    Calcium not all cholesterol

  • @JimmyEpolito
    @JimmyEpolito 7 месяцев назад +10

    Maybe also mention that the cholesterol buildup is due to chronic inflammation. People blame cholesterol for heart attacks when it is due to their inflammatory condition. Cholesterol repairs damage inside of the vessels which was initially caused by inflammation. Then your doc puts you on a Statin limiting your cholesterol production and CoQ10 so that you have less protection.

    What happens when you get a mini heart attack, you get a Cardiac Catheterization
    and your doctor tells you “you have healthy heart and there was no heart damage” ? What caused it then ?
    Can a moment of extreme stress or anger cause this ?

    • @healthdecide
      @healthdecide  2 месяца назад +1

      By mini heart attack do you mean chest pain? It's called Angina, and we have a whole video on it available. Stable angina can cause chest pain, but doesn't damage the heart. When due to a narrowed artery, it can be a warning sign for increased risk of heart attack. And yes, that can be caused by extreme stress or anger- any time your heart starts working harder. ruclips.net/video/T4gqz5gcJfo/видео.html

    • @healthdecide
      @healthdecide  2 месяца назад +1

      There are many different medications that address various factors of heart disease - blood pressure medications, statins, calcium channel blockers, beta blockers, etc. Additionaly many stents (placed to open the arteries) are coated with medicine that help improve the condition, there are also procedures that remove the plaques, but they are not without significant risks. Lifestyle changes (diet, exercise, quitting tabacco use) are essential for better heart health.

      I use to get calcium plaque build up on the inside of my lower front teeth. This is an indication that I am prone to calcium deposits in my body.
      Been taking K2 mk7 supplement for two years now, not a sign of calcium plaque on my teeth, shows it's doing the job.
      K2 will not eliminate calcium from arteries completely but slow it down.
      Hopefully.

    So atherosclerosis incidence and physical inactivity has increased in the past 3 decades?

    • @healthdecide
      @healthdecide  Год назад +1

      Since atherosclerosis is mostly an asymptomatic condition (until it’s reached an advanced stage), it can be difficult to determine the incidence accurately. There are some studies that indicate - over time, the burden of atherosclerosis has shifted to the older population and decreased in younger adults. But Atherosclerosis is considered the major cause of cardiovascular diseases. In the United States, about 610,000 people die of heart disease every year. That is 1 in every 4 deaths. It has been reported that 75% of acute myocardial infarctions occur from plaque rupture and the highest incidence of plaque rupture was observed in men over 45 years. To your other question, self-reported studies show insufficient activity increased by 5% (from 31.6% to 36.8%) in high-income countries between 2001 and 2016. Inactivity rates vary widely by location and ethnicity. These disparities can be resultant of barriers to physical activity, like a lack of safe spaces such as parks, unsafe streets with lots of traffic and no sidewalks. But the health repercussions of not getting enough physical activity can be severe. As shown here.

      This is in reference to well documented uptick in heart attacks at the end of every year (winter holidays) correlated with an increase of stress, disruption of routine, and winter weather. Christmas Day reports more cardiac deaths than any other day of the year. (followed by Dec 26, and then Jan 1). Other factors may also be impacting the numbers, but year end stress is definitely not heart healthy.
