I made these and they turned out great! I would recommend adding the flour a little at a time to the wet ingredients just because the batter is very thick. Also if no sour cream is available Greek yogurt is a great substitute!

However, since then I've made them twice and they're not coming out good! I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I didn't do anything different. The main problem that's making me want to cry, is that they're sinking in the middle! Please, help, any idea what I'm doing wrong or not doing?? 😑
I'm so sorry I thought my reply posted but now I see it did not. UGH! If your muffins are sinking after baking they may just need a little more time in the oven. ☺

Sugar Spun Run Yes the oven was at the right temperature and was preheated before. I think my oven is just a tad different. I baked it for another 2 minutes and they were perfect!

I would not use buttermilk over sour cream. If you need to substitute the sour cream you’ll want to use Greek yogurt

I honestly haven't tried it as a cake. I think it could turn out. I'd probably bake it on 350, but I'm not sure how long. Enjoy! :)

When I made this i made twelve and baked it at 425 for 8 mins then at 350 for 5 mins and it was raw inside. What did I do wrong?
Hmm that's really odd. Is your oven temperature accurate? Was the oven fully preheated before you put the muffins in?
