Seven is one of the greatest films I've ever seen. The performances put on by Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, and especially Kevin Spacey were absolutely incredible.
Some trivia about SEVEN. Brad and Gywneth were a couple in the mid 1990s and he recommended her for the role of Tracy. In recent interviews Denzel Washington mentioned two movies he turned down that he regrets not taking. One was SEVEN, Denzel said he was offered the role that went to Brad Pitt. I like Brad and Morgan as the detectives. As I like the young cop/old cop dynamic between the two.
I saw SE7EN at the theater in 1995 it was the #1 film at the box office for four weeks. You might be interested in knowing that SE7EN is returning to theaters in IMAX for a limited run starting January 3, 2025.
Stop guessing. It is SoCal; the grungiest parts of LA where it just happens to rain for three to four days in a row that year. Edit: If you had been paying attention, instead of googling the word Sloth you would have heard him say ‘California, get your people out of here’ (California SWAT).
Seeing this movie close to when it came out alone as a young lady I was horrified by the Lust killing and the head in the box. For a long time, I hated this movie. But all these years later I really enjoy watching reactions to it. Really good reaction and commentary. Consider watching: Frequency (2000), Ransom (1996), Panic Room (2005) if you haven't already.

I am with you. Though, i am sure Denzel would've killed it as well. No pun intended haha

Makes sense. I think it's really supposed to be purgatory from a thematic sense.
