Wire Wrapped Pendant - walk through

  • A start to finish walk through on how to wrap this pendant.
    .
Wire used: all dead soft copper
    Frame-
    20g square
    21g half round
    22g half round
(you can use 21 or 22 for both parts on the frame)
    .
    Attachments-
    20g round
    24g round
    28g round
    22g half round
    .
I had no intention originally to upload this to RUclips. This was made for members of a FB group named "wire weaving". It is incredibly choppy because I had to cut so much of my rambling on. I edited out about half of what I recorded.
It is an incredibly amateur video, but I still hope it serves its purpose in helping the people that asked for this.

Your video was not amateurish. It was start to finish. Up close and personal. No music needed except for the voice and instructions of a great teacher. TU so much for giving us your process.

Beautiful piece! This video is a gem in itself. The breakdown of the components you showed, makes this a inspiration for creative thinking. I have seen this piece in my feed since I started wrapping, but didn’t watch (foolishly on my part) because it looked to me, out of my skill level. Of course it was at the beginning. But if I had watched, even when I didn’t have the skills (still learning), it would have taught me so much! Thank you for sharing, your beautiful art ✌️❤️

Extremely helpful. For the figure 8 weave, may I suggest pushing the ends of the guide wires together and continuing the weave, as if you were making a bale? It would cover the 'hole' on the side, making it visually even more pleasing, prevent splaying of the weave in the future and I think it would make it easier to make the wrap happen. Let me know if you try it and how it works for you. I will try some of the other techniques that you showed in this video for myself now.

    • @sethedelinski348
      @sethedelinski348  2 года назад

Thank you. I was really confused by your suggestion. Always open to tips and feedback though so I was trying to understand. The design calls for it to widen on the front to cover all the connections... but are you talking about bending back at the edge of the pendant and narrowing back off to cover the space on that back? Cuz that actually sounds like a good idea. Otherwise though I'm lost lol.
