Yes these are absolutely awesome bikes especially with modified exhaust systems, they sound just great. I’ve since sold this now but I do have a GT550 with incredible pipes on and sounds awesome! I have published a video in my channel
This is an incredibly rare 1977 SUZUKI GT250C one of the last of this model prior to the SUZUKI X7 250. It has had a lot of work over the years and even has micron exhausts which have been welded to the downpipes and re-chromed for that flush finish, rather than having a joint. It has a restored engine by specialists and runs like a Swiss watch!
Sounds awesome ,I had many gt,s back in the day .A nice touch welding the headers to the microns ,mine used to leak oil at that original joint . Lovely
reminds me of my RD 250 DX, it had microns, flat slide crabs & pod filters, and sounded just like that, I could never get over how easily it started, half a press on the kickstart and it would fire up,
I'm an RD guy for 2t street motorcycles, but god damn that Suzuki GT is gorgeous.... I don't even like blue, no bikes, no cars, but I still wouldn't change it, not one thing on that beautiful bike (even though I'd probably take those gorgeous, but small Microns off, and get some custom stainless expansions welded up, saving the Microns though 😅)

You can tell this is a late model because it doesn't have the Ram Air cowl the Suzuki twins and triples (except the GT750) had for years. The cowl was always of dubious use anyway.
Why did Suzuki fit a 150 MPH Speedometer to this bike. Even a GT750 couldn't reach 150 MPH. Love the bike, just wondering if that speedo was factory fitted or was it retro fitted.
The GT250 always performed better if the larger bore carbs, from the T250 Hustler / T305 Raider were fitted. The T305 Raider is the T250 Hustler bored out to take T350 Rebel pistons. The same can be done to the GT250 as well.
The T305 had a bore of 60mm and was introduced in the US in 1968. The T350, introduced in the US in 1969, had a 61mm bore and a displacement of 315CCs. The cylinders are interchangeable across all three of the 1968 and later 250/305/350 with oil injection to outer crankshaft bearings and cylinders. The '66-'69 T/TC20 cylinders will not interchange with these later engines.

Allspeeds were better made imo, Micron's had the ugly centre seam construction similar to original Suzuki exhausts, Allspeeds were manufactured like the Yamaha style pipes with no centre seam if that makes sense :)
I have Allspeeds for my GT185, and I think they are a little wider at the end of the pipe. I think these will be Microns, but I know what you mean, as they don't have a typical 'endcan' like other Microns, and are flush instead like all (?) Allspeeds.
I always though allspeeds wer alot wider where they went into the silencer and microns were like a race pipe and narrow before silencer. Could be wrong though lol

Put expansions on my GT back in the day . Took them off pretty quick . Noisy as fk and didnt go any faster . Great bike though . And reliable .

The stock GT250 C was actually faster than the stock X7 (98 MPH versus the X7's 95 MPH).
