I feel so bad for the Dark Colossus. It was being attacked just for existing. Yes, it was a danger to both Androids and machines, but it didn't know. It only fought back because it wanted to live.
It has a name, Grün in reference to the philosopher of the same name. This theme also plays for the Jack of Hearts, a giant shade boss that attacks the village in Replicant/Gestalt. Gotta love how the theme works well in both contexts, a lonely giant too dangerous to be left alive and a massive unrelenting beast that seems bloodthirsty at first but was just fighting its all to save what's left of humanity.
You can feel the danger , the urgency , what is at stake, the size of it ! ready to throw yourself into the fight Epicness at max level ! Boss fight music at it's finest

As soon as I heard this open in game I swore this was shadowlord so hard that I woke my husband up. I was waiting for a Shadowlord mix for the entire game and I never got one. I was so mad. It was close enough though.
This was the theme of the valley area in the original Nier gestalt/replicant. It really made me uncomfortable but this orchestral remix they delivered in automata is simply brilliant.

Also, I love your placement of Mounring as a bridge, but i feel i like the original organ solo bridge better. There's a reason why Okabe chose that to be the bridge in the original retail release of the track.

Yeah, you can. This game doesn't have too many of the generic Anime tropes or clichés, and it may sound surprising, but aside from 2B's character design, there's little to no fan-service in the game.
