      To be fair he also took away $310 and castling would've cost him $50 once, and only if he wanted to actually castle, so he actually made the challenge harder.

      Same, although my method of finding it was a bit sleazier. I know that brilliant moves are sacrifices 90 percent of the time and with that knowledge, I was able to find the move.

      I saw that move, considered it strong. But didn't think it was brilliant, just very forcing. In fact, I'm not sure if there were other more natural moves to play there, besides increasing the pressure with that bishop move. It was pretty much my first choice. Then again, I like sacrificing pieces, when the end result is getting two or three moves closer to mate.

    Chess but it's Chinese chess. Bishop moves 2 squares diagonally, queen moves 1 square diagonally, king is not allowed to move diagonally, pawns, Juans and rooks are normal. Good luck finding a cannon now.

      Pawns cannot capture diagonally, king has only 3x3 space to move, knight cannot jump over the second square of the L shape

    I immediately saw the brilliant move Bf4 right after you said there was a brilliant move and I found it before you actually showed it. But of course there is no way on Earth that I would've known about it during the game unless maybe playing in a classical or daily chess. Awesome video btw! :D

    we can make a sub genre out of this. I'll call it "logistic chess" if there is no similar genre yet. Basically each players start with limited amount of money and they need to pay each soldiers they are moving, the higher the rank the more expensive it cost except king is always free to move. The only way to gain money is by killing another player troop but the money you get for killing them is only the same amount as the killed troop cost to move. There will be an additional winning condition which is your enemy will lose if their money reach 0.

    Raise the Budget to like 2500, and it counts for your opponent as well. You can give your opponent money in an attempt of not having the video end
    Edit: also if any piece is captured, the person who captured it receives however much money it costs to move that piece

      @@mihirkarwani8891 well, yeah, if you know it’s a brilliant move, then just start looking for crazy sacrifices…. After all it seems like if you don’t sacrifice something, stockfish doesn’t classify the move as brilliant … so It wasn’t hard to find it knowing that there was a brilliant move there.
      That being said, no way in hell I’d find that during a match
