    I never thought of painting with inks. I have some from my calligraphy phase. Brilliant! A tiny amount of water will make them go a long way thank you!

      Honestly I use less than a small ink caps worth of black for most of my paintings, it does go a long way!

    Do you dillute the paint when adding colour? I use the same acrylic ink as you and when i add colour i tend to overdraw the shadows that i drew before with black. Hope this makes sense.

      I have the same problem. As well as yellow turning in to green if I shade underneath it.

      You're supposed to wait for the black to dry before you put your color down

  • @Lucy.S
    @Lucy.S 3 года назад +1

    OMG I think you might have solved my problem with shading!! Does it happen to you that the ink doesnt wash when using the water brush? I have this problem, that leaves a very strong mark where the ink was placed and it doesnt wash!!! Dunno why this started happening suddenly....If someone has advice please feel free to comment!!!!

    • @BLINDAMBITION
      @BLINDAMBITION  3 года назад +1

      Could be a couple of reasons, maybe your ink is drying too fast before you blend it out, or you’re using too little ink and again it’s drying too fast, or it could even be down to what paper you’re using..or is your water brush wet enough? Try out a few blend tests with different amounts of ink/water and you should find the sweet spot 👍🏻

  • @JackJaguarTCG

    Won’t the ink be swallowed though? Or do you spit after you have the ink in tour brush/mouth? And couldn’t it stain your teeth? I’m just curious about the health risks with doing spit shading before trying it

    • @BLINDAMBITION
      @BLINDAMBITION  3 года назад +1

      I use a separate brush for water and when it gets too much paint on it I’ll wipe it off, so hardly any ever gets in my mouth. There have been a few instances where I’ve put the wrong brush in my mouth though!

    After your shading, when you're applying your primaries. It looks like your brush is a little wet since the paint already looks kind of faded. Am I understanding this right or no?

    • @BLINDAMBITION
      @BLINDAMBITION  3 года назад

      The paint can sometimes be quite opaque, so depending on the colour I will wet my brush slightly for easier application
