 2020 version?
So What Version Will The US get? I Am looking for this Same Version W/ Share Technology
Nice looking laptop.
4k video editing?
we hope to see some upgrade SSD and ram for this laptop like you did in some laptop reviews you've made 😊
how about the ryzn 5 amd edition? is it still good?
would yall recommend it for casual video editing like making fandom edits or vacation videos?
no
Can anyone help, I currently have the P20 Pro and I'm looking at the XZ3, is it worth the upgrade? Or is it a upgrade?
looks like the XZ3 is a decent phone, better ip rating and better screen, also comes with a better cpu, the downside would be the rear camera as i see it, If a better cpu and screen is important to you which i mean is important to most of us, i would consider getting it. its not launched yet so maybe wait till reviews are in and then make a decision. dont want any unforseen events to occur and you loose $700 USD
@@brandonmohammed9092 Thank you so much! Great information that I wouldn't have known.thank you.x

Wait for p30 pro..
Build quality and specs are not as nice as the Matebook pro. That's why the lower price.. But I think it hit a great balance there
Matebook pro is better I think
can any user verify the battery life ? is this model has the 10 hours of battery life...
Can you check if the Huawei share can work with other phones? And if so how would it look like. That itself is worth a whole another video
Huawei share only works with Huawei phones
@@Aba9846 wish there was a way or workaround to make it work with other phones
Can you remove the Huawei share sticker? For those who don't have a Huawei phone to use it anyway.
pls help. how do you enable your touchscreen on your matebook 13 i5
It doesn't have the touchscreen bro. Only i7 version has touchscreen.
Does anyone here have this computer and if you do, can you tell me wether its quiet or not? I mean when you're just doing schoolwork, surfing the internet, streaming a movie etc? No hard work just everyday things? The laptop I have atm is killing me in terms of the noise it makes even when I'm doing the easiest things....
Guys can you connect this laptop with two external monitors?
Nice ad man
Which should I buy? I7 matebook 13 for £1000 or I5 matebook pro for £1300?
It's pretty legit. It can play MK11 at recommrnded requirements. Though I personally wouldn't push it that much. Definitely good for schooling in my opinion. Without gaming it would last last 8 to 12 hrs.
Hey man great video! I wanted to ask I’m planning on buying this laptop but in my country it comes with intel graphics And I’ll go with the i7 version would it be good for editing videos because I’m going to buy it just specifically for editing...
did you just opened lightroom that fast ?
just bought one 13 inch model - 2019 with mx250 and i5 8265u 8GB.. and applied metal liquid paste.. runs faster than latest model 1700 in R20, 776 in R15 and more than 3800 3dmark scores in Fire Strike.. in Spy it has more than 1400 3dMarks! amasing machine. with Thermal Grizzly paste applied and Throttlestop it doesnt go to hot, and runs amasingly fast after underclock and GPU OC. I am totally pleased with this laptop. as after slight oc and repaste and some tuning.. it is faster than my old Dell XPS 9560! how! amasing stuff. I am switching to Huawei, despite all that shit that this company has run into lately.
