If you have the time, please check Port Ormos' (Sumeru) daytime ost ruclips.net/video/G4UabWhrlx4/видео.htmlsi=vdYIRbENwLWULlkj In Genshin each area has it's own background music (and usually a daytime+ nighttime version too!). This ost is was a massive fan favorite from the Sumeru region :) Regardless of whether u make a video on this I'd love for you to hear it, its a bop
Hya fellow Wagakki Band enjoyer! There is a good reason to start after Natlan update, there will be many quality of life changes that will make the game better, even us veterans (I'm playing since 1.0) can't wait patiently enough. The boss themes are peak music, you should listen to them. Mondstadt (germanic inspiration) and Liyue have music, BUT there is no mini-concert of two pieces, that became common practice with Inazuma's new region presentation, but there are full hours long concerts in the official Genshin channel where you can listen to the first two regions music, and if something was not played in the concerts there are many videos in the official channel that play the full OSTs, like this playlist ruclips.net/p/PLqWr7dyJNgLKAYaH8YO0QHPSX-G8tO5lF&si=mp83qmXATnf70PW3 where you can listen to the first pieces they made for the game, this is Mondstadt's. There is so much music in the official channel, and all freely available (or at least I think so), you can make a full journey on the road with it.
We were as surprised as you about Natlan getting lyrics. Though someone commented that some cultures have a much more lyrical and vocal tradition to their music and the Natlan Orchestra decided to go along that bend. It does give Natlan a very unique place soundtrack wise.
It should be mentioned that there are chinese, japanese and french lyrics in other pieces in the OST but not in the main themes. Though vocals do seem much more present in the natlan OST overall.
There's actually a difference. In other nations thar depict for example Europe , instrumental music through history was the main source of music experience and related to sacred music. About India and Middle East- instrumental music plays bigger role to their lives. Same for Japanese culture. But for India and Africa main music source is voice actually and rhythms I guess that was partly decision to use lyrics in Natlan, along of course with the lore (Natlan will speak out most secrets to Traveler compared to other bations that stated silent to Traveler about the sibbiling).
@@SamuraiSx19 As an indian i "kind of" agree(not a trained in classical music that's why not having a firm stance lol). While we do have lyrics and have profound lyrics too. But most of the classical music is not about the exact lyrics. The instrumental aside, singers mostly practice hitting notes without lyrics...they just use "sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa" the indian equivalent of "Do re mi..." to hit notes. basically if you see a typical classical indian performance, it is not about the lyrics but rather the voice of the singer playing around with notes. This is the core of indian carnatic. Adding lyrics to it is a more "applied" version of this artform.
Hello! I'm Japanese. The background music for Inazuma uses a part of the Japanese children's song "Sakura Sakura." I'm amazed at Mihoyo's composing skills.
こんにちは! I am watching this video from Japan. I found your channel by chance when I was searching RUclips to listen to Natlan music and learned about it from your reaction video. When I saw that you were happy to hear the lyrics in Swahili when you heard Natlan music, it made me happy as if it were me. Well, today you posted the music I was looking forward to the most, Inazuma. I am very happy to see you admiring the sound of Japanese music and instruments. There is so much more music from GENSIN. (Maybe if you search for GENSIN OST, you will find a lot of them.) I hope you will take the time to listen to them! And if you have time, please play GENSIN. The music played on the field in the game is also very nice!! I know this is very long, but I hope you enjoy it. Last but not least, you spoke Japanese at the beginning of this video. I was surprised at how well you speak Japanese! It is amazing! (I don't speak English, so this text was translated by Google)
I'm Japanese-American; when Inazuma came out I was so excited to see Mihoyo's take on my culture and as diaspora just seeing my culture being respectfully done in general was really emotional for me. The area, music, and story/theme of that region was so beautiful and has some of my most favorite places to just walk around and vibe in
you should check out all genshin boss theme: 1. Dvalin theme 2.Andirus theme 3.Childe boss theme 4.Azhada theme 5.Signora theme 6.Raiden Shogun boss theme 7.Scaramouche theme 8.Warden Apep Theme 9.All devouring narwhal theme 10.Arlecchino boss theme
This is the chronological order of appearance in the game and also the best order of listening to them. It is always interesting to observe if a reactor notices a difference after number 7, or not
Great list of the weekly bosses, though it is missing some of the boss themes that are only found in the archon quests/world quests. I'll link some of them below: - "Dance with the Great Vortex", Osial and Beisht - ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html - "Dreamless Earth", Prior to battle with Marana's Avatar - ruclips.net/video/FjXil_kWhHM/видео.html - "Fatal Confrontation", Marana's Avatar Phase 1- ruclips.net/video/FjXil_kWhHM/видео.html - "Before the Light Fades", Marana's Avatar Phase 2 - ruclips.net/video/FjXil_kWhHM/видео.html - "Dragon and Determination", V4.8 event boss theme with Durin - ruclips.net/video/gVYcpQmmNiM/видео.html List above excludes Normal Bosses, though one of my favorites is "Jolts in the Forest" from Sumeru (I beat the boss before the music gets good): ruclips.net/video/Nahr59G12Ss/видео.html
Yeah, Natlan having a choir is something special. Just like this orchestra is made of all Japanese people. I loved it how not the conductor but the others were vibing while playing. Duel in the Mist video has to be one of my favourite they made.
