Z seemed like he had the power to destroy the world, some thing Pnuema and Malos needed the assistance of a powerful mech to do, so how come Alvis seems so much stronger? It took the power of three Monados to rewrite the world, so I don't think it's just because he has his Monado.

In theory they are all equally as strong and being connected to the conduit means they could not only destroy the world but universe(s) even without mechs. Z is so strong cuz he's in aionios and has control over origin basically like having access to admin

I’ve been a Rex fan from Day 1 and I’m so proud and happy to see him all grown-up and seeing his glow-up! Shulk also looks great and the new characters all look amazing so far!
In XC3 they did say that house Doyle (?) and house Vandham were *siblings* and the statue said she disapeared and was reunited later. So yeah. We know that Matthew had a sister since XC3 proper.
I think Z called Alvis “my god,” so he might be the administrator of Aionios like he was for XC1, or the merged world? In any case, Alvis definitely got up to some stuff.
I think Glimmer and Nikol are definitely the kids of Rex and Shulk, respectively, but it might be similar to how base game XC3 handled that type of relationship. Where the audience knows it but the kids themself aren’t really aware of who their parents are, due to the way Aionios brings all their data in. The few scenes here, especially the one with Nikol and Shulk, really seem like the parent is admiring who their kid has become while the kid doesn’t seem to really notice or care about the parental relationship.
I’m pretty sure Z is calling Alvis “My God” which means that he’s asking Alvis if he wants to wipe everyone out. This also makes sense as to why Z is on our side for this. His goal is to have the Eternal Now, the endless loop and he can’t exactly have that if Alvis just kills everyone. Alvis’ true name is Antos

The Kevesi boy is Shulk and Fiora's kid, if you look at his promotional art you'll notice he has both Shulk and Fiora's hair flips; also, his eyes are green like Fiora's. That green location is Colony 9, the location in which Matthew and A are fighting N is Prison Island.

The liberator's base of operation that Shulk is talking about looks identical to the new Colony 9 we saw briefly at the end of Xenoblade 1 and at the start of the Future Connected where it was now located on a small continent or an island that was right next to the remains of the Bionis.
This DLC couldn’t have come at a worse time for me. All my possible plans for the next several weeks have been upended because NOW I need to drop everything and play this first to avoid spoilers. I would have almost preferred waiting another month or two. XD

Rewatching, I think that scene with Alvis, Rex, Shulk, and Z is the first thing to happen chronologically and might be how Z hijacks the whole system, it is probably the convergence of the worlds, something I suspect Rex and Shulk tried to stop and unwittingly allowing Z to take over. Later on, we see Rex lost an eye, and Shulk lost his arm (things their statues in XB3 showed) but that is not the case in that scene, it might even be the scene they lose them, but regardless, it implies that scene is very early on. I suspect when they were trying to stop the end of the world, and when Z manifested, he also stated he wanted to stop the destruction, and unaware of what he would twist the world into, they defeated Alvis together leading to Z creating Aionis in the aftermath, leaving Rex and Shulk trapped in the ruins.
Either alvis piped or it's some sort of reincarnation, also nihal gets his own alvis makeover later so that might be kinda like zanza reincarnating into shulk's body...
It's so messed up that N probably killed his and Mio's kid for his Endless Now deal with Z. Also, Glimmer has 1000% got to be Pyra's daughter, which begs the question what about Mythra? My guess she has the Flame Clock tattoo depicted how long she's got so she's probably a clone of the original and maybe they're still in Origin as data? But what about Shulk and Rex? So many theories, but soon to be answered.
The catgirl with the Consul getup near the end is Na'el, Matthew's sister, so Noah and Mio's great grand daughter (the grand daughter of the old guy killed by N in the intro). She's a different person from "A", your party member, the healer with long white hair and a katana monado. As to why both Na'el and A have Alvis' Core Crystal on their getup, no idea. We'll have to play the game to see.
My thoughts extended from current popular theories among Japanese and Taiwanese fans of the series: Gondo: grandpa of Matthew (and probably the son of the original Noah and Mio.) A: the real (or remain of) Alvis. Gender is irrelevant due to the trinity processors not even being human. Homura also said she chose the look that would easily get along with people, meaning she can be a he if needed. Nikol: son of Shulk and Fiorun caught in the loop. Glimmer: daughter of Rex and Homura caught in the loop. Her original Japanese name is Kagiroi, probably derived from Kagerou, a Japanese mythological term meaning "flame of the Sun." What's more, her Japanese voice over was done by the same actress who did Homura, Hikari and Pneuma. Rick: WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I don't think the figure in the end is Consul A, I think it's just some fusion between Na'el and Alvis somehow. Na'el being given Alvis's powers or something. Because she doesn't just have a 'Consul outfit', she's got those little Monado-looking intrusions on her back. The OG Monado, like what Alvis uses.
A becomes Consul A and transfers her core crystal to Nael. The statue says that she eventually commits fully to the fight and she is the actual Ouroboros pairing with Matthew so it makes sense that she replaces A in the battle party slot.
Also like how Riku is right there, as Nikol is fixing up Shulk a robotic arm. Common variety Nopon btw. Pfft, my ass. Also Pyra and Mythra amiibo release dates announced, and Noah and Mio amiibo coming as well.
Isn't Nile (the girl with cat ears) the Founder of House Doyle? In the plaque under her statue it did say that her and the Founder of House Vandham were like siblings but they never specify if they were actually siblings for sure. Because you know, after centuries that kind of information gets lost
It looks like the order of combos are now Break > Topple > Launch > Burst. All of the “combo move” arts are Burst. Unless Glimmer has both Daze and Smash, no one has those two arts. We also see the enemy get Bursted shortly after Hellstream finishes.
There is still the recent champion from the prior update that I believe you didn't do a video of. Given how this is looking to be a separate story mode from the main game, like with the prior games, you would need to cover the new champion separately from the story DLC, which for us will be only an hour tops, but for you will be much long due to all the grinding you will have to do to get to the ascension quest, that is if you will try out the new champion and record it.
I think the part I’m confused about is that there seems to be like… 3 people who could be Ontos just running around somehow, Winged Alvis, A, and what seems to be masked Na’el? I DONT get it
Okay, what in the FUCK is happening with the red aegis core? Alvis has one around his neck, A has one as an earring, and at the end Na'el has it IMBEDDED in her chest where she normally has a flesheater crystal. Alvis and A's are identical and more ornate than usual, the one Na'el has looks straight from the trinity core...
I hope there's still some kind of epilogue thing where we see Noah, Mio, and everybody because I still really care about them. That being said, everything about the story DLC is looking FIRE.
Mathew looks a ton like N and Nael looks like Mio they could very well be related also that scene you were asking about is clearly the remains of colony 9.
all I want is an eventual lets play of Xenoblade Chronicles X so Nico can experience my personal favorite XC game but sadly this while distract him a while yet
Everyone missing Sharla's kid. Same, skin, eyes, hair and color clothes so related for sure. She's the one pointing a sword at Pyra's kid and says "the clockless". That's Fiora's kid for sure because same color hair and eyes (Fiora's hair is a different hue from Shulk's) and he looks like Shulk with his old goggles. So many questions and can't wait
Hopefully people will also soon notice that she’s alive at one point, destroyed in another, absent during all of the combat, and then returns in a new get-up. :) And maybe after that they’ll notice that the trailer includes zero makina or high entia. AKA we cannot yet tell when this happens in their evolution.
A has the Shaker Edge art which is something Malos uses, 'Vision' as a Talent Art, and Cross Ray which is one of Alvis' arts in the limited time he's controllable in Makna. There has to be some connection between A and Alvis/the Monado. But oh man, I wasn't expecting this to drop so suddenly, and so SOON! I'm gonna have to finish off my XC3 postgame file all quick-like!

