- The ULTIMATE Reaper Guide for EVERY HERO
It's finally here. I promised this video for the 10k special and i'm kinda a little late... BUT it's here now! I've just been really busy with work and college but I hope this Reaper guide helps for fighting every hero. This took a really long time to make but it was worth it in the end. Overwatch 2 Reaper is definitely not as strong as Overwatch 1 Reaper but he's still really good especially for 5vs5. The recent support nerfs help with this.
Overwatch 2 Top 500 wasn't that hard to hit but I have been playing since Overwatch 1. I did start on xbox and switched to PC but altogether I have around 1900 hours and 800 of them have been on Reaper.
Reaper is the reason why I got out of gold/plat hell as you can kinda 1vs5 with him due to his lifesteal. It does get harder obviously the higher you go up but if I can get top 500 anybody can because I'm not the greatest player ever. I legit play like a plat but what I do differently is I try to play with my tank most of the time or I do the funny and get a 5 man or die instantly.
I hope you guys enjoyed the reaper guide/reaper tips I gave out for every hero. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions :)

Just wanted to say thanks for all the support recently on RUclips such as the subs and the likes on the videos and also the follows on Twitch. It really does mean a lot. Now that the reaper guide is done I'll be focusing on getting videos done for members but also i'm going to start doing unranked to gm's again. But once again thanks for everything :)
I’m naming my first child after you
No problem man! I love watching fellow reaper players!
Ngl finding out this channel and then becoming a part of your Twitch community was one of the best things to happen to me in the past 5 years and I mean It. This was awesome and I hope You are doing blessed, taking a congratulating shot of whiskey for You 😂.
Keep It going my man and see You on stream or in the comment section of the next video, keep safe and bless You o7
Pause
@@ChoiceOW I'm in comment section I can't *pause*, unless You want me to play the guide over again XX
I think it’s stupid now Reaper can’t wraith out of some ults. They’re basically removing one of the best things about the ability. It’s a get out of ult card, not to mention it’s what wraith is for. To get out of tough situations
I see why but people fail to see that, yeah You were not hit that hard by the ultimate but with Flux and Grav You are as good as dead anyways as You are stuck in place without Wraith, the same goes for Junk trap, that's why I think Tracer and Sombra not being able to do that is b'cuz their abilities change their position on the map, Reaper does not
@@G128_cz I'll give them not wanting an ability to escape an ult but not escaping junkrat trap is just stupid.
@@amerhst1201 not even mentioning Reaper couldn't have escaped the ult anyway, They should have just make Moira stay in place like Reaper does, and if They can't aim that's their bad ngl
reaper isnt allowed to get out of grav but lifeweaver can pull anyone out of any ult anytime anywhere
@@daigonmocs0785 exactly and again Reaper wasn't even able to get out, He was stuck there without a cooldown now, lower ranks just crying b'cuz a character doesn't die after They use a Q on them
As a Reaper main this video taught me the TP has more then one use I had no idea it did more then help flank
17:28 Since it’s difficult for Reaper to deal with Echo/Pharah, your best bet is targeting other enemies, for multiple reasons.
1. It makes it a lot easier for your team to handle the Echo/Pharah.
2. Often, Echo/Pharah has a Mercy pocket, so the enemies either have half as much support, or it forces Mercy to leave her Echo/Pharah and help other enemies.
This video is really, really good.
You can tell that this isn't a hero guide by some generic GM player, but a specific and tailored video by a specialist. The tips were all really good, and I really appreciate you explaining the thinking behind them (such as why to dodge the jq axe).
After watching this I immediately shot out of masters and straight to rank 1. Thank you Choice for this excellent guide
I just started playing dps, and I chose reaper as my main and started grinding competitive with him and pushed to plat and basically got stuck, these tips are amazing, and I hope they help me push higher. PS: CHOICE IS THE BEST REAPER IN THE WORLD!!!
Not only the best reaper guide, but the best hero guide in general.
Dude going through all your vods to find corresponding situations for each instance is insane work. Hats off to you
I appreciate all the work you put into this. Great tips 👍
The mad lad finally did it. Good stuff!
What a great video, thank you very much for being super detailed and informative! Not a reaper main but always good to watch a great player and learn some new things (and maybe play more Reaper with this knowledge). ❤
glad this is finally out mate! the editing and everything turned out really good, definitely worth the wait
I really enjoyed that most of the examples were in real games, in real scenarios. I'm starting to pick up Reaper in my rank (low gold), and watching you dominate in T500 is very motivating. Thank you for this excellent video, Choice
Experience with 1 main character is key to getting higher in the ranks
it's also good to note that sticking with your tank and dpsing to win tank fights is a really really easy and effective way to play reaper.
Thank you so much for the tips! They are great!
I’m so greatful for your consistentcy choice. We really appreciate you ❤👍
really quality video, Choice! thank you for sharing!
Thanks mate, your guide helped me a lot😁 Reaper main forever!!!!
