hi anderson family when i see your video it like a reward i love watching wish i could be there in person helping you all out you do mean a lot i do pray for you all i hope mrs anderson is doing well
We got rain last night and that was good, the snow melted when the ground was froze so it is dry. We have been pumping water off one 1/4 of land and tried to pull ditches yesterday and the ground is still frozen under the water.
I'm not sure on the glasses , I just know that when my bill came at the end of the month that they cost $50. lolI feed my cows all they can eat of good quality feed when it is cold, if you let them get skinny it is hard to get them in shape to breed.
very good looking cattle you have, every time i watch one of you're vids i can't believe how good they look each time. that one bull you gave the shot too you had him walk forward right into the gates & had him walk backwards, can he rollover & sit also? hahaha
I would agree with your comments about cattle condition with regards to pure bred cattle and commercial breeding cattle. Generally fat cows when they have calves at foot is taken as some evidence that she isn't milking well and just puts any food on her back. Fat young bulls (and rams) seem to just melt like butter in the sun if you bring them home and expect them to work well - they are just too juvenile to cope with much in the way of useful work!
True or false: Twin calves, male and a female. The female will be sterile. Heard that back in highschool biology class and never thought of it until you mentioned twins here.
A female twin that was carried with a male has a 90% chance that will be a freemartin or sterile. Sometimes you can see that the hfr isn't built right on the outside and urinates like a sprinkler and sometimes everything looks normal inside and outside but she fails to breed.
I got a red balancer this past year and I like how yours are looking may be just old wise tale but I always heard the reds grow off faster so I have both black and red can't go wrong that way I guess
AndersonCattleCo. Baldies are getting really big down here but I am having trouble talking myself into getting a Hereford i would like to try getting a few cows ai 'd and just keep the bulls I got but love your cows if you ever come to Tennessee bring me a load of heifers
lol come to southern Alberta we are the prairies we don't have trees. We don't have enough moisture to grow trees and if you can water them and get them to grow they winter kill. My cattle are fine and if you don't like it don't watch.
I hate waiting for the surgery, saw the plastic surgeon and now I have to drive to Calgary to get the cancer cut out then Lethbridge the next day to fix the hole in my nose. So both places have to find a time that works for both of them, and they still haven't called with a date.
Can tell by the calmness of your voice how you treat your animals. Nice bunch of cattle you have. And love to see the videos.
Farm trucks get cleaned out when you drop the check from the sale barn down the side of the seat next to the console

What model of edge sunglasses are you wearing? Your cattle look good after a rough winter.

yes and the best part is he will heat detect ,breed, and check the cows for repeaters. lol Pretty easy going bull.
studmuffin is an amazing name for a bull haha
the name fits him. lol
Do you mind me asking what state do yall live in?
Alberta Canada, I'm in the South
What do you mean when the bull “kinks” the tail.
Just what I was thinking
When the bull penetrates the cow or heifer they will have a bent tail for a while after they were jumped.
Do the dad bulls know who are their babies?
I don't think so, in horses they say that a stud can tell if the colt is his but bulls don't seem to know or care.

yup you need to push performance but try not to finish them for slaughter.

blacks and reds are both good. I like to use both

I'll keep that in mind if I ever come to Tennessee . lol
Washed and waxed😂😂. Makes life a lot easier when it’s not muddy. Nice looking bulls
Ok I'll find my pressure washer. lol
Nice herd.
Farmer here too
I don't see any effort to give the cattle shade trees. Seems like it would help the cattle.

Good looking bulls👍
thank you
Had the same thing done. They cut it off my nose and neck. Dang sun anyhow 😉

AndersonCattleCo. That’s to bad, I hope it gets taken care of for you. Hope all is well for you and your family.
