Absolutely 💯💯💯 they are educated and they bring educated. Not those employ ego to be greatness or lust to be so called "love".
Lmao wtf I think I butt comment on this hahahahahah
@@recondogohome360 nice!
Hey Jocko! I was on the USS Enterprise when we lost the HERO Steven Voight. I recall this vividly as I was TAD on the mess decks of the Enterprise and Seal Team 8s berthing was just below. The Team would come up and hang out with us at night and play cards. They treated us like we were no different and one of the guys. I will never forget when their helo went down. I will never forget when they recovered Steve’s body and we stood at attention when he was brought through the the mess decks towards the medical department. His comrades came up to hang out with us after the accident. We gave them a mutual respect of silence and sympathy. I am shocked, but grateful you knew him and that I also had a chance to meet him and his friends.
Jones I can sell all those you f****** want these I need to keep
As a Commander, he told a Spc. "Thanks, you were right we needed to do this." What an outstanding leader. Also, imagine how those soldiers would feel, knowing that this man is in charge of taking care of their babies, when the worst happens. This is what a hero looks like.
Your absolutely correct! What a leader of men! Funny as hell and seems like a throwback to what makes this country special and one of the best!🤙🛹
The common theme of all of Jocko guests are there focus and there humility...an outstanding gentleman. What a hero.. thank you Major general
One of the finest men I have ever known. Honored to serve with him. NSDQ!
It's true, we take so much for granted in our country. And we forget about those who help to keep us free and safe.
Much respect to Officers like him. Genuinely cares about the troops.
Getting after it and walking the path...thanks Jocko and Echo
Stand by to get some.
Whow I'm glued to this guys stories... jocko is giggling like a kid total respect for this guy... what a legend 😎
Absolutely spectacular guest and conversation. Well done, men!
This mans leadership qualities are incredible. Jocko's quests never seem to amaze me with their awesomeness.
the absolutely best part of some days is when I get notified of a new podcast episode.
Right? I check every 2 days hoping ECHO is on it
I was in high school in Johannesburg in 1975 and general Hutmacher is not exaggerating about the way boys high schools were operated. This is a great interview. Thank you gentlemen.
Love the stay on the path sections please never skip that!
This was 2 & a half hours of pure awesomeness!!
R. Lee Ermey actually *WAS* a Marine Corps drill instructor and Vietnam vet.
And good dude. 👍
Foreigners miss this as easily as Americans get it. The gunny was everything he portrayed but by a factor of ten. What an authentic person. Thanks, Semper Fi, God Bless you!
I don't wanna be disrespectful by saying wise "elderly". I just think that men like Major General Clay Hutmacher are the wise elderly that we need more of in this day and age. Some story tellers, some folks that can install inspiration and wonder, that have lived through some shit and share something that makes you think and laugh and makes you want to learn more and do better and help your people. Not necessarily in the sense of killing someone else, but to be assertive, set boundaries, do what needs to be done, fight through obstacles and don't give in to short-term satisfaction. Obviously this needs wise elderly, of which some may have been supressed under the shadows of today's fast-paced, degenerated lifestyles and the unwillingness of appreciation of such due to the unwillingness of looking what is has actually been going on, but also the next generation to take charge and support their parents and grandparents, honor them, give them an opportunity to feel worthy, support them so they can share their wisdom, and some kind of understanding that what they did was at a certain level of consciousness that may have expressed some cruelty and unnecessary aggressiveness or even the opposite, but that was appropriate at this point in time, and that we can learn from and do better. Personally I feel like there's a lot of power and potential in this!
Stay strong,
Thomas
One of my favorite podcasts. Thank you!
What an amazing interview of an amazing man.
Glad to have a Nightstalker on here. Jocko you gotta get a PJ on sometime
Another nightstalker you mean . . .
Jocko and echo are one of my favourite men in the world. Yous do a great job making me feel safe!!! ☮️❤️
Great Video and truly humbling to this Submariner! God Bless and thank you for highlighting this important mission.