MUCH LOVE BESTIEEE BANGER OF A GUIDE 💗💗
Incredible work! Keep it up #1 Reebaaaaa☺
now i realize why it took so long! great work choice this is some real quality stuff
The Reaper guide I've been waiting for is finally here 😁 The amount of work you've put into it is amazing, excellent job! ❤ It was fun to see all the clips that made into the video, saw them all in the original ones 😇
Keep up the good work and reap on!
Your no1 fan, love ya Reeba 😘
Ngl, when I first encountered one of your vids, I thought you were joking/throwing. I was at a mental state where I wanted to be a better Reaper player and watching you having fun in matches bugged me. Then I realised, you just enjoy to play and not sweating over it. That's when I started to appreciate your content and having fun alongside with you 😊
Haha yeah when it comes to overwatch I don’t really take it that seriously. I won’t purposely throw games but I don’t really sweat the game anymore. I just try to have fun with it
Good video. Some great points I strongly agree with. Good stuff brotha man.
The reaper goat of NA
Thank you long time reaper player here coming back to the game. This was very comprehensive.
thanks for the vid, I am trying to be a better reaper, just got into master and these are really helpful
Thanks for the video man!!!
Thanks most of the tips help a lot ❤
Thanks for this! ❤
Thanks, I needed help as a reaper main.
Massive W. Thanks for the content choice!
Been waiting fir this tank you❤❤
Hell yeah, had been legitimately waiting for a guide like this and it has arrived
Would you consider doing a general gameplay tips video as well? Like positioning/goals for the hero
not rn but 1 day maybe haha
I think his unranked to GM on reaper covers that - quite long but good nonetheless :)
Mercy/Brig, Symmetra and DVA main here, wanted to try a new dps and this was pretty helpful. Recently been doing some of these techs and getting some team kills, thanks! P.S Mercy’s ga (her flex movement ability) has a longer cooldown when she jumps and goes further or super jumps, take advantage of this! ✨
ahhhh ty for that :)
Good stuff really helpful guide
Awesome guide! I’d like to add that if you Blossom a genji immediately after he pops blade he’ll be animation locked and killable, provided he’s not Nano’d
FINALLY!! My reaper main heart is happy 🥹
This is amazing dude. Plz keep up the great work. I’m excited for the next guide
I blink and suddenly you grew so much. Great job and congrats Choice. Keep cooking for us Reaper players
This is actually a life saver.
As a reaper main this helped me understand a few things about his kit better
legendary i remember some of the tips you mentioned in your videos are present here as well
Being a reaper lover and player, this video is pretty useful!!!
Thanks bro I’ve been enjoying your content Allow
Thank you reeba guy ur inspirational
You are the hero that this city needs!!!!
doing god's work with this guide🙏
fantastic guide! well explained and edited.
only small touch for next time would be to start your explanation during those little hero intros so it's not just quiet for a few seconds.
NO WAY IS FRY EM UP!
thank you ❤❤
The best Reaper did it again
Best *Reeba; You meant, right?
I'm mostly playing support and tank but whenever i want to play some dps, i always end up picking daddy Reaper. I feel useful for the team and actually making eliminations. My hitscan aim isn't good enough so i'm leaving that to the 2nd dps player lol. Your video is full of great tips, thank you!!
Best reaper guy, inspiring me and everyone to be better reaper guys too goated
YESSS just what i need
This I’m video is perfect, is exactly what I needed thx
Maybe you're not the best reaper player but you are my favorites reaper player that makes me dare to play reaper. Thanks for the guides and keep making the reaper gameplay videos please ✌
Thanks!
ty :) you're too kind
now this is the good stuff!
Choice you are my favorite content creator out there. You're the best dude and it's a shame less people recognize it when I call things the same way you call them lol. I can't stop calling hog kraken and it confuses my duos
Haha thanks
HUGE reaper guide. though i’d like to ask what’s the general tip for aiming as him. is it better to shoot at characters’ chests and only aim at their heads in a very close distance??
Of course they'd release a new character the day after you upload a guide on how to fight every character. Well done regardless. Looking forward to Reaper vs Mauga and future vids!
OW1 reeba carried me out of ello hell to high Diamonds, and I stopped playing OW after. You inspired me to play reeba again lol, this speaking as Hanzo and Ana main.
YESSSS, CONVERT BACK TO REEBA
Another thing for JQ’s shout which goes for any character with over health like Lucio, is that you don’t heal from doing over health damage
Unviersal tip:
*No one left behind.*
5:11 I may or may not be using the teleport ability and find myself still inside the terra surge ult sometimes. 💀
oh trust that happens to me sometimes too
Happens, everybody is a idiot sometimes
Also is this THE THX from streams?😂
@@G128_cz maybe 😌🌻
For Genji, a lot of the times I like to challenge dragon blade with death blossom as he's pretty vulnerable during its start up animation. Even if he is still able to pull the blade out, he'll be forced to deflect as not enough swings could kill me before he dies and even if he deflects and I die in the process, I'm still able to force 2s max off of his ult and give my team time to get away. Of course, the obvious things to avoid is nano blade and the aggressive pushes that do occasionally follow after, and other times I won't challenge blade if we have other ults that could save the team. However, if those instances aren't met, then I'll gladly solo blossom the ninja.
