Hagrid is only half human. His dad was a wizard but his mom was a giant. Not giant as in a human with a growth hormone malfunction. Giant as in the species. His mom abandoned her husband & son when Hagrid was a toddler, as he was a "runt" that wouldn't grow so she was ashamed. In HP world, giants are typically not bright, quite selfish (& some are outright mean, though not all). So...we are not really given any details into why a wizard would be attracted to a female giant or exactly how coitus & conception work in such a relationship. However in book 4 we meet another character that is half giant also, but she is too ashamed to admit it when Hagrid asks her about her own childhood after he talks about his own childhood with his dad. She just keeps insisting she's fully human but big. I guess she was afraid of discrimination based on the reputation of giants, & as headmistress of another magic school it's understandable. After all, the parents must trust her with their children's safety just as others trust Dumbledore with the safety of the kids at Hogwarts.
Average height of a giant is 20ft. They are low intelligence and rely more on emotions, which is most often displayed through violence. Average height of a half-giant is half the height of a giant, 10ft. Hagrid's father was a very smart and kind wizard, but remarkably small in stature. Hagrid inherited his father's magical ability, an intellect capable of reading but challenged by spelling, and a height of only 8ft. Hagrid also has his father's kindness.

Nice Reaction! :)
@@acac92 thank you! 🙏
I have ridden the real train, in Scotland. It was wonderful day trip.
Bucket list for sure!
it's not world building or a mini world model. It's actually a real place and that is in Scotland where they filmed the train scene.
Sorry I was more talking about the world building of the story/wizard world not where they filmed
My opinion is the US publisher was an idiot to change the name. I chose not to read it cause I had no idea what a sorcerer's stone was. Had they left it as it originally was I would have read it as I know what a Philosopher's Stone is.
Yeah that was definitely a strange choice
The guy on the right is a Potterhead yet but doesn't know what house he's in? 😒
@@theshadowfax239 gryffindor of course! Hence the white shirt and red and yellow tie
Good luck. You are good and have decent reactions, but your editing of the video being played needs a lot of work.
Thank you! We are working on it. It can be tough navigating copyright issues. What specifically about the editing bothered you?
Can you React to my lady jane please
We will add it to the list!
Can someone answer me if they're a gay coupe? Cuz if not i dont want to watch.
We are not lol but why would that make you not want to watch?
you're a very weird person, the other comment you left under this video proves how backwards your thinking is. This is not the place for you, bye!
@@joshandcasey please do not respond to comments like this. it's very awkward and people like this don't deserve a response. don't get yourself into trouble with this nonsense.
@@joshandcasey Because very simply I do not want to watch more straight people than I naturally HAVE to. As part of the LGBTQIA+ community you are constantly forced to watch straights everywhere, movies, shows, youtube, twitch every medium is littered with straight people and you do not have a sliver of understanding how life for someone in this community is. All I want is to support people who have a similar lifepath than mine nothing against you two personally I just don't want to watch yet another straight say "uuhh thats gay" or some bullshit akin to that.
@@xhelan131 What is akward is that you have no fucking idea of the reasoning why someone might ask this. maybe if you don't know shit you might want to shut your mouth.
