I love this fact though. I like the idea that Sora is the wild card in the world. He breaks the rules that we know and therefore can't be predicted. I feel like Sora can break whatever prophecy is destined to happen because it never accounted for Sora being there. People tend to forget, he IS the main protagonist of the KH series.

mewtwo175 no, roxas's second keyblade is ven's since he shares the same body and hearts (if not mind) as sora. xion is just an empty puppet that the organization put near roxas as a failsafe. the more he became friends with her the more she siphoned from him. xion had taken one of roxas's (ven or sora's) keyblades and when he defeated her he regained it. xion was only ever meant to take roxas's job if he rebelled.
I think that it needs to be explore the times even before of Unchained X. Imagine if KH 4 has a plot about the keyblades deteriorating (All Keyblade users except Sora lose it) and they got to investigate how Keyblades even get made and how the original big world got split into the unique isolated worlds that we know. KH has such a massive an rich plot that anything can work.
my little piece of headcannon is that that the keychains are like armor for the keyblade. it's original form uses a keychain as like a focus point while switching the keychain is like customizing the form to match your needs.

I'm pretty sure xahinort's keyblade that he got from Luxu is a keyblade of heart. it acts really similar to the keyblade of heart that is created in kh1, and xahinort mentioned that type of keyblade in his notes, so he knew a lot about it.

Keyblade are made with materials around the realm mythril, elemental material, ect. The conjuring, tranformation and unlocking abilities come from the keyblader wielder themselves.
Hey cynical, got a question for you, ever done a naked play through of KHFM, I'll explain, you never change the keychain, only allowed to use magic to heal (ethers optional) and can only equip one accessory at a time? I tried recently on standard mode and am currently level 64 and I do minuscule damage to any form of Ansem.
Headcanon for KH: original keybladers created their own keyblades through hard work & later some even magic. When they died, their spirits stay with the keychain of the keyblade (or maybe just the keyblade) they created & find a new wielder //shot

I would like to see lore videos to do with DDD. Because Xehanort says something along the lines of "Data cannot dream. You have no idea where you are", implying it is not a real sleeping world. Since everything happened in Sora's dream, were those worlds not actual sleeping worlds, but figments of Sora's dream? It would still make sense that Riku can get the power to awaken sleeping hearts, because one can still aquire skills in lucid dreams. But the sleeping worlds are still sleeping, no?

After the war im guessing the kingdom key stayed in the realm of light while the kingdom key D (darkness) stayed in the realm of darkness. and Kingdom Key and Kingdom Hearts have both the words kingdom in it. so if the kingdom key and kingdom key d were to merge it would create the X-blade. and the X-Blades purpose is to protect Kingdom Hearts.
I think the lore behind the keyblade weilders is underrated, I hope kh3 explains this part of kingdom hearts more, and maybe bring back anti form because like really, that was unexpected
No Ventus isn't the only reason why Sora can wield a Keyblade. The reason why he can is because the Keyblade itself chose him after seeing it's intended owner fall too far into darkness, or because Ansem was possesing Riku at that time, and since Ansem is a heartless(heartlesses can't wield Keyblades) it "moved down the list", as Xigbar said and picked Sora. Either explanation you pick still leads to the conclusion that the Keyblade basically changed its mind and picked Sora. Still a good video though, just thought I could correct you there
I believe the Kingdom Key decided on Sora because he has a Good heart as seen in BBS by letting Ven stay in his heart, that showed Sora has a Strong heart
I don't remember the exact explanation, but your character is basically going into the book of prophecies (or something like that), and that's why you interact with characters who aren't technically around yet.
It's been explained,but I'll give the gist of it. The book of prophecies has the ability to create things from events destined to happen that have not truly happened yet. The foretellers read that the keyblade war was going to happen and the world would fall to darkness,so they used the book to create worlds that have yet to truly happen in the timeline and filled them with heartless and emblem heartless. The heartless carry along an artificial sort of light called lux,which is what the foretellers had their union's wielders collect. However,keyblade wielders began to get greedy for lux and eventually lost themselves to the darkness.
isnt the keychain what actually changes the keyblades whole look in the first place? Im wondering if it was known then to make the chains based off these worlds and types beings special powers to the keyblades and how did they figure that out? 1:32 No, it was until at the end of KH2 that we see him with this keyblade for the first time, storywise, even if he's playable with this keyblade in days. 3:43 YX has no Keyblade, he had that one at the end of KH3D because his older self (Master Xehanort) was posessing him (yeah, in that penultimate boss fight you technically fight the Grandpa). You've said X-Blade is pronunced as Keyblade, yet, you say "Ex-Blade", not "Key-Blade".
I would really like a lore video explaining why Ventus is so special, like how did Ventus get the ability to wield a keyblade, why is it that it's specifically Ventus and Vanitas that need to fight in order to forge the Xblade, why not someone else, like why Ventus specifically? Maybe Xehanort did the special ritual to Ventus and that's why he can wield a keyblade, but it wouldn't make sense because in the beginning of Birth by Sleep Xehanort was about to leave Ventus on Destiny Island, only to Xehanorts surprise, a keyblade appears in Ventus' hand, meaning it probably wasn't Xehanort. Ugh so many questions.
Or maybe you just play the damn game and find out for yourself since it explained there. Anyway Master Xehanort(MX) wanted Ventus and Vanitas to fight because both are pure light and darkness respectively. The x-blade can be forge if light and darkness clash but this failed since it was unbalanced. The only true way to forge the x-blade is seven light and thirteen darknesses. Also Ventus has the keyblade because he was MX's aprrentice and future vessel but since he was weak and dying from forcibly removing his darkness to create Vanitas he was left on Destiny island until eventually he drop him off on The Land of Departure.

