What made me realize they were end game was when Sasuke got so angry when he saw Sakura was beaten up in the forest of death when his cursed mark first activated. He went on a rampage and his cursed mark only receded when Sakura hugged him from behind. I believe you missed that one. Actually there were a lot of sasusaku moments in that arc. He protected Sakura a lot and was concerned for her.

My understanding on the part of Sasuke refusing to acknowledge Sakura's feeling is because of how much he hates himself. When he tried to kill her, he was denying the one person who loved him more than the level of family and friend. Imagine the pain of killing the one person left of his family that loved him, certainly Sasuke felt that he does not deserved to be loved thus to deny any evidence of anyone loving him, he will eliminate all that loves him and since Karin also shows that she likes him this includes her in his kill list. Psychologically looking at this part, it shows just how broken Sasuke was. Looking at this point of view, it make their love even more tragic. And this made Sakura even more remarkable in that the strength of her love overcome even his self hatred and that ultimately gave him hope. Naruto's part in this relationship is more like a reminder to Sasuke that here is someone that will always welcome him. But welcome and home are two different things which is why the line where he told Sakura that he's home is important. To Sasuke, home is not Konoha. Home is where Sakura is.

It was adapted into the Boruto anime with the rest of the content from the other writer so the original commenter might be right. He was also responsible for the time travel arc in Boruto.
Honestly, ppl need to hear Kishi's thoughts and quotes on the relationship, and go back and rewatch them, because he has even said from Sakura's first confession and Sasuke leaving the village that Sakura "filled his lonely existence with love". Sasuke never hated Sakura, and sure he may have found her annoying at times, but she never genuinely annoyed him or angered him despite their first impression in chapter 3. People just misunderstood Sasuke's character and Kishi's writings. Sasuke took notice and appreciated Sakura's love for him. It was something he craved, for someone to care about him

Not true whatsoever. Sakura cried multiple times when it came to Sasuke, and the whole relationship put her in a bad metal state altogether. If they weren’t on the same team Sasuke wouldn’t even know who she is. When she doesn’t think about Sasuke she is stronger, but when Sasuke comes into the picture she turns into a fan girl. It’s a generally toxic relationship. Sakura doesn’t get any respect from anybody, and she continued to chase Sasuke until he was tired of her advances and gave into a relationship with her. The same applies to Hinata. Everyone acts like she deserves Naruto and that she was alway there for him even though she literally wasn’t. She was just watching him like a stalker and watching him suffer, not doing anything about it. All she said was “N-Naruto-kun.” Her confession to Naruto was ignored and he forgot about it. Of Kishimoto cared he would write Sasusaku and wouldn’t accept the last where Naruto only realized that he “loved” Hinata through a genjutsu, which Killer Bee stated that jinchūriki can break out of when they have control over the tailed beast. Both ships have crappy writing and development.

Well those novels aren’t canon. Kishimoto didn’t write them. If he cared about SS he would have written about them himself and actually developed them. The novels are basically fan fiction.

omg. sasuke says "you're still annoying" because he's showing her that he still remember when he first said it a long time ago. just as sakura was yelling at him that she still loves him when he was going to kill naruto and he replies "you're still as annoying as ever", he's saying it because he KNOWS she still remembers from all those years ago and is showing her that he remembers too. it's not a nice thing to say, but it's sasuke and the first time he said it he meant it. he was going to kill naruto but not sakura. sasuke is a complex character who has a lot of walls up, but he clearly slowly opened up to sakura and naruto after the war regardless if he was away or not.

I was young when I shipped it. I honestly saw through all these things throughout the story and I'm happy to see them together. For those who say Sasuke doesn't care for his wife and his daughter because he's hardly there. You gotta think, he has betrayed Konoha so he has to go to these missions in order to pay his debt. If not, the villagers and ninjas would still think he's a traitor. He really needs to make it up for every mess he has made. He does care he just is trying to figure out how to show his own feelings. He has to work for the village and protect it. Imagine it, he's technically all work and no play because he has a lot of responsibilities to work out.