Something that has surprised and pleased me from the first genshin symphonic concert is that they are not only doing the minimum that would be a sampled ost, nor the next step with real musicians. They went all in with high end orchestras (Shangai, tokyo, london), high end locations and all that in video for everyone to enjoy and react on video. I will always thank them the opportunity to enjoy and learn through music
If u liked the inazuma live symphony, take a look at another genshin soundtrack called "Duel In the Mist". That is one of Inazuma's battle soundtracks that uses only traditional japanese instruments but the song is composed in an EDM/trap style. Kinda similar to Waggaki Band's stuff with the modern and traditional mix. The link here: ruclips.net/video/FYP2dM8RTFM/видео.html Another testament to the amazing composers and soundtrack in this game
There is actually an in-game piece for Fontaine that has lyrics. It's called "La Vaguelette." I'd recommend the "Storyline EP 'La Vaguelette' MV" video that Genshin uploaded. (make sure to view the storyline one with the real live person in the blue and black dress on the thumbnail, not the story teaser video with a 2d young woman on the thumbnail. That 2d one contains story spoilers.)
Genshin has historically reserved vocals for meaningful reasons. I'm not sure if they loosened the reigns or if meaningful reasons are still in full swing, but I suspect it's at least somewhat the latter. From this side of the nation's release and very little to go on, I think it's to emphasize the togetherness/unity of the tribes. It feels to me that the people of Natlan are a very big focus, moreso than other nations have focused on "the people."
I was SO pleasantly surprised when you mentioned wagakki band. I've been such a huge fan of them for years and its rare to find people who know them. but yes anyone seeing this you better check out their songs esp if you enjoy traditional japanese music and/or rock music - also if you're into vocaloids they have loads of vocaloid covers.
These blind reaction videos and the musical appreciation in them are very nice, thank you for the many recent uploads. It's really fun to hear you speak Japanese, you speak it well! Greetings from the Netherlands, It's cool to find a youtuber from Kenya, as I don't usually interact with many people from there.
A fact that blows my mind: all the battle themes have the same leitmotif, which is used in the battle theme of the Mondstadt region. This region is the first one the player visits and when fighting monsters, he hears exactly this melody - "Photon of Fluctuation". And then visiting other regions, we hear this leitmotif again and again in the battle themes. It is also present in many character music themes. Here is a very detailed video on this topic - ruclips.net/video/RjTqbPCIWCY/видео.html
Hello from Japan. Your Natlan music video got me interested in your channel. I play Genshin myself and I like their cultural representation in game. The horizontal string instrument you didn’t know the name of is called koto. And the vertical flute that the lady in kimono was playing is a shakuhachi. Lastly, I was amused to hear your Japanese. You got the pronunciation and intonation right.
Aw bleach mentioned 🎉 Btw another thing i don't know if people recommended before but character demos are amazing and have good music... The ones for 5* characters especially (theres 4* and 5*)
Boss music i recommend listening only if you dont mind slight spoilers because obviously they'll show u some villains you know? But character demos are less spoilery , good music and story teasers 🥂
Yes, Wagakki Band is so epic, my fave of theirs is Senbonzakura... Well, we have a joke that says Hoyoverse is a music company first before creating a game lmao... The reason Natlan has lyrics is during the v5.0 livestream, aside it from being the 5th nation, the developers said that they want to show that Genshin "evolves" or "grow" in all aspects : music, gameplay, rewards, etc so yeah... Anyways, there are two other musically focused pieces that have lyrics : Divine Damsel of Devastation, it was Chinese opera La Vaguelette, it was in French I hope you give those a try as well
I forgot to mention Rage Beneath the Mountains (Azhdaha Boss theme) and Scaramouche Boss theme, those have lyrics as well... But yes, it would be interesting to see his views about Divine Damsel of Devastation as it kinda took many of the players who weren't accustomed to Chinese opera off guard...
For both songs, I think it would be better if he heard it during his playthrough, since those two are story rewards. Would enjoy that reaction more even though I would have to wait for him to reach that part
I'm reliving the experience of playing the game for the first time again as I follow your journey down the Genshin musical rabbit hole! It has only been 4 years but some of these pieces feel very nostalgic somehow.
Natlan having lyric is also something that's surprising for us old genshin players. Maybe a new format or maybe it has to do with Natlan traditions. Other regions actually has more than one musical performance Fontaine has La Vaguelette, this is just one song but it has vocal Sumeru has another musical video, the one with Port Ormos theme Inazuma also has another musical video
It seems you have found the Battle Leitmotif! At least one battle theme of every region uses "Photon of Fluctuation", one of the battle themes in Mondstadt (the first region), although it's also used in other places.
Also Fun fact; Inazuma was the first time a New Nation was actually released roughly a year after Launch. Mondstadt & Liyue were both in the game since Launch.
18:27 You can try checking out some Genshin Impact Concert videos. GENSHIN CONCERT 2021 "Melodies of an Endless Journey" includes some music from Mondstadt.
Mondstadt and Liyue did not have 'Live Symphony' performance. The game was launched during the pandemic. I believe most of the early 2 regions music were recorded during lockdown. I would recommend watching the Liyue recording session ruclips.net/video/pFrKZxStL_U/видео.htmlsi=ltFLD5F5aOHpPe93 and Dragonspine OST feature video ruclips.net/video/mAHW2ioE1g4/видео.htmlsi=iqiwo3HRp9zly-ug
Lantern Rite Concert performed by Shanghai symphony. It has Liyue main theme, battle theme, Azhdaha and the Divine Damsel of devastation Mondstadt theme was performed in 2021 concert by Flanders Symphony Orchestra (Belgium)
Mondstadt and Liyue *DID* have 'Live Symphony' performances. They are included as part of longer concerts. "Mondstadt" was done once while "Liyue" was done at least twice. - "Mondstadt" preformed by the Flanders Symphony Orchestra: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html - "Liyue" by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra x2: ruclips.net/video/8svl0sQXDLI/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/RgcOQo-Ty_I/видео.html
you need to watch all character demo and watch from oldest video,The reason why the PV demo is liked by many people is because the character theme music is very impressive and it is very suitable for new players to understand the game world better.
the moment I enter Inazuma and encounter enemy, it that moment I realize I was in a samurai movie, one area even has 24hrs heavy rain and thunder until we finish the world quest. the zone is perfectly craft... the puzzle is headache for me tho
The way I smiled when you mentioned Wagakki Band ♥ happy to meet a fellow fan! My favorite is Senbonzakura as it's the song that introduced me to them. I'm glad you're enjoying your Genshin [music] journey so far! Looking forward to seeing your gameplay video/s. Indeed, it will be a long journey once you play from the beginning, but it's a really amazing experience. Enjoy!
