i admired your level of patience, it really need a lot to do that.. i have done some restoring of old stereo players like that before but i never washed electronics with water, i just use brush to removed the dirts.. but still, youve done an excellent job..
Luarbiasa om.. 👍👍👍nostalgia . sy punya type ini beli 1997 di jayapura sblm pa harto lengser.. Barusan saya pake lg stlh lama digudang. Cuma bisa radio aja.. tapi suara mega bass masih ok.. anak sy suka ternyata...
I would recover the stickers that you have removed from the speakers. Anyway, cool job, that's good that there is a such people like you, restoring old tech.
You have got to be kidding... that is an incredible skill to restore something that looks so complicated to most of us. I can’t imagine diagnosing problems, making repairs, and putting it back together. Stay awesome.
Impressed with the revitalization of this device !! I have a Phillips 4x1 from the 80's, which is kept waiting for such a restoration !! But I didn't find anyone reliable with such talent as yours !! Congratulations
at first I thought there is no way in hell you can make this look new again.... so I had to watch... HOLY SHIT !!!!!! I cant believe my eyes... if I did not see it I would not have believed it. How do you remember where all the parts go.... you are amazing.

These videos are so awesome. Part post-apocalyptic repair man, part recycling genius and in places, with the look and feel of a Jan Svankmajer stop motion film.

This was our first boombox at home. We had a Kenwood tape deck component with large speaker but this sounds better by a mile. I would buy this again if it were available in my country.
I think I know my ears enough to know that the sound quality is good. They are capable bookshelf speakers. If you never grown up during the boombox era then you don't understand the value of these audio gears.
A big thumbs up for that one. Some Sony equipment could be taken apart quite easily. It's remembering how it goers back together thats the issue for most of us. Thanks for a great video. I would love to know what type of polish you used on the plastic case ?
I'm not too sure about using just water to clean it. Sure maybe the plastic shell, but the Internal electronics? No. But hey it was still a nice restoration job through, looks good as new. Good piece of retro tech.
Hi, awesome job...Congratulations, but, Like 07:54, water or alcohol? 08:24, 11:30 what are you using? and so on ... I think it would be much better if you share every material you use with us as subtitles.
The one thing we especially like about our Sanyo C-2 boombox is the fact that its speaker jacks are located equidistant from each other. That and they're phone plugs - none of that bare wire nonsense...
A master at work. Inspiring.
Oh hi, didn't expect to see you round here!
Techmoan, I love your channel ^_^
I'm glad to see a comment from the techmoan teacher on the channel of another great teacher also TE

Your work is above reproach. It's like watching a classical pianist .
I learned something today: 3M silicone paste as a lubricant for plastic. Another great video Mr. Nguyen!!!
silicon grease / paste was probabaly use originally in that machine.. Also is what you use on electric motor bearings too
a really impressive detail of restoration , it reminded me of one similar that has been in storage for 25 years that I have .
Молодец, очередной лайк! Красивая и хорошая магнитола.

У меня на даче точно такой же стоит, покупал в начале 90-х годов. До сих пор работает.
I'm not that old (29) but this new generation just don't know how good those old Radios sound like :-)) especially Sony, Aiwa, Sharp, Panasonic...
Una segunda y larga vida a esa minicadena con las reparaciones y limpieza efectuada. ¡ Bien por TE !
It has to be said, that is some fantastic soldering right there!

You do not want this garbage. Buy something that is actually good.
@@hi-fidude6670 the garbage of someone is gold for another one

Great Job. I like it.😄👍

Son impresionante los trabajos que haces saludos desde Argentina, hermoso sistema de audio
The equaliser pots should have had WD-40 or similar sprayed onto them, not silicone grease... Overall an excellent restoration... WELL DONE!!! 10/10
