The dome-shaped theatre was opened as the Century 21 Theatre with "Gone with the Wind" in 1968.. oh the movie memories, then continued in 1968 with 2001 Space Odessy. The dome theatre was an unofficial landmark near the Oakland Coliseum.
The theatre was originally a single-screen seating 960 and then split in half in 1973.
