Can you please make a video on how to diagnose issues with drum brakes and handbreak cables. I once adjusted our Toyota Conquest drum breaks but it only lasted for a few weeks. Very good video , I have a nissan almera n16 1.8L 2004 automatic, some times stall in idle while I am at red light (traffic light) or stopping sign , I been cleaned the Maff and throttle body , Changed air filter, no engine management light , no code , do you know where's does to look at ? Thanks
Crank angle sensor is prone to stuff up on these especially noticeable stall on idle or at low speed. There was a recall for this problem in about 2002 from my memory.
Had the same issue. The fuel injectors (FBJB100) are made by UNISIA JECS (owned by Hitachi - the same company manufacturing the coils). You have to remove the fuel injectors and clean them with laquer thinners (hook a small 9v battery to it and a small hose and purge the thinners in reverse through it). Then let it "click" a few times to clean the solenoid inside. After that it should be good again (perform an idle air volume re-learn). These are lean-burn engines (the only lean-burn engine Nissan has ever made). They work different from stoichiometry engines and are more sensitive to these type of things.
Thank you Gary, I have the 2003 1.6 Lux. Just replaced radiator and thermostat, bled it well and all good. 1 month later noticed a slight humming noise and noticed bottom radiator pipe ice cold and top hose very hot, gauge shows normal temp. Im thinking its the water pump ??? which looks like a big job.
Good evening kind sir, I have a 2002 Nissan Almera 16 v twin cam, and I recently found out the previous owner had a problem with the car dying at the robot and didn't want to restart so they took it to someone and they said it was a problem with the fuel pump, it eventually started again however now I'm told theres a delay when accelerating and I also smell fuel, my uncle checked it and said the Throttle sensor needs to be replaced, a 3pin single. Pleaser advise on this. Thank you and a gt8 video in deed.
The Nissan Almera is a timing chain engine when the timing chain stretches the cam and crank sensors go out of sync and disturbs the timing of the engine, the problem you describe sounds like this.

@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 I've not seen the timing chain issue on SA models, though it depends on how regular the car was maintenanced (oil changes). Normally this only occurs on the overseas N16 model which also features Variable Valve Timing (omitted from the SA model). I've opened the front timing cover on mine (180000kms) and it was not stretched even 1mm (but I can't say it would not happen ever - I just have not seen it on SA models as of yet). It has an adjuster to compensate for stretch over time, but once it goes over 12mm the ignition timing (timing of the coil trigger) goes out.
Hi there, where does the computer box sits of this car? I've got a 2002 model, two plugs does not spark, it's not the coils checked it, not the plugs no power coming to 3 and 4
If you open the hood and stand in front of it - it sits on the right hand side (assuming you face the vehicle from the front, so it's on the passenger side). You will see a black cover with a hose (not connected to anything) and a lot of wires. If you remove that cover - you can pull out the ECU.

Hello my friend, I'm from Africa Mozambique and my car doesn't pass 2500 rpm its nissan wingroad wfy11 motor qg15de same as your motor twin cam 16 valves, can u help me ?
It could be stretched timing chains. If there is a rattling sound in the engine on start-up, then the timing chains have to be replaced. When the chain stretches the cam and crank sensors receive an incorrect timing signal, therefore, causing the timing of the engine to go out and causing power problems as a consequence.
This is when the car enters "limp mode 1". Caused by a faulty MAF. The ECU reduces the rev limiter to 2500 RPM automatically as these cars are not drive-by-wire (they still have a mechanical throttle).

According to your description of the issue, there could be many causes, namely a failing fuel pump, fuel pump relay, computer box failure, and stretched timing chains, when the chains stretch the timing of the engine goes out as the signal to the cam and crank sensors are severely affected, I had this type of problem many times, caused by the stretch timing chain. A simple way to check is if there is a rattling noise in the engine on start up then it could very well be the main cause of your problem.
