I didn't expect this was going to be a full tear down, rather than just a cosmetic touch up and clean. Despite what others here are saying negatively, I think u did a great job so well done mate
Very nice restoration as usual. One bit if advice/help. When cleaning the woofers, after getting all dust removed. Try using a black felt tip marker to recolor the speaker cone to its original black color.👍👍
Wow that's great. It looks amazing. I had a friend that did similar restorations on old electronics that people loved. It was part of decore of room design. He would repair plastics color match , and make it look beautiful, and fit in room design. His big difference, because it would also have to function well, he would upgrade important pieces. No not Bluetooth or any thing like that. He would change all imput and output jacks to higher quality, as well as power transformer. And would replace speakers to much higher quality, and modify inside the speaker box for best sound.
Everyone has there own opinions. Well for you have done a clean up to hifi. And you have given it a new look. I appreciate it. I have 3 hifi like these. I like to buy vintage model. I have 1 jvc 2 nd Sony 3rd Aiwa. I must look a for a Time to restore it. It needs a good clean. And some parts are not working. If you was in my country. I would give you my 3 hifi for restoration. Because I like your work. Your soldering are good. And you replace old accessories as the same old one. That's why I like your work. Good job.
Really like the blue. We had vivid colors in the 1980s and this encompasses that. Ive got a ton of electronics that ive had since childhood and took care of but have aged just due to exposure. Id love to know how to restore then all.
it's extremely relaxing to watch you do these projects for some reason so thanks for sharing! I always learn many new tricks to use in my own projects also! My only issue is that I would have switched out the original speakers and tweeters for something modern that would sound 10 times better. The speakers they used back then were not very good in terms of sound and quality but I still enjoyed the video! great work!
Really really good job but the paint let it down :( So much time and energy for that to be rushed. Proper rub down, primer and paint stages and mask better or remove mesh etc first
This is awesome, i've never gone quite that far, but i've taken something similar apart, cleaned and got working again. I tell you what though, sure, i love keeping it original, but i changed the speakers on mine :)
Do you think it'd be a good idea to clean the corrosion on the PCBs? That paint is super fresh though, I love the satin black and blue. Excellent work!
Great work! But I can't help but think of little experiments to try to increase the audio quality of this speaker though. Like, I wonder if it would sound better if you coated the inside plastic of the stereo speaker boxes with some kind of soft rubber type of material.

There was no need to paint in this azure color. In addition, the paint lay unsatisfactory. But the window of the cassette receiver is restored perfectly.
Good job, looks very nice. Will the color spray remain on the plastic case without preparing it with primer? I made the experience it flakes off after a while.
The blue paint - it probably doesn't matter if this unit is part of your own collection, as long as it all works once reassembled ... nice "restomod" job. :-)

It's Amazing..you took me back through my good old times..
This is a FANTASTIC colour!! Matches nicely with this little hifi and makes it look like a new vintage stereo!!

That’s crazy. I use to have this same radio when I was a kid. Memory lane. Thanks for the upload. Nice work by the way.

OMG WHAT A FIND!
I used to have this back then when I was in the high school. Sooo much good memory in this tape/radio ❤️🎶
Awesome work! I love the color btw. :)
Wow my Favorite cfs-1133 I am former SONY Technician. Love this model
at first i thought this was just a standard clean up. Then i saw the shit you did with the PCB and cassette window. Holy snap. excellent work.
Wiping that golden "MEGA BASS" text with blue paint was a crime, sorry.
Bạn chăm chút cho từng chi tiết và rất cẩn thận ,tay nghề loại giỏi.
Not sure how you had the patience to do that, but my mind is blown! Great Job!!

good old radio, maybe it will be great if you change the speaker part to a better one
Impressive. Just curious -- did you need to review your video of the breakdown so you could get it back together in the end?

Great Job. Greatings From Germany
Reusing the painted cover tape, great!
Result look amazing!
Perfect and respect. Bravo!
I think the paint job would look much nicer with a couple of coats of clear coat.

It's really great work buddy!
The work for this is unreal
But IMO , it should stay black...
Very good And Nice work...more power to ur channel..

Parabéns... Só faltou o Bluetooth... Saudações brasileiras amigo...
Paint on plastic without primer? Won't last long.
Hey cool! Someone who does what I do! And in Vietnam! Normally, I have to tune in via shortwave to get this kind of music. :)

Why at the beginning of the video show the final result? All desire to watch has beaten off! But in general, the work deserves respect!
I'm thinking that because he knows some people are impatient.
Excellent restoration, I really like the idea with a different color.
Wow this came out amazing. I do wish you did't show the AFTER part at the first of the vid though. Regardless I really enjoyed it =)
the only mistake is the blue paint, if you doing a restoration, dont change de original color. otherwise you make a great job. congrats.
giờ em mới biết vn mình làm mấy kênh kiểu này nhiều ghê ta

Fantastic restoration
It looked pretty decent on the first place.
There was no need to paint in this azure color. In addition, the paint lay unsatisfactory.
But the window of the cassette receiver is restored perfectly.
Patience, concentration and great effort. Nice job👍
Awesome work but I would have preferred to stay with the original color.

Great work but personally I don't like the blue. I think it would have been better to stay with black. But still excellent work.

I think he is not jus doing restoration, he also doing customization.
NOT a restoration, a clean up job at best. terrible paint finish. not impressed.
Same. I'm so annoyed.
Verry good . Sony number one .
He may have painted it blue for a customer plus the blue looks awesome !
This guys amazing!
Good job my friend
Before painting it is necessary to clean the surface with fine sandpaper
Yes the surface will adhere better to the paint
Verry nice restore 👍😉🇹🇷