Another amazing episode! Thank you, both, Gentlemen! God Bless!!
Awesome podcast! Gentlemen! Thank you all for your service!
I was a Loadmaster on C-5s and took a 160th element to ArAr just before OIF (GW II). History repeated itself.
This guy has a sense of humor!! I laughed out loud multiple times 😆
Just listened again. GREAT podcast episode! 👊✌
Whatever your background, the Jocko podcast can give you some decent advice to move forward. GET SOME.
No question about it. Very Inspiring
True
I surely am. I have leadership skills and training of various types, but the challenges of life are now at a higher level of difficulty and more serious. My Mexican Captain/paratrooper/assassin died after an accident in January, and I am drawing on his legacy through this, God, and others means to survive my losses. But these principles work in any situation, starting with bravery and character.
Great pod. This guy is hilarious!! Bang bang are these NODS working!
Always the highlight if my work day every Thursday.
Those few seconds prior to the hum of fluorescent lights being snapped on, we're some of the most depressing memories of MCRD PI, for me. I can clearly remember that feeling, right before and thinking "ok so its about 2 hrs until chow time, i can do this"
This is exactly what the Military is missing in leadership these days outstanding interview !!!
Hope you check out Admiral William McRaven and Bill Pozzi. Outstanding is an understatement, but you are right.
I love the advertising at the end, it is so fun.
Outstanding interview. Just love this more & more
"I wish I can hear Steve voice one more time". I would give away my metals, so my brothers would return by my side. Amen
Wow, I was born, raised and still live just south of Everett, Wa. Also fun to hear stuff like that
The General has some real great leadership nuggets in there. Love the story about the incentive PT program.
This is one of my favorites!
I don't know why but the calmness in his voice sounds dangerous.
Great interview, Jocko. You always ask questions that I would never think to ask. This is the first podcast of yours that I have watched in it’s entirety. Needless to say, I subscribed. Good shit brother, keep it up.
There's a LOT of episodes here worth your whole attention, strongly recommend them brother, keep the exploration of Jocko Podcast, there's definitely wisdom waiting for you here. Greetings!
One of the funniest episodes I've watched
These Salty veteran conversations are the best!
RLTW.... Love this channel. Cant believe in 2 days late watching it.
Jocko for President!
Lol I’m 5 min from Ft. Rucker... Funny hearing them bring it up on here even though it’s one of the the largest helo training facilities
This is an awesome story. Even a little more so since I live in Tacoma WA
My dad was Air Force for 23 years, stationed at Eglin AFB/ Hurlburt Fld from 1994 to 1997, pleasure to finally put a face to some of the explosions I would often times fall asleep listening to as a kid. 🤙
It’s depressing how I am an 1/10th of a man of all these guys!! Very inspiring to be better!
R.I.P. for all who served. I will go to Ft.Sam National Cemetery, this Memorial Day, and visit my Dad, and many others who he and I knew. The 1% unfortunately are seldom acknowledged in today’s USA.
@@jeanmariechopin5080 Very strange reply.
@@joelpierce3940 wrong person my bad
Then there’s the other 1% who are oddly measured in both groups. The former AG of Delaware who happened to be in the guard at the time, went to Iraq as administrators often were going, but was not a combat troop. I’ve also never heard any corroborated info that he ever did combat duty. Yet, he was given a Star, a Silver Star, apparently for administratively joining the efforts of our forces who’d been there years ahead of him. His brother has some insider trade deals with the Chinese that total in the millions of dollars, and there are other close family members cashing in from connections made via the big guy himself, the former VP.
@@roymoore3156 There are a lot of REMF’s, and very few actually are in the crap
Get John “Shrek” McPhee on the podcast. Sheriff of Baghdad.
already done
I could listen to the SOB tell stories all day.
When?
"Combat story" just had SOB on his podcast

RADD....Rangers Against Drunk Driving😆😆😆🤘🤘🤘....get some.
