when the microprocessor is at 50% it means the game or application is using 100% of the physical cores... if it uses more than 50% it means that is using 100% of physical cores plus the "threaded" cores available.
Yeah no it really isnt using allmost nothing i inspect all cores and its using all like 30 max and gpu is jumping from 30 to 50 usage no matter what settings i put or what resolutions i use

Interesting. On my rig, CS2 spreads the usage on all threads, so it isn't maxingout only 1 or 2 threads, overall there is a usage of ~40% of my 12 threads. GPU utilization is around 85 - 90% most of the time with the settings I've mentioned above. Lowest settings possible + 1024x768 will give me an extra of around 20 - 30 FPS avg and around 10 - 20 FPS more in P1% and about 10 FPS more in P0.2%, but GPU usage gets to around 50 - 60%. There is 100% a bottleneck related to the CPU. Overall I am happy with the performance I get on this game, taking in consideration that it looks much better than CSGO. Though they could do something to improve more the performance. Though I have to say that since it's first beta release and until now, performance improved a bit and got more stable. Though they still have to find a fix for AMD GPUs (shader stuttering) as they have stated in their last patch note. For the ones that have CPUs from 10 years ago, I don't think that there is too much hope, especially the ones that have i3 and i5 2nd - 4th Gen, so they shoud do something to upgrade their hardware.

i played csgo at 30 fps all settings lowest possibpe, lowest resolution. now that they replaced it with cs2 i get 2fps on lowest settings and was not playable, so i had to give up and delete the game.

It could just be that one processor thread executes the instructions fast enough to be in line with other PC components. It would happen if your system was GPU-limited but it's not loaded at 100% so it's not the case. So it should be either RAM or something else which slows the performance down. Check your RAM's frequency and whether it's installed in the dual-channel mode (two sticks are not next to each other if there are 4 slots). It's not the game issue because on my system multiple CPU threads are used by the game, so it's not single-threaded by design.
Wish I could post a link to screenshots I have tried so many times I am probably on RUclipss watchlist The algorithm is probably going to climb through my window tonight and do "what must be done". Streamers & RUclipsrs with their fps capped and pegged @ 200, 240, 300, 360 all experience a 50% loss of fps when getting shot sometimes. These particle effects are either too expensive and/or unoptimized.

Try the -vulkan launch option, this helped me remove all the stutters. Also disable Nvidia low latency stuff in game and control panel if you’ve set those.
U can get all the physical cores of the cpu peforming on this game if u go to properties->launch options "-novid -tickrate 128 -high -threads 6"(or how many physical cores u have)

CS2 is badly optimized. Valve needs to work hard on that. Also if you're looking to build a PC for CS2,make sure it has the new Ryzen x3d CPU. The reason is the L cache is about 3 times more than that of the older Ryzen CPU's...For instance Ryzen 5 5600 has 36 mb of L cache,while the Ryzen 5 5600x3d has 96 mb of L cache....
Can you check with forcing multicore rendering? Threaded optimization setting in nvidia control panel does that for you, try to set it to "on". Im too lazy to check, but if you do, im happy with that:)

I have a radeon 6600, and a 5700x. I can run Apex at 220fps, Valorant at 390fps, and Overwatch at 190fps. I played Csgo for a few weeks and i could push 290 to 350 fps. Now with CS2 i can barely push 115 fps and its not enjoyable in the slightest. Ive watched every video on getting more frames in cs2 but after all the settings and computer settings copied i still cant get cs2 past 125 frames... is there a way to put the load onto multiple cores instead of just 1 or 2?
I have the same card, and if you go to steam and see the patch notes of 10/2/2023 it say that they have problems with AMD cards, and are working on it, so maybe it is a matter of time.

The real question is if Windows 10/11 if messing with core affinity. If the scheduler is being overused by one application, or bottlenecking, you couldn't control for this with SMT on or off.

Hi bro! u have to put -Threads X (number of cores +1) in my case it would be -Threads 9 (8 core 16 threads cpu) It works for me. or you can Type Sys_Info in console and in line that says "Engine Thread pool" it might say your number of Cores. hope it helps u!

it's so annoying when I had such consistent FPS that was higher than my refresh rate, ranging from 300-400 average. On CS2, it's 230 FPS most of the time on maps like Ancient and I'm on 240hz. It feels so laggy and unsmooth

Removing blood on deathmatch servers gave +50fps ish so there really is something about that high res blood particles

There is a hz setting on the first page of the videosettings. Maybe it‘s on 60hz

Because the game has terrible 1% lows. Meaning, 1% of the time, the FPS is way under your refresh rate probably, thus causing it to feel choppy.

If you can try to upgrade your cpu to r7 5800x3d. Cs2 engine really likes extra 3d cache so it should give you a nice performance boost