Let us hit these plot points in order: Terra performed the inheritance ceremony on Riku. Then Aqua went to Destiny Islands and found that someone had already passed the power on to Riku. She then says "One keyblade is enough for any friendship", thus jinxing him. And that is why Sora, Riku, and Kairi can all wield keyblades. (jk, of course)
We have also seen that a Keyblade (or at least Sora's Keyblade) can exist in multiple places simultaneously. What with Sora's drive forms, Roxas's ability to dual wield naturally, and both Roxas and Xion using the Kingdom Key while fighting on missions at the same time. Although it is possible that this ability is due to Sora having two Keyblade wielder hearts within him (Ven and his own), I believe that it is more of a testament to the strength of Sora's heart. After all, the Kingdom Key chose Sora over it's intended master because of this strength. Also, the clothes Sora gets from the three good fairies in KH2 draws upon the power in his heart to give him access to abilities he did not know he had.
Your second explanation is correct. Sora can dual-wield in Drive forms due to him utilizing his own keyblade and Ven's at the same time. This goes for Roxas as well, Roxas is using Sora's and Ven's keyblades. Now that Ven is set to be freed from Sora in KHIII I assume this will stop Sora's dual-wielding ability (and by extension I assume drive forms will be gone) Xion's Keyblade is a fake and isn't the Kingdom Key or even a keyblade at all.
OK 2 things 1: Rikus blade the Soul Eater does not transform to Way to the Dawn in Dream Drop Distance Riku can summon one or the other and 2: the key chains are only a gameplay mechanic having nothing to do with the actual lure even Unchained X shows this

The brooms are a Disney reference to the movie Fantasia, which took classical music and added videos to them. In the movie, Mickey used Yen Sid's magic before being able to control it in order to make the brooms do his chore, but couldn't make them stop after the job was done. Square decided to use the brooms as something similar to servants in Disney Town/Disney Castle
At the end of BBS, Ventus's heart went into Sora's where it shaped the future of Sora's look, hence the similarity of Vanitas and Sora. Now for the similarity of the X-blade and Kingdom Key, we know that the X-blade forms when merging a heart of pure light and a heart of pure darkness which were Ventus and Vanitas in BBS. Also, we know that each keyblade forms on resemblance of the owner's heart. So the moment Sora had his keyblade back in Destiny Islands, it formed in a way that would be connected into his heart, and who is inside Sora again? It's Ventus and Vanitas, with that we got the similarity between them. Otherwise, Kingdom Key would have had a different shape if it was owned by Riku. Hope it helps :)
Vanitus is gone. Ventus destroyed most of him in the BBS main story and then his lingering will is a secret boss in BBS. Only Ventus got moved to Sora at the end.
Since the X-blade is like the official keyblade for kingdom hearts, I like to believe that Sora is special and hence his keyblade has a special form, the same way Mickey's does. If you think about it, the shape reprisents the person, and both Sora and Mickey are like keepers of all the worlds, hence the Kingdom Keys. Only difference is that Mickey found his later, since his original blade is the Fantasia themed one.
Its the original Keyblade. There are two Kingdom Keys. Maybe both make the X blade. One represents Oathkeeper and the other Oblivion. Thats why I have a feeling that Two Become One is the X Blade

it's because... well, lea, or axel, is a nobody in kh2, so he can't wield a keyblade, even if we all know that nobodies have a heart. that's why roxas can wield a keyblade. so axel's nobody died, and lea formed. and you all know, axel already giving his heart to light, and when he became lea, his heart contains light.

Sora got Riku's keyblade. That's hy Riku tried to take it back in KH1. Since Riku's heart was too weak due to darkness, the keynlade sensed the potential in Sora (partly due to ventus) and passed on to him.
Jordan Coleman Terra passed his down to Riku, Sora then received it because Riku was falling to darkness. Sora STILL has the keyblade that was meant for Riku, so the one he has now is not the one that was passed to him.

