    Most men do not want to be dad or father to their mate. If your mate is acting childish, give some opportunities to 1. grow up and own up to it and 2. not repeat it, or consider leaving. Question is do you want a child in an adults body? 11/05/2023

    Saying no to a woman is surely one of the best ways to determine her emotional maturity early on in a relationship. If you always say yes bcos you are blinded by the initial feelings of love you’ve done yourself a big disservice. Maintaining a masculine frame and giving yourself the opportunity to walk away if things don’t change and your standards and values are continually violated should be paramount. Nevertheless, you should show yourself to be emotionally competent and intelligent. As always thank you Anna for another great video. Peace ✌🏿

      I do this very early on with women. No matter their age when they discover I have boundaries, that I day no, or stop, or that I'm not going to white knight as they expect me to, they either explode with rage or have a sulk, and they slip away rapidly. This happens every single time it's gone that far when I first start talking with a woman. I have a three close female friends who have the maturity to spot my boundaries and also see when I put out a gentle hint as to what they are. These women pick up on it and never push it again.
      But I've had men ignore them and have a sulk as a result, and I got rid of them as well.

    Just being a good person has such power. Recently, I had a seminar and I wore wacky tee shirts to the sessions. One woman didn’t like one funny shirt and I was cool with it. By being gracious and not caring about her opinion I empowered myself in that situation. I also realized I had a talent to get people’s attention and to have an opinion about my humor. Years ago an elderly relative who was a beautiful soul would say it’s nice to be nice meaning just be a good dude. It’s powerful advice from a wonderful lady who only went to 8th grade. God bless her.

    I did not get married to be a 'daddy' to my ADULT wife.
    I also did not get married in order to be someone's psychotherapist. I am not.
    I DID get married to be part of a respectable and equal TEAM - to be respected and honored as an equal in the relationship.
    Otherwise, I am much happier and better off alone.

    Nah, if a woman tries that manipulative BS, give her one warning. "If you're going to behave like that, I'm not going to waste any more time on you." The next step is follow through. You're not the woman's father. This applies both ways, as well. If a dude behaves like a child with a woman, she should do the same. Like it or not, if you're handling this with any tolerance, you're encouraging the behavior. No drama, just facts. One warning, then no more.

    • @YourWingmam
      @YourWingmam  7 месяцев назад +1

      A warning is fair. Decide what you're willing to work with or tolerate. Also, make sure you're emotionally mature too. :)

    • @audioelitist3677
      @audioelitist3677 7 месяцев назад

      @@YourWingmam When they behave in a childish manner, they're telling you who they are. They're somebody willing to use selfish manipulative tactics, for the sake of getting what they want out of the situation, regardless of the morality of what they're doing. Granted, people can slip up, which is why you tell them, without mincing words, "I don't play these games, or put up with them." Make no mistake. The minute you start working with their behavior, instead of directly putting a stop to it, you're enabling their behavior. This is an objective fact.
      Emotional maturity isn't something you obtain. It's something you strive for. We never plateau where we're "emotionally mature". At best, we're maturing. This isn't a matter of emotional maturity. It's a matter of right and wrong. If somebody is willing to do wrong to get their way, this is a conscious choice to do wrong, if only for the sake of getting what they want. Regardless of the level of emotional maturation anyone may possess, this is about discernment of right and wrong, the willingness to choose right over ourselves, while having nothing to do with emotional maturation.
      Facts regarding the situation. The person acting out "childishly" is doing the wrong thing. We're responsible for our own actions. We're doing the wrong thing when we act as enablers, instead of directly admonishing wrongful behavior, and demonstrating complete intolerance for such actions. 100% of this situation has everything to do with moral conduct, and not emotional maturity. We find ourselves dealing with such behavior, because of failure to parent.
      I like you're addressing this topic. You'll find everything comes down to a binary choice we're making, that is underlying to every choice pertaining to right and wrong, we make in life. You start to understand a more definitive meaning to life. It takes understanding we're created beings, beholden to a Creator to get this, but it comes down to choosing right, over ourselves, in every choice we make. You'll find all moral choice has this basis. For those with eyes to see, you can follow the choices anyone makes down to this, and discern very quickly, what master someone serves, or if they're capable of love (selflessness/sacrifice). Since I find myself learning from you, it's right for me to share the wisdom I've been allowed. If somebody is not brought up with these understandings, it's unlikely they ever will adopt this discernment, at least where they strive to put it into practice in their own lives, and conduct. Even when there's a father in the home, there's such a deficit of critical information, and moral structure, it's unlikely to find anybody brought up with any understanding, or discipline, along these lines. It's truly horrifying.