Tbh i don’t know why they put vocals for natlan and not the previous ones, it might be a new format for nation themes but im not complaining it makes it even better and keeps it fresh, there are other soundtracks with lyrics in other nations though, whether boss themes or osts played in an animated cutscene. Most of the time the lyrics are in latin, but there are themes with other languages related to the region. If i had to guess its probably because natlan is the nation of « war ». Every nation has their own theme, Monstadt is freedom, Liyue the contracts, inazuma is eternity, Sumeru is Wisdom, Fontaine is justice, and Natlan is war, so adding vocals gives off the vibes of the tribes that were originally at war with each other, reuiniting against a common enemy. Kinda like an epic hopeful war chant.
I heard from other people that it is an African tradition to pass down stories through music and songs. That's why they chose to include swahili vocals in Natlan.
If you weren't already going to, you should check out the live performance for Polumnia Omnia. It's the OST for a boss battle later in the game, with Latin lyrics performed by an opera singer. Ingame, the composer actually performed the vocals! :D
I don't know why for sure but id assume natlan has lyrics both for the cultural reason and also because it is the nation of war, and an anthem is fitting for such a place?
It's incredible that they were able to record this during the height of the Covid pandemic while the composer / music director was stuck in China and they insisted to collaborate with the Tokyo musicians for the Inazuma region. It was a real effort in cross-country collaboration
People are suggesting you to start after the Natlan update because there will be many quality of life updates, including slightly higher chances to get 5 stars characters (those are the rare ones.) Loving your reactions and hope you'll have fun playing Genshin. It can be very overwhelming at the start, so play it on your pace :)
@@guujigaming Agreed. Ayaka's motif is taken from a song yu peng chen made before genshin. You should take a listen if you haven't. Inazuma soundtrack is beyond peak.
Genshin is also getting an anime btw, it was announced 2 years ago during the anniversary so now we are waiting for information about the official release. There is a short teaser that was released back then as well that you could watch since it has no spoilers, the studio in charge of the project is Ufotable, the same studio that animated Demon Slayer. The boss themes would be a good place to continue, the character demos as well since they have more music and could give you a bit of a feel on what genshin is, but there are currently a lot about 50 videos or so
I found out about this channel from your Nathan's reaction and since then I loved your videos. Definitely check up the boss themes also other OSTs in the game (Port Ormos OST is one of my favs for example). Don't be intimidated by the game's complexity, you can take your time and understand it as you go. The game gives you a lot of versatility on how exactly do you want to play it, do just focus on enjoying your time and immersing yourself in the world, you will find your playstyle in time.
i think natlan use lyrics because its the newest live symphony Performance, you react from the newest to oldest one.. i think you can see the growth of Genshin Impact music..Nice Reaction Video btw
Love how you're always spot-on on what the music inspires you, good ear sir! It made me smile when you depicted a mission impossible-like scene xD Unfortunately Monstadt doesn't have a symphony performance, but you can surely check the other tracks and videos! Hoyo music never miss
Mondstadt did have a symphony performance with the "Mondstadt" theme is only found in the "Melodies of an Endless Journey" 2021 Genshin Concert (ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html). I suggest the following tracks: 2. "Mondstadt" - Region Theme: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html&t=196s 11. "Photon of Fluctuation" - Battle Theme: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html&t=1354s 35. "Caelestinum Finale Termini" - Major Boss Theme: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html&t=4588s
9:55 Two reasons I could think of. Firstly was that the head of their musics team (Yupeng Chen) left before Natlan...it's still mostly the same team, but there's been some subtle direction changes since Fontaine. Second was that, in-game the song at the beginning Natlan (the music) was a very crucial part of the story (I won't spoil too much but in one of the cutscenes they literally sing it, other regions don't have a super important song like this.
I hope you take time to read this comment. I have watched your videos and I really like your raw reaction with every piece that were played. The regions in Genshin are based on the regions of our world as well, it includes the names and even the instruments used for the pieces. The composer focused on what the regions are known for and in my opinion they had vocals for Natlan because of the chants your culture has. The songs you hear are patterned. The first song is the theme song of the region. The second is one of the region's battle songs. If you play Genshin, you will hear these songs being played, especially the battle songs. Genshin has seven regions: Mondstadt (German), Liyue, (China), Inazuma (Japan), Sumeru (India and the Arab World), Fontaine (France and Italy), Natlan (Africa and Indigenous America), Shneznaya (Russia and probably the Slavic World). Shneznaya will be released next year. I hope you will react to another Inazuma Battle Song called Duel in the Mist. You will really say that this one is legendary. And I also hope you will react to the Liyue piece as well: Rapid as Wildfires and Qingce Theme.
