Jig: Northland Tackle 1/4oz Deep Vee Jig, Black Thread: Danvilles 210, Black Tail: Arctic Goat, Black Body: Buck Tail, Black Flash: Holographic Flashabou, Brown
Yep, can't go wrong with black. I love a mostly black jig with a little chartreuse or white to give it a little contrast. Very nice neat job! I was wondering if you could do a video breaking down the tools for jig/fly tying. I just got into it and have my Peak vise but found it overwhelming to know what other tools to buy like bobbins, thread, head cement, etc. Another video about materials such as flash, hair, dubbing, etc. would be helpful. You could even hook up with a fly-tying store (sponsor) and list tool recommendations. It might get you a few extra bucks for making more videos.
No Problem! I can get some things together and shoot a video! Glad you are getting into it! Its a great way to pass the time between fishing trips! Ill work on that video and get it out ASAP!
All black, or add a little purple, or chartreuse, that and a grey ghost catch a lot of fish. I don’t have any goat hair, think I might try a rabbit zonker strip instead. Maybe I need to get some goat hair. That one looks good!
Rabbit strip would work well! Chartreuse and black is one of my favorite color patterns. Goat hair is very lively in the water and doesnt break the bank! Lure parts on line has lots of colors. Orvis sells it as well. Thanks!
@@juniorsfishingcompany I bought some Arctic goat hair. I will tie both goat and zonker, see what works. Good luck with the end of the school year! I teach high school science north of you a little. May is always a interesting time! Tight lines!