All signs of emotional maturity. Is it reasonable though, for women ages 24-34 behave in a similar way ? From what I have seen, not really. This is a good topic to talk about, and sometimes I keep thinking about it. A key point might perhaps be to clearly show how unneedy one is so that she would have no opportunity to latch on in many ways she eventually could if one would be, well, needy. And this has to be made clear right from the very beginning, I mean, how unneedy one is, so that she will find no hold in case of any attempt of resorting to excessively emotional or childish ways of behaving, and that the only reactions she will get will be of an objective and constructive character. A lower way of expressing this would be: "We are grown-ups, so no bullcrap, right?". Well if there are problems stemming from the past and this is not right for her, then ways must be parted. Period.

      @@Rut-vi7iz It's actually the continuation of a conversation which started weeks ago when she cut her very long hair. She mentioned that she was frustrated with the haircut (which was unexpected, since it seemed lovely in the video) and even tried to have it fixed (if memory serves). Now seeing the even shorter style made me wonder if she was trying to fix it yet again. If my comment was offensive to her, I certainly apologize. Not at all! Failing is giving up. It took me over 3 years and 300 videos before anyone liked them enough for RUclips to pay me...but I knew there was value in them. Same goes for you. Take small steps out of your comfort zone until they become comfy. If approaching or talking to women is too big a step, do something else. Take up a new hobby, learn a new skill etc. You have to do things that will make you proud of yourself--for you. Then repeat that process. Also, similar to what JP says about treating yourself like you're someone responsible for helping, make sure your thoughts about yourself are in line with that philosophy as well. Not, I'm a failure, but I'm doing new things and learning etc. You got this!

    Some good examples of these types of behavior (esp from the mens' contrast) are from "Suits" serial: How Harvey Specter and Louis Litt behave toward many plots in the serial. Harvey is that typical alpha male figure (but with a broken family history), while Louis is the opposite who displays so many male childish tantrums. In the end, both evolved to a better person tho.
    I highly recommend to binge-watch it. It's an enjoyable serial that revolves around the life of New Yorker lawyers. I learned many things from it, namely about negotiations, leveraging, being assertive (and not), and so on.

    Dear Anna:
    Well, I have dated my fair share of these women, and that is on me, I made poor choices. What I have definitely changed is that I set up rules and boundaries.
    Temper tantrums will not be tolerated.
    There is a time and a place for everything.
    Arguments will not take days.
    Also, I will not answer to a barrage of texts. If it is important it will be discussed as adults, not teenagers.
    If she wants to act like a brat, she will just see me walk away, I am too old for that now.
    Other than that, great video, great pints and good explanations. I believe women are getting worse in this area because 99% of relationship advice tells us that it is all about her needs, so that actually reinforces her beliefs that it is all about her. That is just a car heading for a cliff.
    How are things going over there in Canada. You know Anna, you are a sexy woman, and not just in appearance, and how classy you present yourself, but you are also intelligent sexy. That is very attractive.

    You’re advice includes too much appeasement. Many women today are brats and are indeed children. It’s not my job to be her daddy and tiptoe around her feelings. It’s just too much. Women are able to control their emotions and act respectfully for 8 hours during work, yet they are given a free pass to act disrespectfully and emotionally at home. They usually show more respect to their boss than to their husband.
    I don’t want to be her daddy, and I don’t want to tiptoe around her out of control emotions. This is a burden that women’s protectors (us husbands and boyfriends) are forced to deal with, and it is a travesty.

    • @YourWingmam

      @GodsMan500 7 месяцев назад

      @@YourWingmam You did say the words, "Don't tiptoe", but the gist of your advice approaches what we men would call tiptoeing. There's too much tentativeness, too much coddling and being afraid to offend. My wife respects me because when I need to, I deal with her with a firm hand. Not always, just when she gets out of line. I'm not afraid to offend "because she's a woman" and because women are emotional. Women behave pretty well at work when the boss is around. Little to no drama. The drama and bratty behavior is reserved for the husband or boyfriend. I always find that dynamic very interesting.