Why do so many people have problems with NaruHina, and ship Sakura with Naruto? There are plenty of reasons not to ship Sakura and Naruto...and there are plenty of reasons why NaruHina works. Kishimoto even states that Sasuke and Sakura were Canon, as well as Naruto and Hinata. “The Last” May not have been his idea, but the canon ships were in fact, Kishimoto’s idea. People say there’s no basis for Naruto and Hinata, but there’s plenty of it. Naruto is just dense, and Hinata is a shy girl. Things don’t progress all too fast when a female protagonist or a male protagonist is shy. And even worse, when their counterpart is dense. The two other characters besides the team member of team 7 and Hinata that are obviously shipped, is Shikamaru and Temari. There’s evidence of their relationship repeatedly. There’s nothing “magically just happening” with their relationship either... There’s basis for how a lot of the team ends up with who they end up with. Even Ino and Sai. As Sai had no shame, was unbelievably honest, and fell for Ino. Reasoning might have started off surface, but got deeper. There’s also information on how Chouji ended up with Karui of the cloud.. To Sasuke, Team 7 became his family. They had a stronger bond than any possible team in the entire series. They had every form of love in the series. From Sasuke's perspective Kakashi is a father figure: always teaching him about life especially with his tree lecture. Naruto gives brotherly kinda love, like they fight and all but in the end, they both care for each other more than any other in the world. Sakura was the romantic love. She pined for him, yearning for his reciprocation. He reciprocated every second of the way, but the hatred of Itachi and lust for power made him feel unworthy of all of the love that she had to offer him. This was the same for Naruto and Kakashi in different lights. "You're my one and only friend" is what Sasuke said to Naruto. The one person he truly trusts with taking care of something precious to him like Sakura. Sakura is not useless. You spent so much of this video mocking her you strained your voice. You even took away from Sakura telling Naruto she loved him, and to tell him to stop going after Sasuke because she thought the promise he made all those years ago was hurting him so much after failing so many times. She didn't lie to him. Love takes on so many forms, but romantic love toward Naruto didn't make as much sense. She lied to herself. You can see her logically fighting her own beliefs to coax herself into loving Naruto. She wasn't being a bitch. She wasn't manipulating him.

The girls and guys crushed on one person and either they developed getting to know that person and it progressed to a relationship or they progressed a relationship with someone else and that someone is who they ended up with! Sasuke is a very private and reserved person. A lot of it is learned due to his past but his behavior, i think, resembles his father’s. His dad always seemed unimpressed with Sasuke’s achievements but when he was alone with his wife, all he could talk about was how proud he was and how much he loved his son. I see a very strong resemblance in Sasuke’s behavior towards his family. His love is there and is very strong but muted and vailed, only to be revealed by his actions and the occasional word of reassurance.

If you talked about Sakura Hiden, in that novel Sasuke didn't rescue her, she "rescued" herself then Naruto with Hinata (and Kakashi I think) showed up. Sasuke DID come near the place where she was taken but didn't met with them, only beat up those bad guys who kidnaped her and run away after loosing to Sakura and others.

I swear looking back on OG Naruto, Sasuke treated her the best out of the whole cast. He never insulted her, never demoralized her, stood up for her, called her out on her mistakes, and vice versa. The two were always protecting and supporting each other, as a couple does. Sasuke knew damn well he could pull any girl, but it was only because they thought he was good looking. Sakura went above and beyond to protect the team, not just Sasuke, and was a reliable and trustworthy person staring death in the face, over and over, and that's exactly what Sasuke needed. By the time he left the village, he got his ass beat so many times, he knew he had to get strong. When he says to her "You haven't changed, you're still annoying" I can tell he's fucking screaming on the inside like "Damn it. I'm gonna miss you the most" but he had to make a choice to get strong, or give into what he wanted: The in one who could secure his clan's future, over what he needed: To be strong to protect that future, wether it was Sakura or not. He tried so hard to push her away, and you can tell by his "Thank you for everything" that she was special to him. Then there's Shippuden. He didn't have to try and kill her or Naruto so many times. He didn't have to hate them. There was no reason to. If anything he should've been happy to see them, and proud of how far they've come, setting the stage for competition instead of straight up declaration of war with the leaf. Shippuden turned Sasuke and Sakura into toxic, unlikeable characters, and it breaks my heart. Those two could've been so much more, but all we got was an incredibly confused international criminal and a very desperate housewife.
There was so much missed opportunities for interesting character designs in Boruto. It's like the designers just got lazy and made everyone complete carbon copies of just one parent instead of a combination of both. A good example of using a combination is Chocho. For instance, how much cooler would it have been to see a female version of Naruto in Himawari? Or give Boruto spikier black hair (inherited from Hinata) in order to make a nod at Menma, the AU version of Naruto?
ACTUALLY. You have to understand Sasuke's attitude towards loving relationship. The more that he 'loves' someone, the harder he will try to get away from it. The best example is Naruto... how many times he had tried to kill him? Yet he is one who get him to go back to the village (you know, Talk no Justu). The switch in Sasuke's brain occurs when Itachi kills his whole family; the person he loves the most become the person he hate the most! That is how he expresses himself in loving relationship, by hate and violence. He probably isn't keen to feel hurt again. Hey I'm not saying it's a great strategy, but it make sense. I love Sakura and Sasuke. Although I think Sakura should have let go of him muuuuch earlier to focus on herself and interest, it show her strength of character. I'm sure Sasuke's childhood (and even Naruto's!) must have influenced her in developing the Mental Health Clinique fort Children. In that regard, we can understand how Sasuke's experience of life is relevant to her own. My two cents.