KarQ definitely need you for the updated reaper one tip, his old one with spirit is so old, doesn't even have half the heroes 😂😂
This video about to be guuuuuuuud
Ill send this video to my friend who always solo ults the air 😭😭💀💀
they're just like me. Must be a gm reaper at least
ITS HERE
This guide really helped me quite a lot! But with the recent changes to tanks and the new heroes, is it possible that we get another guide for the reaper after the change?…
0:23 "now im not saying im the best reaper player there is" 🧢
the guide was incredibly useful. thanks!
amazing video
Anyone watching this now: Reaper is a GREAT pick against Venture - Bait out her shove and kill her; wraith/tp out of her ult, and if she jumps out of the ground, she's so killable.
The BEST REEBA GUY!
i love you for thishero
NOICE DIE DIE DIE GUIDE man!!!
I don’t even play reaper but Choice is just too much fun too watch
Look at my boi 😢
MOM, the Reeba guide is out.
This was truly amazing I don't know what else to say but that that I'm happy I'm actually playing Reaper correctly but I have 80-90 ms and a brain of a casual as I am low diamond high plat.
Also lastly, Zen is actually such a easy pick as He cannot orb You for I think 5 seconds It is after the discord is cleansed, so Zen is easy pickings for now.
Have a nice rest of your day or at this instance evening and see You on stream mr. streamer, mr. Reeba, MR. CHOICE 👏👏👏 o7 o7 o7
You know I watch too much Choice when I recognize 90% of these example clips in the videos.
I also seen many of these, then there were the bot clips XD
Next reaper all flank map tutorial please?
We are getting out of top 500 with this one
Hey this is excellent information... but i notice in about 80% of the clips where there's gameplay, these pushes are being done with a healer right behind you and rarely dropping below 80% health. Can we see some gameplay where if you are flanking enemy lines and show us how to manage the 1 v 1s or be effective without a healer with us?
So what I learned from this guide is... if the enemy is breathing in your general direction, they've already countered your ult. Jokes aside, some other tips I can think of for Reaper are:
-Against Zen in a 1v1, you can now cleanse his discord orb with Wraith since he wont be able to place it back onto you for 7 seconds with his lock out.
-Being within 5m of the enemy puts you at a great advantage since that's the zone your most likely to land all of your pellets in while not having to flick wildly from being too close. Playing up against the enemy's hitbox makes it hard for them to hit your head while also making you land more efficient chunks of damage.
-If you TP up to widow, make sure to spam jump and left/right strafe before the animation is finished, as it sometimes messes up there shot and lands it into your chest instead of your head. Probably wont work on more experienced players since they'll just tap you the instant your head is visible, but still worth a try if you have to use it.
Ever since 10k this was announced
Cool video.
ITS OUT!!! ITS OUT BABE WAKE UP CHOICE POSTED REAPER GUIDE!
Hey Jay It's me Gamer128 XD, funny I called my mom and She already posted on FB about It
I genuinely miss the days when Reaper/brawlier gameplay was peak in Overwatch. Reaper feels like the most fitting character designed for the type of game Overwatch SHOULD be. Close range, long duration, attrition fights that took place on the objective like 2cp maps and tested a team's cohesiveness altered by the *potential for a team wipe if you use some clever thinking.
I really don't play Overwatch at all anymore, because over the years Blizzard has managed to make the game totally anti fun, with counters, deployables that stop you from playing the game, or snipers that erase you if they ping you in the toe from a whole map away. All the while, you see the clock ticking and everyone is barely creeping forward, especially when a character like Reaper is trying to close gaps. The old caste of characters were built with limitations in mind that made for interesting interactions with skill based outcomes. Regardless of who you picked, you still lasted a while when in the fight. Nowadays, you got characters that will chain you into stuns with 3 second cool downs. Or use 2, 3 healing abilities that stop anything from taking damage. It's just not fun anymore. Some of the most historically broken characters don't "feel" designed for Overwatch, like they operate at entirely different rules and speeds than anyone else.
This character is a big counter, that character is a big counter, everybody in countering reaper.
Bro your the best reap take it from me❤👊🏽
i luh you dawg
Great video 👍 However, the Sombra Tip is outdated since her rework. She doesn't do increased damage to hacked enemies anymore - they removed that passive. Her virus is only effect you wanna cleanse by wraithing and then you will easily win the 1v1 close up (if she doesn't translocate to escape ofc).
Yeah the second i released it i realised that. Still good to cleanse it with tp though since virus will do more damage. I'm gonna start doing shorts for each new hero too and reworked hero
lets goooo!!!!!!
thanks for the guide, this inspired me to main junkrat
naaaaaaa I thought it would inspire you to play Genji
@@ChoiceOW necros gameplay put me off playing him
Don't make me put You on the Blackwatch mister
peak 🔥
Nice
W choice
When I started ow2 the only knowledge of reaper I had was that his ult can easily kill anything, and I swear the very first time I used death blossom it was a gold orisa, which to be honest I didn't even know what she was, just that my kill button didn't even do half damage
nice
WOOOOOOOOOOO!
I think you forgot to mention that reaper's ult is a sphere and the ult hit box comes from his head