Since you also enjoy anime and Japanese media, might be interested to learn there is an official Japanese dub for the game. They use professional voice actors, a good amount of who are very well known for anime roles. It's very cool. Also there's currently 4 official dubs of the game. Those being Manderin, English, Japanese and Korean. There are additional languages available for the subtitles. You can change the language in the game's settings
idk if someone answered already (probably) But in the game, they released 2 regions the first year that the game came out, and when it did really well, they started doing concerts, I believe! Every year since, a new region comes out as expansion and they do a concert to hype the coming release of that region. They have been putting more and more money into these concerts each year, so it doesn't surprise me Natlan had actual singers, since the game's been so successful
I love Wagakki Band's Senbonzakura. Natlan's songs are the first to have so many with lyrics. Before Natlan, songs with lyrics in Genshin were rare. I feel you might like Duel in the Mists (ruclips.net/video/FYP2dM8RTFM/видео.html), an Inazuma song that they also released a music video/performance video for! Mondstadt does not have a live symphony performance, because it was the first region released and they only started the symphony performances later! But they have released many live performances and special performance videos since. Most of the more elaborate ones are from Fontaine and Sumeru because those regions released later and they've only done more with time. Genshin also has 4 concert videos on their RUclips channel, all more than 1 hour long. I'm also going to recommend the Sumeru OST "Forest of Jnana and Vidya" Preview MV (ruclips.net/video/NfbT1Rgos4I/видео.html) which has two songs for Sumeru, and the first one they play here is one of the most popular and beloved songs from Sumeru.
Usually the BGMs of Boss fights have lyrics and the national theme songs are used as the BGM of the main cities. But Natlan has no main city, so I guess they are using Natlan's national theme song for the final Boss fight maybe?
*my suggestion is to play from the start! Not skipping everything cause Natlan, because you'll miss all the lore , atmosphere and coonnection. About lyrics in Natlan's symphony only - yes there is the reason, actually plenty ones. BUT, I dont wanna spoil for you if you want to play the game 😅. I'll try to describe in short: 1) player as Traveler seeks answers from the Teyvat world, for that he/she traverses the lands and visits regions. Up till now while progressing the lore, Natlan would be actually first region to "speak out" to Traveler. 2) Being inspired by various cultures for the game's regions, looking at the overall historical progress of music, vocals had most impact on life and in life at African, South American ground. SoI guess that's another little touch to autenticity. 3) Natlan is the last nation before reaching the finals which will be havoc in Cryo nation, so I supposevoicibg out Natlan brought the preparation before huge storm. Like we will get the last glimpse of our tries to get answersbut also SAVE Teyvat world. Hoyoverse (company who makes this game, and other 3 games: HI3, HSR, ZZ - which are connected between themselves as allare in 1 universe) it strictly reserves vocals for special meanings and occasions oflore revelation. P.s. Wagakki Band is great! Yeah😂❤ found another WB listener yas!!!
Hi, regarding when to start playing Genshin Impact, first of all, the Natlan region will be updated on the 28th, but that doesn’t mean you can go directly to Natlan as soon as you log in. You need to reach level 28 in the game and complete the main story quests of the first two nations, Mondstadt and Liyue, then you can go to the Natlan. So, if you really want to play the Natlan content within a few days of its update, I would recommend start to play soon. However, there’s no rush, and no one will push you to play quickly. You can play at your own pace, as Genshin Impact fans will hope every new player enjoy their journey.
Then about the game plot, yes, Genshin Impact has quite a lot of plots, but many plots are divided into chapters, so each chapter will not be that long. You can upload according to the plot of each chapter, which may be better.
Wagakki Band is also one of my favourites! It's nice to know that you are also a fan of them. Music can really get people together from all over the world. (I'm from Hungary, Europe) ❤
Always the first music is the main cyty music, and the second is battle music, each region has three battle music, and each region has different music, you can play or try to listening the ost❤
Thank you for the band suggestion! I grew up on V-Kei music and Wagakki is great! Many people have mentioned that we were all surprised by Natlan having vocals as it's mostly been saved for boss music (which you should definitely listen to). I think vocals in Natlan is to highlight culture, but it's also a great way to see the growth in the game's music from what was essentially a remix of Greensleeves in Monstadt (the first nation) to now!
RUclips recommended me one of your reaction videos and now I'm blazing through the rest. I've been loving your insights and opinions on the different tracks and I REALLY hope that you also check out the fan concert (2022) (""Echoes of Summer" on YT) and the GENSHIN CONCERT 2022 "Melodies of an Endless Journey." Both are absolutely beautiful musical experiences!