Its amazing how characters created in an impossible world can be so real with their lessons. Many people who have been hurt and lost become illogical and very walled up. The curse of rejection and loss is a hard thing to shake even with years of counselling. You mind read and isolate. Fufilling your own nightmare. The best way out is to recieve pure persistent genuine love. A true unconditional love. So that you say to yourself, "Even now, after all that I did you love me? I don't want to do this anymore...I want to be happy with you. I want to believe you."
Sakura had a crush on him as kids and she fell in love around chunin exams when she saw him sacrifice and be brave. Sasuke liked her when they became Team 7 and he was in love with her by the time he was leaving the village bc he described Sakura to be the one who filled his life with love in the databook. He didn't realize he was in love until he apologized to her after the war.
Come at me all you want when I say this, but I personally think Sasuke always had at least a tiny bit of feelings for Sakura starting around the Chunin exams arc but was too shy to admit them, considering that when Sakura fought the Sound Shinobi, he asked her who hurt her before he rampaged on them all, and also when Sakura restrained him by hugging him, he stopped almost immediately. Also because what was stated at 16:38. And when Sasuke was hospitalized later on in Part 1, Sakura hugged him in his hospital bed and Sasuke didn’t reject her affection. But when Sasuke went to Orochimaru’s side he tried to forget about all of this since he chose to break all bonds with Team 7, and after finally getting the sense knocked back into him from Naruto he accepted his feelings for Sakura. Of course at the end of Shippuden at Naruto and Hinata’s wedding Sakura gets a congratulatory note from Sasuke for her 20th birthday as her birthday also fell on Naruto and Hinata’s wedding day. Further evidence is in the light novel Sasuke Shinden where at the end of the novel he gets a letter from Naruto where he mentions Sakura remembering his dream of joining the Konoha police force. Realizing his home is Konoha with Sakura, he turns around and heads for Konoha. The end of the novel collaborates with Sakura Hiden, while in Sakura’s novel Sasuke states “I’m home Sakura”, in Sasuke’s novel Sakura states “Welcome home Sasuke-kun”. And of course they got together eventually. I don’t care what you tell me this is my theory.
People overlook the novels, you can answer a lot of questions using the novels if you read close. Stuff gets hidden in plain sight. I do think you missed a few things in the novels for this relationship. Dope video man!

Even Naruto and Sasuke has more chemistry and make more sense if both of them end up with each other more than Sasuke and Sakura. Kishimoto even stated that he almost not put Sasuke and Sakura together at the last minute which reinforce that point.
I have always loved the relationship between Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura acts very clingily and then she does finally manages to get him. I feel really proud of her, even if she was desperate. Their relationship in Boruto seems very pure regardless of however they acted as children. A crush changing into real feelings is beautiful.

My understanding on the part of Sasuke refusing to acknowledge Sakura's feeling is because of how much he hates himself. When he tried to kill her, he was denying the one person who loved him more than the level of family and friend. Imagine the pain of killing the one person left of his family that loved him, certainly Sasuke felt that he does not deserved to be loved thus to deny any evidence of anyone loving him, he will eliminate all that loves him and since Karin also shows that she likes him this includes her in his kill list. Psychologically looking at this part, it shows just how broken Sasuke was. Looking at this point of view, it make their love even more tragic. And this made Sakura even more remarkable in that the strength of her love overcome even his self hatred and that ultimately gave him hope. Naruto's part in this relationship is more like a reminder to Sasuke that here is someone that will always welcome him. But welcome and home are two different things which is why the line where he told Sakura that he's home is important. To Sasuke, home is not Konoha. Home is where Sakura is.