Terra only passed down the power to wield a keyblade, not for him to actually inherit his. Terra didn't use the Kingdom key so whether riku fell in darkness or not, he still would've got a brand new keyblade

The first keyblade was probably the x-blade then its master passed on the power on in a weaker form. And a weilder of the x-blade has not been seen since. Could be the master of masters or someone older.
I always assumed it was because the heartless WANT to be set free. They are hearts that are trapped in darkness and maybe the light in their hearts is forcing them to hunt the thing that can free them.
How about this: Kill everything that can't kill you, alert a large group of people who can kill you or Pick off the ones that can kill you then kill the defenseless

I got some questions, not really about it tho, ( but before I do that, can't you say that the keyblade is powerful against darkness in general).but first, it was said that in the time before the key wars, keyblades were man-made. Terra's not officially a Keyblade Master (doesn't have the title), but he is a master-level Keyblade wielder, which is why he was able to perform the Inheritance Ceremony on Riku. It should also be noted that Eraqus was originally going to make Terra and Aqua Keyblade Masters without giving them the Mark of Mastery Exam, but Xehanort planted the idea in his mind that Terra wasn't ready to be a Master, and urged him to give them the Exam just to be safe.

so why does Sora have 2 keyboards? I always thought that Sora's keyblade was originally meant for riku but when his heart turned to darkness, it chose Sora instead and that keyblade is for the realm of light, Mickey's being from the realm of darkness, that's how riku took in back in kh1 but then went back to Sora when his heart proved stronger, his second one is from ventus which was used by roxas until they became one so Sora then got his original one and then one from ventus

that would explain the two kingdom keys. After the war im guessing the kingdom key stayed in the realm of light while the kingdom key D (darkness) stayed in the realm of darkness. and Kingdom Key and Kingdom Hearts have both the words kingdom in it. so if the kingdom key and kingdom key d were to merge it would create the X-blade. and the X-Blades purpose is to protect Kingdom Hearts.
I think the lore behind the keyblade weilders is underrated, I hope kh3 explains this part of kingdom hearts more, and maybe bring back anti form because like really, that was unexpected

No Ventus isn't the only reason why Sora can wield a Keyblade. The reason why he can is because the Keyblade itself chose him after seeing it's intended owner fall too far into darkness, or because Ansem was possesing Riku at that time, and since Ansem is a heartless(heartlesses can't wield Keyblades) it "moved down the list", as Xigbar said and picked Sora. Either explanation you pick still leads to the conclusion that the Keyblade basically changed its mind and picked Sora. Still a good video though, just thought I could correct you there
I believe the Kingdom Key decided on Sora because he has a Good heart as seen in BBS by letting Ven stay in his heart, that showed Sora has a Strong heart

I don't remember the exact explanation, but your character is basically going into the book of prophecies (or something like that), and that's why you interact with characters who aren't technically around yet.
It's been explained,but I'll give the gist of it.
The book of prophecies has the ability to create things from events destined to happen that have not truly happened yet. The foretellers read that the keyblade war was going to happen and the world would fall to darkness,so they used the book to create worlds that have yet to truly happen in the timeline and filled them with heartless and emblem heartless.
The heartless carry along an artificial sort of light called lux,which is what the foretellers had their union's wielders collect. However,keyblade wielders began to get greedy for lux and eventually lost themselves to the darkness.
isnt the keychain what actually changes the keyblades whole look in the first place? Im wondering if it was known then to make the chains based off these worlds and types beings special powers to the keyblades and how did they figure that out? Or does they keyblade instinctively create its own chains per the new world since it seems it has a mind of its own to choose its weilder as we have heard before?

You've said X-Blade is pronunced as Keyblade, yet, you say "Ex-Blade", not "Key-Blade".
I would really like a lore video explaining why Ventus is so special, like how did Ventus get the ability to wield a keyblade, why is it that it's specifically Ventus and Vanitas that need to fight in order to forge the Xblade, why not someone else, like why Ventus specifically? Maybe Xehanort did the special ritual to Ventus and that's why he can wield a keyblade, but it wouldn't make sense because in the beginning of Birth by Sleep Xehanort was about to leave Ventus on Destiny Island, only to Xehanorts surprise, a keyblade appears in Ventus' hand, meaning it probably wasn't Xehanort. Ugh so many questions.
Or maybe you just play the damn game and find out for yourself since it explained there. Anyway Master Xehanort(MX) wanted Ventus and Vanitas to fight because both are pure light and darkness respectively. The x-blade can be forge if light and darkness clash but this failed since it was unbalanced. The only true way to forge the x-blade is seven light and thirteen darknesses.
Also Ventus has the keyblade because he was MX's aprrentice and future vessel but since he was weak and dying from forcibly removing his darkness to create Vanitas he was left on Destiny island until eventually he drop him off on The Land of Departure.