At first Jocko thought he was talking about dead Rangers and he was joking about it and I thought in the back of my head, “well that’s distasteful but I guess he just has a twisted sense of humor” lol
@@BostonsF1nest You’d had to have been around a little to understand. You missed it completely.
Yeah, that story was hysterical!
that was hilarous! best story yet >:D....''shredded" means killed right? just making sure
@@roymoore3156 huh
Jocko, to quote 🔱 “ML” You are the real deal. 🇺🇸
I keep wondering if there will ever be a less than stellar episode of the Jocko podcast, and I have concluded it to be completely impossible for that to happen.
It's all that Jocko White Tea
Yaaaassss! It’s Go Time... #jockofuelGo Thank You for the lessons! Love&Light from California 💗💗
Awesome podcast as usual.👍🇺🇸
Can't wait for the socks!
This man is so interesting to listen to.
Looking forward to podcast 818 the Echo Charles prospective. Bless up from Brooklyn NY 🙏 podcast 818 will be EPIC, I have spoken 🙏
Gentlemen, we've got to stay on THE PATH 💪🏾
Impressive individuals. Inspiring.
Funniest General ever. Always loved pilots
I’ve always admired you ✌️
This guy sounds like he would have been an awesome leader to work under
hanger three holla! was there in 96 with the national guard I have pictures somewhere. That is the only time I ever saw a c5 up close! It made a 141 look small
Wow. What a life to have lived. "Get some?" " got most of it"
you know what my favorite part of the way they advertise their stuff is? it always starts with "we're staying on the path by doing jiu jitsu", then they talk about all their supplements and whatever else. but they start with jiu jitsu, which isn't a product that they made. it really shows their priorities, and the message they're trying to convey.
Ju Ju feeds the soul
That’s a powerful opening
What an awesome man! 💪👍👍
This is my number one favorite podcast. I listen to tons of others that are all fantastic, but Jocko Podcast sets the standards and is what all others are compared to. Also, I would love to get some DEA guys on here. For people interested in Fed LE, that would be great to see, plus they did incredible work in Afghanistan and Iraq and they get very little credit for it.
Great show again , echo can we get some more BTF Tony .
I agree 👍. I've really like this podcast.
Thank you
Jocko, you had some SOG, Vietnam and WW2 guys but please have some Korea War guys on here. And more of the WW2/SOG/Vietnam guys as well. Podcast 53 was great, God if only Chew Een Lee or Joe Owen were still alive - maybe you could bring on a Marine from Baker Company or another vet from the Chosin Reservoir?
so many acronyms. dear lord. fascinating
Check that box on the asset column. Thank you. God bless.
Hell yeah brother
Good Stuff!
Great podcast! New camera??
If you’ll notice that the general does not curse once, and Jocko follows suit. Command influence at its best. The only general officer I ever knew that would let loose was LTG Honoré, knew him as LTC for 4/16th 1ID. He would ream his BN when he was pissed. This was an outstanding interview, thank you gentlemen!
They did swear
Ready for the Big Mish.
Damn I’m from marysville Washington one town over from lake stevens
I can only imagine how impactful it is to hear your pilot tell you “ we brought you here, don’t worry we will get you out, that’s a certainty “.
Radical shit.
Real Heros!!!!
Your talking about Ponchos from Mexico Commander Willink, I think its a good idea, id buy one made out of the same material as Orgin gee
Best of the best for the best.
I was going to say on another comment that if you listen to the Jocko Podcast there is something special about you. Idk if normal people want to hear this stuff.
Get after it.
Jocko I am on the path. Buttt I need larger Jeans then are available on origin maine. Bro I want those jeans.
Next Guest Request: DON SHIPLEY
Amazing Story. Amazing Life. This guy for the majority of his adult life chose to serve something greater than himself so that other could be Free. Think on that for a minute.
Jesus I love this podcast
GET SOME!
Cheers.
GOOD..... now LETS GOOO
God Bless!
At 1:40:00 major ang? Is that a podcast?