It was adapted into the Boruto anime with the rest of the content from the other writer so the original commenter might be right. He was also responsible for the time travel arc in Boruto.

Honestly, ppl need to hear Kishi's thoughts and quotes on the relationship, and go back and rewatch them, because he has even said from Sakura's first confession and Sasuke leaving the village that Sakura "filled his lonely existence with love". Sasuke never hated Sakura, and sure he may have found her annoying at times, but she never genuinely annoyed him or angered him despite their first impression in chapter 3. People just misunderstood Sasuke's character and Kishi's writings. Sasuke took notice and appreciated Sakura's love for him. It was something he craved, for someone to care about him

It’s a generally toxic relationship. Sakura doesn’t get any respect from anybody, and she continued to chase Sasuke until he was tired of her advances and gave into a relationship with her. She was just watching him like a stalker and watching him suffer, not doing anything about it. All she said was “N-Naruto-kun.” Her confession to Naruto was ignored and he forgot about it. Of Kishimoto cared he would write Sasusaku and wouldn’t accept the last where Naruto only realized that he “loved” Hinata through a genjutsu, which Killer Bee stated that jinchūriki can break out of when they have control over the tailed beast. Both ships have crappy writing and development.

sasuke is a complex character who has a lot of walls up, but he clearly slowly opened up to sakura and naruto after the war regardless if he was away or not.

Why do so many people have problems with NaruHina, and ship Sakura with Naruto? There are plenty of reasons not to ship Sakura and Naruto...and there are plenty of reasons why NaruHina works. Kishimoto even states that Sasuke and Sakura were Canon, as well as Naruto and Hinata. “The Last” May not have been his idea, but the canon ships were in fact, Kishimoto’s idea.
People say there’s no basis for Naruto and Hinata, but there’s plenty of it. Naruto is just dense, and Hinata is a shy girl. Things don’t progress all too fast when a female protagonist or a male protagonist is shy. And even worse, when their counterpart is dense.
The two other characters besides the team member of team 7 and Hinata that are obviously shipped, is Shikamaru and Temari. There’s evidence of their relationship repeatedly. There’s nothing “magically just happening” with their relationship either...
There’s basis for how a lot of the team ends up with who they end up with. Even Ino and Sai. As Sai had no shame, was unbelievably honest, and fell for Ino. Reasoning might have started off surface, but got deeper.

To Sasuke, Team 7 became his family. They had a stronger bond than any possible team in the entire series. They had every form of love in the series. From Sasuke's perspective Kakashi is a father figure: always teaching him about life especially with his tree lecture. Naruto gives brotherly kinda love, like they fight and all but in the end, they both care for each other more than any other in the world. Sakura was the romantic love. She pined for him, yearning for his reciprocation. He reciprocated every second of the way, but the hatred of Itachi and lust for power made him feel unworthy of all of the love that she had to offer him. This was the same for Naruto and Kakashi in different lights.
"You're my one and only friend" is what Sasuke said to Naruto. The one person he truly trusts with taking care of something precious to him like Sakura.

Sakura might not be the best character, but hating her so intensely just for being an annoying bitchy child (mainly to Naruto) without trying to understand her is literally unfounded (plus calling her weak when she wasn’t weak, just not as good as Naruto and Sasuke). Sasuke is a very private and reserved person. A lot of it is learned due to his past but his behavior, i think, resembles his father’s. His dad always seemed unimpressed with Sasuke’s achievements but when he was alone with his wife, all he could talk about was how proud he was and how much he loved his son. I see a very strong resemblance in Sasuke’s behavior towards his family. His love is there and is very strong but muted and vailed, only to be revealed by his actions and the occasional word of reassurance.

If you talked about Sakura Hiden, in that novel Sasuke didn't rescue her, she "rescued" herself then Naruto with Hinata (and Kakashi I think) showed up. Sasuke DID come near the place where she was taken but didn't met with them, only beat up those bad guys who kidnaped her and run away after loosing to Sakura and others.