The main answer to your question is - budget. Initially game had less budget and as Genshin develops, attracts more attention and customers, it allows them to produce more epic content. There also were different composers in the past. But in the end, Genshin is a game, and lyrics during a combat, for example, might not be suitable. And it is a deep story game where characters provide certain lyrics during cut-scenes on the top of the symphony. While previous nations did not have lyrics in the main symphonies, they did 2 for Fonatine in French for side/story quests: 1. ruclips.net/video/jHjUHKdoaqI/видео.html (this is a solo masterpiece) 2. ruclips.net/video/EN79SfbcvIE/видео.html (French part only at the end) Due to the main story in Sumeru, lyrics may be inappropriate. In addition to the symphony that you saw, here are two popular compositions: ruclips.net/video/zQBrgGjwCPM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/NfbT1Rgos4I/видео.html Inazuma in one quest had this performance, not lyrics, but kids do make different sounds that sound like words sometimes ruclips.net/video/O_Udh58C2dM/видео.html Liyue had Chinese opera with lyrics in one quest: ruclips.net/video/EiAhMr6IJTQ/видео.html Finally, for Mondstadt and the main Genshin theme, there were multiple versions tested, including with lyrics, but they went on with version without: ruclips.net/video/Ou4qEvatUHA/видео.html And English voice actor for one of the main characters from Mondstadt herself composed quick tunes. Only English sings it, while other language VAs just read it: ruclips.net/video/a-Nmyh8_2sQ/видео.html
I'll be listening to Wagakki Band right after your Concert Reactions! They look pretty goth & use trad instruments too so it's right up my alley! Genshin gives all its playable characters their own musical themes: the character "Hu Tao" has one that uses traditional chinese instruments to "perky goth " effect! For more vocals from Genshin, I'd recommend the "Divine Damsel of Devastation"! It's HoYo Mix's take on Beijing Opera! Genshin doesn't have too many vocal tracks in its soundtracks yet but their sister game "Honkai Impact Third" does! The most iconic songs from Hi3 would be "Befall" and "Rubia". Both are hauntingly epic, in VERY different ways. Hi3 has had live concerts every year so be sure to check them out on their YT channel! ^_^
The liyue symphony is much longer than the others since it launched with the game so they never did a smaller concert for its release like other regions, here's a link to it enjoy. ruclips.net/video/8svl0sQXDLI/видео.html Also Mondstadt does have a live performance but only in a full concert, here's some snippets. ruclips.net/video/IKGQGzrGrxk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/qlWvnKnEPHM/видео.html
Every character in the game ( aside from the standard characters) has their own theme you can find thm their character demos the demos themsevls are visual specticles and the more recent they are the better the visuals are
Now about playing the game before or after Natlan, I would suggest you to start playing now so you can advance in the main story and have some advantage when heading to Natlan. Mondstadt and Liyue's quests are way shorter than the rest of regions.
Once you start the game, I think the most important things is to know that there is a linear storyline that the main character goes through and an overarching story to tie everything together, along with a crap ton of lore involved. That being said, each region does have their own issue that the main character is involved in, but there will be other things sprinkled inside that the game would expect you to know, as if you played linearly. I personally would suggest going at it linearly and stick with doing ONLY the Archon quests (main story quests) if you wanna go through it quicker. But even if you do only do the Archon quests, it would most likely still take about 60~hrs to go through before you reach Natlan which may be discouraging if you only wanna see Natlan. So if you do end up deciding that the other regions don't really interest you, then might as well jump straight to Natlan at that point haha Just know that if you do, there will most likely be lots of lore and character names that may be lost on you since you won't know the references or implications of what they are saying. It'll be the equivalent to jump directly from Season 1 to Season 5 of an anime. But your personal preference will be the most important thing. Just putting all the info out there so that you can decide for yourself!
Whoever told you that you needed to wait to play until Natlan drops is wrong!!! You could've started before that and make some progress in the story at least a bit!!!
I know you said 1 hour but I would love to watch a full playthrough of the game, maybe split up into 30 minute episodes or something, at least just of the story parts, not all of the exploration and stuff. Idk if it would be possible, maybe on a different channel or something but its something I would definitely sit through and watch you play the whole game haha. And yes I do recommend the boss themes, specifically Rage Beneath the Mountains
On the gameplay aspect, i have been playing for 4 years so maybe more than 1000 days , i cant even count hours. Regarding reacts, inazuma Duel in the midst is peak, then do all boss themes . Then if u want there are regional vocal songs, a chinese opera and a french music video
If your still interested in genshin music I highly recommend reacting to genshin boss themes such as : Arlecchino boss theme Raiden shogun boss theme Scaramouche boss theme Signora boss theme Azdaha boss theme Warden of oasis boss theme And childe boss theme
As a long time player I guess I never found it odd that most of the main themes don't have lyrics, just because so many other Genshin themes have lyrics. Many boss battles have lyrics. One of my favorite boss themes with Lyrics is Scaramouche's battle theme. Part of the Azdaha battle theme also has lyrics, as well as the Signora theme. Enkanomiya (one of the sub regions) doesn't have lyrics, but the latter part of its battle theme does have light vocalizations. Some of the music in different story quests also has lyrics. For example, "The Divine Damsel of Devastation" (performed by a real Chinese opera singer in Chinese) during one of the games quests, has lyrics (and is one of my favorite musical performances in Genshin). "La Vaguelette" (from another quest) is another beautiful piece, performed in french. So even if there are many musical pieces in game without lyrics, don't worry, you will find many wonderful pieces with lyrics in different languages.
The vocals are a new thing. First for the antagonists as a choral, than in fountaine something, and in natlan almost everywhere. Might indicate that we are in the final half of the main history of the game. If you are liking the OST, try the main battle themes from the Genshin Impact's Fatui boss battle
The live performances we're usually just an afterthought of Mihoyo. Mondstadt doesn't have one and Liyues theme felt more like a "behind the scenes". Mihoyo's smart enough to realize that their music is hailed and praised so the production value has gone up each and every time. It's understandable because by Liyue (the 2nd region) the game is still finding its direction.
If you want some vocals in genshin there are not that many songs, I think in Natlan they are using vocals more because they want to give an unity in the tribe sensation or we face things together vibe. That said if you want vocals you have: Signora Scaramouche and Arlecchino themes in latin. La vaguelette, in French. The damsel of devastation chinese opera. You could also check samudratha from the same company but different game or wildfire or even Rubia from honkai 3rd, again, same company, different game. They do big concerts each year, you can check most of them there but they are looong, I would only react to them as a whole if you are really into it or you play and get into the game enough to feel a conection to the music, listening to them with no context is not the same.
yes you should react to genshin boss themes!! especially Raiden Shoguns boss theme, Termination of Desires!! You could even react to her trailer featuring that song, its absolute fire 🔥 Hope u enjoy playing the game! its so great
Well, there wasn't really a symphony performance published before the release of Monstadt simply because the game itself was coming out and it was a fairly major gamble without the most positive reception pre-release. (I was at the time interested enough to try it just to see what standard gacha game balance would look like in an open-world setting, but I didn't have the drive space or an external drive to install it to until over a year later.) They needed their success to reach this point. You can manage to find live performances of songs out of the first two nations' soundtrack in the annual Genshin Impact concerts (see "Melodies of an Endless Journey") and some of those are symphony. (There are also some alternate takes on later nations' music.)
