This could technically be a cheaper way to get a pro controller because your Xbox likely already came with a controller. So the target audience of “pro” gamers are likely to have a controller laying around which means this saves you $100 vs buying an elite controller.

I got mine and after I have Installed it, I notice that it has two big problems: 1. I am not able to use the Power button of Xbox series x controller to power up my Xbox series x console. 2. When I in console menu, I can navigate properly using the stick but if I have selected a game and want to play, I have to press the round button A many times to execute the game. The same goes to shut down the console. I do not have these problems with another Xbox series x controller without the Armor X Pro installed. FYI, I have updated the latest firmware.
I want to know if i can use my headset adapter along side this device so i can keep using my standalone mic i dont really care for macros and what not mainly just want it to change the sticks linear functions and what not.

It has a Switch mode but I haven't tried it. What I have tried and used is the DS4 mode, which is best for PC especially if you have ReWASD. This is because the DS4 controller has Gyro but it also has Analog Triggers (which the Switch doesn't) and it has a trackpad. Obviously the xbox controller doesn't have a trackpad, but what the Armor X Pro can do is map the 4 rear buttons to each corner of a DS4 trackpad. reWASD or other software can then take those and bind them to different buttons, including keyboard buttons, allowing you to for example have a Discord push to talk button on your controller. Unfortunately, even though the DS4 mode can fool a PS4, it doesn't fully work with Steam Input.

Unlike Steam on Windows, the Steam Deck can fully treat the Armor-X Pro as a DS4 controller, so you can bind the paddles through steam input in there. The only issue is Steam input on the Deck only let's you bind left and right trackpad, rather than top left, bottom left, etc. So you're getting 2 paddles out of it, though there is probably a way to make it work as 4 with some tinkering. Of course, since this thing requires a USB dongle, it is only really practical with a Dock on the Steam Deck.
legitimately an awesome piece of tech for controllers. i'm more so keen on the gyro capabilities since after completing Days Gone, i've gotten so use to gyro aiming. My only question is whether you can customize the Gyro function to toggle under a specific button press, example the Left Trigger. if thats possible, i might get this immediately
I have one it works great buuuuttt the head set will not work cause its a dongle and the original method is Bluetooth for a xbox remote. Unless you know another way please share

type C is meta for connecters so theres little chance they will change that anytime soon. as for the model, that shouldnt change either unless its a new series. if there was a new model then your most likely just going to need to buy a new addon.
It does com with it. Without the dongle it does not work on other consoles. all other controller that support multiple controllers need a dongle so you can attach the original controller that comes with the console. It uses that controller as a hanfshake/ verification device.

Will this work with xbox one controllers? Guess is power the controller vis cable to pc rather than connect the Armour -X battery as the Armour connects via dongle anyway. Maybe there is a small usb-c female to usb mini adapter to fit between Armour -X and the xbox one controller?
I suspect that the Armour X has to be connected directly to the controller via the usb connector for it to work. I suspect that it could work if you used a micro USB to USB C adapter with the updated Xbox one controller (the one with with a headphone jack) since that proably outputs similar enough signals to a Series controller
It works with a micro usb to female usb c adapter if you want to give it a shot. Not sure about the Pro version and motion controls since I don’t own that one.
My two cents on the xpro using on xbox series X. It just work!!! . The App is i would say mandatory if you want to use gyro you really want to tune it. Firmware need updating , website have a idiot proof tutorial on firmware upgrade so far i haven't done it and all seem ok . Gyro work and once tuned it just work!!!
Idk tbh but I’ll throw a warning to other players using this for online, if you have a wired headset don’t buy this. In order for your headset to work you need to also plug into the USB-C dongle and whenever I do that I lose all of the functionalities-maybe it’s fixable and I just don’t know the steps but that might also be due to the super ambiguous and unhelpful instructions that come with it.
No recoil option unfortunately, I made the stupid mistake of thinking it was implied for a strike pack (or whatever) controller mod and was disappointed. Also if you’re using this for cod I’d note that I haven’t been able to use any of the features whatsoever with it plugged into the dongle, which is apparently necessary for wired headsets. I was thinking of getting a wireless one anyway but I’m thinking of returning this product.
I play pubg mobile with gyro, And atleast 95-98% of our clan member uses gyro for presice aim- Its not a gimmick 😶 Just need some time for muscle memory to capture.
Thank you for the review, unfortunately , emulators does not support mapping or other buttons configuration rather than the one built in in the emulator mapping layout, also the gyroscope will not work :( what you will get while playing games using emulators is the standard setting of the original controller , no matter what you have modified externally using apps or rewasd , it will function as a standard controller upon opening the emulator ..
Just got mine today. Pretty disappointed. If you have an Android phone, the app is completely non-functional. It literally looks like a mock up, that has not been developed or coded yet. And when I say it is not functional, I mean that it literally will not allow you to even select the device. The device itself works, but half the reason to buy the thing is to use the app. I'm sure they will develop it at some point soon, but they should not advertise that it has a working android app, as this is blatantly false.

Try to download from official website, not the Google play version and also manually allow Bluetooth in settings, because they had something with Google not approving their app because of permissions PS. Not working rn for android 13 for me( Update: Google play version works with Android 13 now
Viewed this already. The cost is to high. You ae better off getting a $100 Xbox gambit controller with 4 paddles. I have had may pro controllers and customize my own, the gambit is my favorite pro controller so far! The one year ganestop extended warranty is only $17 for the Gambit. Spend the extra $40 and get the only pro controller that has nice silicone face with built in anti-frictuon rings that make the thumbsticks feel so smooth. It's hard for me to go back to a standard controller now.
Most people are probably getting this for the gyro capability. I come from mobile gaming and this is a huge product for me haha. Going to pick this up as soon as possible. My accuracy on analog needs a LOT of work compared to my gyro skills 🤣

How to change speed of turbo?
I want this primarily for the paddles. Will there be a risk of using this just for the paddles instead of the extra....functions that it allows??
There won't be any but if you just want the paddles and nothing else then you can get the non pro version.

it depends on the emulator, and gyro will work on all apps depending on how you have it configured

Got one and it does actually work. Sadly, if you have android, the app does not work to allow you to fine tune the gyro.
