Just like Indonesia, GoPNG is/was wrong to have let the mine operate with poor environmental standards and disregard for the peoples livelihoods during/after mining operations... ~my_thoughts~
I think it would be proper for the for the PNG Government to help them after recognising the veterans and PNG Soldiers who fought and died during the crisis.

Lives were lost on both sides.
More than 10 000 lives lost in bougainvillea.
Bougainvilleans still carry the burden of their lost souls.
If Papua New Guinea would do this to Bougainville, I see nothing wrong in what Indonesia is doing to West Papua.
Do think West Papuan condone what the PNG government did to Bougainville?