I feel that u can actually start playing the game now so u wont have to rush. U can only start natlan story quest if u finished the first 2 regions of the game
0:26 Correction for this comment by @Darthrevan1225 Sumeru is inspired from Middle East such as Arab. To put it simple, the 3 Major cultures inspired in Sumeru is India, Egypt and Arab.
You should absolutely react to the boss themes! They are all really good especially polumnia omnia. Personally i like the ingame version more than the live performance but both is good
Natlan has lyrics because the nation9s structure is formed by many tribes that mostly are warriors but not barbarian for the sake to blood. They are mostly proud warriors of peace, they have deep love for their nation and culture, they give a lot of importance to individual progress and fight for their own individual proud as also for their tribes and nation. Each tribe has its own role in the nation and they all together fight a common enemy (I want tell because already quite much spoilers). All tribes love corporal expression of art such as painting, dancing, singing and create figures. They all have too much respect to their nation's nature, flora and wild living creatures that are consideed as companions! So, in general they are proud cultural tribes of warriors! So you can pretty much relate all of this with our ancient civilizations and their life style. Side Nore: I wrote the same in my comment on another video of yours. Each of these nation live symphony (sample) that you have watched. First score is the nation's theme. The second score is one of the battle themes,
Regarding the doubt of why the other songs do not have vocals except Natlan, it is because they are looking for their own identity, that region being inspired by America and Africa, a large part of the musical culture when taken to an orchestra is very similar to the European one, that is why, the same thing happened with Inazuma in which the mini documentary that is on the channel explains that they suffered so that the music would not become westernized, however the Japanese say that it does not sound very Japanese but it does come close to the stage.
Ayyyy Wagakki Band is so good! You have great taste 👌👌 If you want a suggestion for another cool rock/metal group that incorporates traditional instruments: check out Bloodywood from India :)

If you have the time, please check Port Ormos' (Sumeru) daytime ost ruclips.net/video/G4UabWhrlx4/видео.htmlsi=vdYIRbENwLWULlkj
In Genshin each area has it's own background music (and usually a daytime+ nighttime version too!). This ost is was a massive fan favorite from the Sumeru region :)
Regardless of whether u make a video on this I'd love for you to hear it, its a bop
Hya fellow Wagakki Band enjoyer! There is a good reason to start after Natlan update, there will be many quality of life changes that will make the game better, even us veterans (I'm playing since 1.0) can't wait patiently enough. The boss themes are peak music, you should listen to them. Mondstadt (germanic inspiration) and Liyue have music, BUT there is no mini-concert of two pieces, that became common practice with Inazuma's new region presentation, but there are full hours long concerts in the official Genshin channel where you can listen to the first two regions music, and if something was not played in the concerts there are many videos in the official channel that play the full OSTs, like this playlist
ruclips.net/p/PLqWr7dyJNgLKAYaH8YO0QHPSX-G8tO5lF&si=mp83qmXATnf70PW3 where you can listen to the first pieces they made for the game, this is Mondstadt's.
It's call evolving
Hello! I'm Japanese. The background music for Inazuma uses a part of the Japanese children's song "Sakura Sakura." I'm amazed at Mihoyo's composing skills.
I had to learn Sakura in school for Japanese lessons and it made me very happy to hear it in Genshin!
The area, music, and story/theme of that region was so beautiful and has some of my most favorite places to just walk around and vibe in
What's your thing in that culture? Do you also run around the islands with a katana and chop off heads? What are you talking about?
you should check out all genshin boss theme:
1. Dvalin theme
2.Andirus theme
3.Childe boss theme
4.Azhada theme
5.Signora theme
6.Raiden Shogun boss theme
7.Scaramouche theme
8.Warden Apep Theme
9.All devouring narwhal theme
10.Arlecchino boss theme
This is the chronological order of appearance in the game and also the best order of listening to them. It is always interesting to observe if a reactor notices a difference after number 7, or not
Also Character music ❤ esp Rex Lapis and Neuvillette's one~
duel in the mist
Great list of the weekly bosses, though it is missing some of the boss themes that are only found in the archon quests/world quests. I'll link some of them below:

- "Dragon and Determination", V4.8 event boss theme with Durin - ruclips.net/video/gVYcpQmmNiM/видео.html
List above excludes Normal Bosses, though one of my favorites is "Jolts in the Forest" from Sumeru (I beat the boss before the music gets good): ruclips.net/video/Nahr59G12Ss/видео.html
I think he should discover those as he plays the game since he intends to
Yeah, Natlan having a choir is something special. Just like this orchestra is made of all Japanese people. I loved it how not the conductor but the others were vibing while playing.
Duel in the Mist video has to be one of my favourite they made.

Good job on writing down the commentary and yes, I love Wagakki band a bit too much haha

Inazuma shines eternal!
Dude speaks 4 languages as far as we know. BOSS.