I swear looking back on OG Naruto, Sasuke treated her the best out of the whole cast. He never insulted her, never demoralized her, stood up for her, called her out on her mistakes, and vice versa. The two were always protecting and supporting each other, as a couple does. Sasuke knew damn well he could pull any girl, but it was only because they thought he was good looking. Sakura went above and beyond to protect the team, not just Sasuke, and was a reliable and trustworthy person staring death in the face, over and over, and that's exactly what Sasuke needed. By the time he left the village, he got his ass beat so many times, he knew he had to get strong. When he says to her "You haven't changed, you're still annoying" I can tell he's fucking screaming on the inside like "Damn it. I'm gonna miss you the most" but he had to make a choice to get strong, or give into what he wanted: The in one who could secure his clan's future, over what he needed: To be strong to protect that future, wether it was Sakura or not. He tried so hard to push her away, and you can tell by his "Thank you for everything" that she was special to him.
Then there's Shippuden. He didn't have to try and kill her or Naruto so many times. He didn't have to hate them. There was no reason to. If anything he should've been happy to see them, and proud of how far they've come, setting the stage for competition instead of straight up declaration of war with the leaf. Shippuden turned Sasuke and Sakura into toxic, unlikeable characters, and it breaks my heart. Those two could've been so much more, but all we got was an incredibly confused international criminal and a very desperate housewife.

There was so much missed opportunities for interesting character designs in Boruto. It's like the designers just got lazy and made everyone complete carbon copies of just one parent instead of a combination of both. A good example of using a combination is Chocho. For instance, how much cooler would it have been to see a female version of Naruto in Himawari? Or give Boruto spikier black hair (inherited from Hinata) in order to make a nod at Menma, the AU version of Naruto?
ACTUALLY. You have to understand Sasuke's attitude towards loving relationship. The more that he 'loves' someone, the harder he will try to get away from it. The switch in Sasuke's brain occurs when Itachi kills his whole family; the person he loves the most become the person he hate the most! That is how he expresses himself in loving relationship, by hate and violence. He probably isn't keen to feel hurt again. Hey I'm not saying it's a great strategy, but it make sense. I love Sakura and Sasuke. Although I think Sakura should have let go of him muuuuch earlier to focus on herself and interest, it show her strength of character. I'm sure Sasuke's childhood (and even Naruto's!) must have influenced her in developing the Mental Health Clinique fort Children. In that regard, we can understand how Sasuke's experience of life is relevant to her own. My two cents.

Its amazing how characters created in an impossible world can be so real with their lessons. Many people who have been hurt and lost become illogical and very walled up. The curse of rejection and loss is a hard thing to shake even with years of counselling. You mind read and isolate. Fufilling your own nightmare. Come at me all you want when I say this, but I personally think Sasuke always had at least a tiny bit of feelings for Sakura starting around the Chunin exams arc but was too shy to admit them, considering that when Sakura fought the Sound Shinobi, he asked her who hurt her before he rampaged on them all, and also when Sakura restrained him by hugging him, he stopped almost immediately. Also because what was stated at 16:38. And when Sasuke was hospitalized later on in Part 1, Sakura hugged him in his hospital bed and Sasuke didn’t reject her affection. But when Sasuke went to Orochimaru’s side he tried to forget about all of this since he chose to break all bonds with Team 7, and after finally getting the sense knocked back into him from Naruto he accepted his feelings for Sakura. Of course at the end of Shippuden at Naruto and Hinata’s wedding Sakura gets a congratulatory note from Sasuke for her 20th birthday as her birthday also fell on Naruto and Hinata’s wedding day. Further evidence is in the light novel Sasuke Shinden where at the end of the novel he gets a letter from Naruto where he mentions Sakura remembering his dream of joining the Konoha police force. Realizing his home is Konoha with Sakura, he turns around and heads for Konoha. The end of the novel collaborates with Sakura Hiden, while in Sakura’s novel Sasuke states “I’m home Sakura”, in Sasuke’s novel Sakura states “Welcome home Sasuke-kun”. And of course they got together eventually. I don’t care what you tell me this is my theory.

Even Naruto and Sasuke has more chemistry and make more sense if both of them end up with each other more than Sasuke and Sakura. I have always loved the relationship between Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura acts very clingily and then she does finally manages to get him. I feel really proud of her, even if she was desperate.