We have also seen that a Keyblade (or at least Sora's Keyblade) can exist in multiple places simultaneously. What with Sora's drive forms, Roxas's ability to dual wield naturally, and both Roxas and Xion using the Kingdom Key while fighting on missions at the same time. Although it is possible that this ability is due to Sora having two Keyblade wielder hearts within him (Ven and his own), I believe that it is more of a testament to the strength of Sora's heart. After all, the Kingdom Key chose Sora over it's intended master because of this strength. Also, the clothes Sora gets from the three good fairies in KH2 draws upon the power in his heart to give him access to abilities he did not know he had.

Your second explanation is correct. Sora can dual-wield in Drive forms due to him utilizing his own keyblade and Ven's at the same time. This goes for Roxas as well, Roxas is using Sora's and Ven's keyblades. Now that Ven is set to be freed from Sora in KHIII I assume this will stop Sora's dual-wielding ability (and by extension I assume drive forms will be gone)
Xion's Keyblade is a fake and isn't the Kingdom Key or even a keyblade at all.

it represents riku and sora. the kingdom key meant to be riku's, but a stronger heart, which is sora, take it from him, because riku's heart not strong enough that someday he'll fall to darkness. well at least we already know that riku was given a 2nd chance to wield a keyblade, right!

The brooms are a Disney reference to the movie Fantasia, which took classical music and added videos to them. In the movie, Mickey used Yen Sid's magic before being able to control it in order to make the brooms do his chore, but couldn't make them stop after the job was done. Square decided to use the brooms as something similar to servants in Disney Town/Disney Castle

At the end of BBS, Ventus's heart went into Sora's where it shaped the future of Sora's look, hence the similarity of Vanitas and Sora. Now for the similarity of the X-blade and Kingdom Key, we know that the X-blade forms when merging a heart of pure light and a heart of pure darkness which were Ventus and Vanitas in BBS. Also, we know that each keyblade forms on resemblance of the owner's heart. So the moment Sora had his keyblade back in Destiny Islands, it formed in a way that would be connected into his heart, and who is inside Sora again? It's Ventus and Vanitas, with that we got the similarity between them. Otherwise, Kingdom Key would have had a different shape if it was owned by Riku. Hope it helps :)
Vanitus is gone. Ventus destroyed most of him in the BBS main story and then his lingering will is a secret boss in BBS. Only Ventus got moved to Sora at the end.
Since the X-blade is like the official keyblade for kingdom hearts, I like to believe that Sora is special and hence his keyblade has a special form, the same way Mickey's does.
If you think about it, the shape reprisents the person, and both Sora and Mickey are like keepers of all the worlds, hence the Kingdom Keys.
Only difference is that Mickey found his later, since his original blade is the Fantasia themed one.
Its the original Keyblade. There are two Kingdom Keys. Maybe both make the X blade. One represents Oathkeeper and the other Oblivion. Thats why I have a feeling that Two Become One is the X Blade

it's because... well, lea, or axel, is a nobody in kh2, so he can't wield a keyblade, even if we all know that nobodies have a heart. that's why roxas can wield a keyblade. so axel's nobody died, and lea formed. and you all know, axel already giving his heart to light, and when he became lea, his heart contains light.

Sora got Riku's keyblade. That's hy Riku tried to take it back in KH1. Since Riku's heart was too weak due to darkness, the keynlade sensed the potential in Sora (partly due to ventus) and passed on to him.
Then where did Riku get his keyblade he has now then?

Jordan Coleman Terra passed his down to Riku, Sora then received it because Riku was falling to darkness. Sora STILL has the keyblade that was meant for Riku, so the one he has now is not the one that was passed to him.

Terra only passed down the power to wield a keyblade, not for him to actually inherit his. Terra didn't use the Kingdom key so whether riku fell in darkness or not, he still would've got a brand new keyblade

I always assumed it was because the heartless WANT to be set free. They are hearts that are trapped in darkness and maybe the light in their hearts is forcing them to hunt the thing that can free them.
I don't know maybe to kill the one wielding it. Swarms of them attacking the wielder in numbers can make that happen.
How about this:
Kill everything that can't kill you, alert a large group of people who can kill you
or
Pick off the ones that can kill you then kill the defenseless

I got some questions, not really about it tho, ( but before I do that, can't you say that the keyblade is powerful against darkness in general).but first, it was said that in the time before the key wars, keyblades were man-made. Terra's not officially a Keyblade Master (doesn't have the title), but he is a master-level Keyblade wielder, which is why he was able to perform the Inheritance Ceremony on Riku. It should also be noted that Eraqus was originally going to make Terra and Aqua Keyblade Masters without giving them the Mark of Mastery Exam, but Xehanort planted the idea in his mind that Terra wasn't ready to be a Master, and urged him to give them the Exam just to be safe.