You are yet to hear me speak my mothertoungue KIKUYU 😀
If u liked the inazuma live symphony, take a look at another genshin soundtrack called "Duel In the Mist". That is one of Inazuma's battle soundtracks that uses only traditional japanese instruments but the song is composed in an EDM/trap style. Kinda similar to Waggaki Band's stuff with the modern and traditional mix. The link here:
ruclips.net/video/FYP2dM8RTFM/видео.html
Another testament to the amazing composers and soundtrack in this game
This soundtrack should be in everyone's top 3 music list of genshin impact. This track is just on another level. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Probably my favourite over-world battle theme to date. The section with the shakuhachi solo is really something else. Nasty beat drop.
@@TK-867 The only crime of that theme: in the openworld you almost never reach the 90sec mark 😢
I was about to suggest that, although as much for the semi-traditional staging of the video as for the music itself.
I agree, I'm an Inazuma bias, and this is my favorite Battle OST
There is actually an in-game piece for Fontaine that has lyrics. It's called "La Vaguelette." I'd recommend the "Storyline EP 'La Vaguelette' MV" video that Genshin uploaded. (make sure to view the storyline one with the real live person in the blue and black dress on the thumbnail, not the story teaser video with a 2d young woman on the thumbnail. That 2d one contains story spoilers.)
Polumnia Omnia is another song that includes a vocal performance also HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
@@TK-867we should probably have him wait until he does the quest for that one
And jun jin's performance if he wants, she also sings
This guy will have contents for years
Genshin has historically reserved vocals for meaningful reasons.
I think you could also really enjoy the different boss musics of genshin impact ! Those sound wonderful
Aw bleach mentioned 🎉
Btw another thing i don't know if people recommended before but character demos are amazing and have good music...
Anyways, there are two other musically focused pieces that have lyrics :
Divine Damsel of Devastation, it was Chinese opera
La Vaguelette, it was in French
I hope you give those a try as well
Oh~ I'd love to hear his thoughts on the chinese opera for sure, it's such a unique sound it'll be interesting to see him react blindly
My favourite of theirs is definitely the cover of rokuchounen to ichiya monogatari. I'm definitely biased cause it's my favourite vocaloid song.
I'll check those later, thanks for mentioning it ^_^
For both songs, I think it would be better if he heard it during his playthrough, since those two are story rewards.
Other regions actually has more than one musical performance
Fontaine has La Vaguelette, this is just one song but it has vocal
Sumeru has another musical video, the one with Port Ormos theme
Inazuma also has another musical video
It seems you have found the Battle Leitmotif! At least one battle theme of every region uses "Photon of Fluctuation", one of the battle themes in Mondstadt (the first region), although it's also used in other places.
Also Fun fact; Inazuma was the first time a New Nation was actually released roughly a year after Launch. Mondstadt & Liyue were both in the game since Launch.
Ooh, love Wagakki Band. Very people on the internet mention that band these days! You are a man of culture.
I would recommend watching the Liyue recording session

Lantern Rite Concert performed by Shanghai symphony. It has Liyue main theme, battle theme, Azhdaha and the Divine Damsel of devastation
Mondstadt theme was performed in 2021 concert by Flanders Symphony Orchestra (Belgium)
@@eldegal3441 I treat Divine Damsel as THE Liyue theme, it's that good🛐
Mondstadt and Liyue *DID* have 'Live Symphony' performances. They are included as part of longer concerts. "Mondstadt" was done once while "Liyue" was done at least twice.
- "Mondstadt" preformed by the Flanders Symphony Orchestra: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html
- "Liyue" by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra x2: ruclips.net/video/8svl0sQXDLI/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/RgcOQo-Ty_I/видео.html
you need to watch all character demo and watch from oldest video,The reason why the PV demo is liked by many people is because the character theme music is very impressive and it is very suitable for new players to understand the game world better.
the moment I enter Inazuma and encounter enemy,
it that moment I realize I was in a samurai movie, one area even has 24hrs heavy rain and thunder until we finish the world quest.
the zone is perfectly craft... the puzzle is headache for me tho
when you think seelies are annoying, enter, the electro seelies! 😂
Enjoy!
I imagine Natlan has vocals because human voices especially prevalent in the music of the cultures that inspired the songs
If this is a music channel I guaranteed you will have a good time with Genshin in that aspect.
Yes, I am a dj and this is a music channel. So Genshin music reactions will flow here
It's incredible that they were able to record this during the height of the Covid pandemic while the composer / music director was stuck in China and they insisted to collaborate with the Tokyo musicians for the Inazuma region. It was a real effort in cross-country collaboration
People are suggesting you to start after the Natlan update because there will be many quality of life updates, including slightly higher chances to get 5 stars characters (those are the rare ones.)
Loving your reactions and hope you'll have fun playing Genshin. It can be very overwhelming at the start, so play it on your pace :)

Inazuma will always be my favorite!😍
Same. I always stood still every time I heard the ayaka motif while exploring.
@@sajindahal790 Ayaka’s motif is one of my favorite melodies ever, as well as Raiden’s motif. Yu-Peng Chen nailed it with Inazuma!
@@guujigaming Agreed. Ayaka's motif is taken from a song yu peng chen made before genshin. You should take a listen if you haven't. Inazuma soundtrack is beyond peak.
@@sajindahal790 oh I have definitely heard it. Floating Life is one of my favorite melodies, and I’ve heard every version I could find of it😍
Genshin is also getting an anime btw, it was announced 2 years ago during the anniversary so now we are waiting for information about the official release.
It made me smile when you depicted a mission impossible-like scene xD
Unfortunately Monstadt doesn't have a symphony performance, but you can surely check the other tracks and videos! Hoyo music never miss
Mondstadt did have a symphony performance with the "Mondstadt" theme is only found in the "Melodies of an Endless Journey" 2021 Genshin Concert (ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html). I suggest the following tracks:
2. "Mondstadt" - Region Theme: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html&t=196s
11. "Photon of Fluctuation" - Battle Theme: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html&t=1354s
35. "Caelestinum Finale Termini" - Major Boss Theme: ruclips.net/video/UIam8zl4af8/видео.html&t=4588s
@gensao yes thank you! I meant that Mondstadt doesn't have a "traditional" Symphony video like the other regions
Thanks! I have read, marked and will react. Cheers
I personally like Wagakki Band's Queen of the Night!
