- Angina Pectoris (Stable, Unstable, Variant, and Microvascular)
Angina is not a disease itself but rather a symptom of an underlying heart condition, most commonly coronary artery disease.
The most typical symptom of angina is chest pain or discomfort, which may feel like pressure, squeezing, heaviness, or tightness in the chest.
Angina can also manifest as pain or discomfort in the arms, shoulders, neck, jaw, or back, particularly in women and those with diabetes.
There are different types of angina, including stable angina (predictable chest pain triggered by physical exertion or stress), unstable angina (chest pain that occurs unpredictably, even at rest), and variant (Prinzmetal's) angina (caused by coronary artery spasm).
Treatment for angina typically involves lifestyle modifications, such as quitting smoking, adopting a heart-healthy diet, regular exercise, and medications to manage risk factors and symptoms. In some cases, procedures like angioplasty or coronary artery bypass surgery may be necessary to improve blood flow to the heart.

A whole-food plant-based diet is the best way to avoid plaque buildup. An overwhelming amount of literature is available to support this.
Diet is the most important preventative factor for heart disease.
@@healthdecideThank you for emphasizing prevention. It’s unfortunate to see a sizable percentage of the population suffering from chronic diseases due to poor dietary habits, among other factors.
This is an excellent video and your videos are incredibly helpful for those of us who learn best with visualizations. I’m sharing your videos with my nursing cohort and they are enjoying them as well. 🙂
@@caliskaterboy We feel the same way: education and prevention are both so important. And when people can see and understand it can make all the difference.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we're so glad that you are enjoying the videos and getting value from them. Abd thank you for sharing!
This was very helpful in my studies. Thanks for the video
Glad it was helpful! You’re welcome.
now it becomes easy to read it from the book.
We’re happy to hear that- our goal is to help people visualize and understand the human body and their own health better 💕
