I'm having the exact same issue, getting the issue diagnosed now. I may just order the part and try it out. Thank you for making this content. - These Jeeps are so rare, mine has just over 100K
From South Africa Thank you for the making and sharing of the video.Myb2009 Jeep Cherokee KK diagnostic reads turbo under boost...The previous owner made the booster with metal pipes and the joins is lopsided .not leaking but to same size pies used
You're great man..i have some problem with my darlin kj 2.8 autom. 2006...underboost, black smoke in the 1 Gear....close EGR, maf changed, filter changen..nothing..i Will try with this solenoid
Thank you. I’m actually not sure. I didn’t get to that one in the process of elimination. I’m sure it needs to be replaced at times just like the runner valve. Thanks for watching the video!
Thank you sooooooooooooo much for this video! I was tearing my hair out trying to fix the P0299 on my 05 CRD Any chance you're planning to do a video to fix the speed sensor next?
@@2StallGarage the one makes the odometer stop working :p Apparently there's more than 1 speed sensor, but I'm getting conflicting information on Google about which one is usually the culprit and their locations
These have 3 sensors. 1 in each of the front wheel bearings & 1 on the rear differential. The 1 in the rear is the speed sensor that controls your odometer. We replaced this sensor in this video: "Jeep Liberty ABS Light Is On RESOLVED!"
Forgive me, the speed sensor on the rear differential controls your speedometer. Both of the front wheel hub assemblies will have a built-in sensor that can be replaced, however, it is recommended to simply buy them as a bundle so you get the hub assembly with the wheel bearing and a new speed sensor and wire harness. I hope this makes sense.
@@2StallGarage apparently I missed that video. I do occasionally get an ABS light that will come and go, so I'm definitely going investigate that sensor. I've only owned the rig for about a week, so I haven't noticed if the odometer stops when the ABS light is on, but the speedo works normally. Hopefully I don't have to replace the wheel hubs O_o Just got back from having Autozone use their expensive OBD reader since my ELM327 clone can't read the ABS codes and it's throwing 'wheel speed sensor circuit failure' and 'wheel speed input signal missing' on both LR and RR. Haven't looked into it yet, but that sounds like the differential sensor to me Thanks again!
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Leaking oil from somewhere on the driver's side bottom and no turbo boost. Engine light is on. Driving me crazy because I still have plenty oil on the dipstick. It's perfectly full. Maybe it's some other fluid leaking. I wish I was close to you. 05' with 218,500 miles.
I have the opposite condition on the same engine. I have an overboost. This turbo has the variable vane. I tested the actuator. It moves with a vacuum pump. However, it has very little movement. I am not sure how much it suppose to move. ? Overboost cause the engine to go into the limp mode. It then needs to be restarted to clear it. Any ideas???
Yes, even though it’s the opposite condition, the issue could still arise from a defective main runner solenoid or secondary runner valve, However; I’ve seen CRDs with the over boost issue, but both valves referenced above were good. Wish I had more info for you.
Yes, go onto Facebook and join the “Jeep Liberty CRD” facebook group. It’s very likely someone will have an extra they would sell or point you in the direction of an aftermarket solution. The group is a good group of people who help to keep these CRDs on the road.
Man, you have had more problems with this thing than it seems to be worth for the fuel economy increase. Are the diesels more prone to problems than gasoline versions?
I’m not sure about the 3.7L gas models. The CRDs are said to be reliable as long as you keep up on the maintenance but even with that, they have issues. We also have a silver 2006 CRD that has a blown head gasket. 🤷🏻♂️
RUclips won’t allow me to post a link. You have to get creative these days to find these valves. If you search “OEM Runner Valve Solenoid 4606226AC For 1999-2007 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Liberty” on eBay, you’ll find one. Just try to find OEM. I doubt anything aftermarket will work for these CRDs. I have an extra sitting in hand for if/when I need it. Have a great night.

Is this same one for 2007 3.0 ?
No, different motor, although there may be some similarities.
Sweet! Nice job sticking with it and following it through to the end. I'm sure it'll help someone.

Sounds good. Hope that’s it. 👍
Great job! BTW, what is that small filter sitting next to the valve you replaced and does it ever need changing?

Wouldn't you do the cheapest easiest things first before intercoolers etc.

why is the egr sitting by the master cylinder? im wanting to do this to mine as well but dont want to deal with the egr code by just removing it.
Lol. To avoid the engine light. 🤜🤛

did y noticed any improvements in driving or y just wanted to shutdown check engine light
It was in limp mode before replacing the part. 👍
@@2StallGarage i have same code but my jeep seems only has half of power...
Yep, possibly same issue.
@2StallGarage from 100 to 120km/h takes forever, y think just to star with solenoid replacement
There are 2 more videos in about this. I made a playlist. Maybe check them out and then start the process of elimination.