Wagakki Band is so good, I love senbonzakura!
Keep up the great reactions, sir, you seem very kind, knowledgeable and lovely
Since you also enjoy anime and Japanese media, might be interested to learn there is an official Japanese dub for the game. They use professional voice actors, a good amount of who are very well known for anime roles. It's very cool. Also there's currently 4 official dubs of the game. Those being Manderin, English, Japanese and Korean. There are additional languages available for the subtitles. You can change the language in the game's settings
Yeah I love Wagakki Band, too! The shamisen just sounds grrrrrreat!❤
idk if someone answered already (probably)
But in the game, they released 2 regions the first year that the game came out, and when it did really well, they started doing concerts, I believe!

聴いてくれて嬉しい〜
Usually the BGMs of Boss fights have lyrics and the national theme songs are used as the BGM of the main cities. But Natlan has no main city, so I guess they are using Natlan's national theme song for the final Boss fight maybe?
I love Wagaki Band mostly their title Singing For , you are a man of culture 💙💙
日本語上手ですね〜⸜( ˶'ᵕ'˶)⸝
Wagakki Band is also one of my favourites! It's nice to know that you are also a fan of them. Music can really get people together from all over the world. (I'm from Hungary, Europe) ❤
I miss Inazuma
It still feels like it came out yesterday. Still my favourite, music wise.
Its funny you mentioned shogun when the electro archon of Inazuma is called the Raiden Shogun
Fun fact:
Inazuma is an actual Japanese word meaning "lightning" as a reference to Inazuma being the nation of the element of electro
While previous nations did not have lyrics in the main symphonies, they did 2 for Fonatine in French for side/story quests:
1. ruclips.net/video/jHjUHKdoaqI/видео.html (this is a solo masterpiece)
2. ruclips.net/video/EN79SfbcvIE/видео.html (French part only at the end)
Due to the main story in Sumeru, lyrics may be inappropriate. In addition to the symphony that you saw, here are two popular compositions:
ruclips.net/video/zQBrgGjwCPM/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/NfbT1Rgos4I/видео.html
Inazuma in one quest had this performance, not lyrics, but kids do make different sounds that sound like words sometimes
ruclips.net/video/O_Udh58C2dM/видео.html
Liyue had Chinese opera with lyrics in one quest:
ruclips.net/video/EiAhMr6IJTQ/видео.html
Finally, for Mondstadt and the main Genshin theme, there were multiple versions tested, including with lyrics, but they went on with version without:
ruclips.net/video/Ou4qEvatUHA/видео.html
And English voice actor for one of the main characters from Mondstadt herself composed quick tunes. Only English sings it, while other language VAs just read it:
ruclips.net/video/a-Nmyh8_2sQ/видео.html
I think you as a rock player you might appreciate the rock in Arataki Itto character demo
The liyue symphony is much longer than the others since it launched with the game so they never did a smaller concert for its release like other regions, here's a link to it enjoy. ruclips.net/video/8svl0sQXDLI/видео.html
Also Mondstadt does have a live performance but only in a full concert, here's some snippets.

Thanks for the links! Will follow up
@@AlphaWolfRadioWithEdygrimDJ yer very welcome!
Every character in the game ( aside from the standard characters) has their own theme you can find thm their character demos the demos themsevls are visual specticles and the more recent they are the better the visuals are
Also, watch Arlecchino's battle theme. All the visuals will make more sense when you play the game and get to her part
Now about playing the game before or after Natlan, I would suggest you to start playing now so you can advance in the main story and have some advantage when heading to Natlan. Mondstadt and Liyue's quests are way shorter than the rest of regions.
Yes please react to boss music. You'll be surprised how good and how different boss themes are compared to regional themes
Hey, thank you for recomending this jupanese band, good stuff
11:08 - long name? is it "Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story"?
So if you do end up deciding that the other regions don't really interest you, then might as well jump straight to Natlan at that point haha
Just know that if you do, there will most likely be lots of lore and character names that may be lost on you since you won't know the references or implications of what they are saying.
Natlan having Lyrics was a surprise to most, Lyrics aren't too common in Genshin with some exceptions like bosses.
wait until you listen to boss themes !!!! most boss songs are a mix of traditional music of each area with rock/metal music or EDM . It gets wild 🤣👌🏻
If your still interested in genshin music I highly recommend reacting to genshin boss themes such as :
Arlecchino boss theme
Raiden shogun boss theme
Scaramouche boss theme
Signora boss theme
Azdaha boss theme
Warden of oasis boss theme
And childe boss theme
You should check out one of the Inazuman Battle themes; Duel in the Mist.
Liyue please look at the Spring Festival concert
That said if you want vocals you have:
Signora Scaramouche and Arlecchino themes in latin.
Love the stank face lol. Keep it up.
I feel that u can actually start playing the game now so u wont have to rush. U can only start natlan story quest if u finished the first 2 regions of the game

Sumeru is inspired from Middle East such as Arab. To put it simple, the 3 Major cultures inspired in Sumeru is India, Egypt and Arab.
Chenyu Vale has lyrics. I think its them just expanding, trying to improve perhaps
You have to check out Duel of Mist!
I feel like it would be good to play a bit before Natlan's release, so you can catch up with some stuff until then :)
