The brilliance of this Man comes from his ability to be absolutely present within his music as he performs it. In this clip, he's up there having a great time relating to the same lyrics he must have sung a thousand times. No two versions would sound exactly the same because, in the space he's created within his music, he responds in the moment to the energy he feels within himself, from the audience and from musicians around him. Truly gifted.
absolutely. He lives the music. he is the music. you cannot separate him from the music. Music at it's most powerful. at it's most meaningful. At it's best.

Got lucky in life, born in Belfast, same year as Van and an ardent admirer since his “Them” days.
50years I been a listener I believe he is and has been the greatest vocalist since Elvis and Roy Orbison died
Words cannot express how much I love Van the Man!! This music always brings me back to the happiest time of my life. Thanks Van for sharing your genius with the world.
Dieser Mensch hat mein gesamtes musikalisches Leben geprägt und begleitet.
Herzlichen Dank dafür.
An all time favorite, masterpiece of cohesion, an orchestra of one pulse.
Purfection. Love this man. Sad to have missed him in concert with Ray Charles before Ray died, as I was ill at the time.
Legend. Been listening to him for over an hour while walking.
This music opens heaven to me...! Keep calm and listen to Van "The Man" Morrison...!