I suspect when they were trying to stop the end of the world, and when Z manifested, he also stated he wanted to stop the destruction, and unaware of what he would twist the world into, they defeated Alvis together leading to Z creating Aionis in the aftermath, leaving Rex and Shulk trapped in the ruins.

It's so messed up that N probably killed his and Mio's kid for his Endless Now deal with Z. Also, Glimmer has 1000% got to be Pyra's daughter, which begs the question what about Mythra? The catgirl with the Consul getup near the end is Na'el, Matthew's sister, so Noah and Mio's great grand daughter (the grand daughter of the old guy killed by N in the intro).
She's a different person from "A", your party member, the healer with long white hair and a katana monado.
As to why both Na'el and A have Alvis' Core Crystal on their getup, no idea. We'll have to play the game to see.
My thoughts extended from current popular theories among Japanese and Taiwanese fans of the series:
Gondo: grandpa of Matthew (and probably the son of the original Noah and Mio.)
A: the real (or remain of) Alvis. Gender is irrelevant due to the trinity processors not even being human. Homura also said she chose the look that would easily get along with people, meaning she can be a he if needed.
Nikol: son of Shulk and Fiorun caught in the loop.
Glimmer: daughter of Rex and Homura caught in the loop. Her original Japanese name is Kagiroi, probably derived from Kagerou, a Japanese mythological term meaning "flame of the Sun." What's more, her Japanese voice over was done by the same actress who did Homura, Hikari and Pneuma.

I don't think the figure in the end is Consul A, I think it's just some fusion between Na'el and Alvis somehow. Na'el being given Alvis's powers or something. Because she doesn't just have a 'Consul outfit', she's got those little Monado-looking intrusions on her back. The OG Monado, like what Alvis uses.
A becomes Consul A and transfers her core crystal to Nael.
The statue says that she eventually commits fully to the fight and she is the actual Ouroboros pairing with Matthew so it makes sense that she replaces A in the battle party slot.

It looks like the order of combos are now Break > Topple > Launch > Burst. All of the “combo move” arts are Burst. Unless Glimmer has both Daze and Smash, no one has those two arts. We also see the enemy get Bursted shortly after Hellstream finishes.

There is still the recent champion from the prior update that I believe you didn't do a video of. Given how this is looking to be a separate story mode from the main game, like with the prior games, you would need to cover the new champion separately from the story DLC, which for us will be only an hour tops, but for you will be much long due to all the grinding you will have to do to get to the ascension quest, that is if you will try out the new champion and record it.

A has the Shaker Edge art which is something Malos uses, 'Vision' as a Talent Art, and Cross Ray which is one of Alvis' arts in the limited time he's controllable in Makna. There has to be some connection between A and Alvis/the Monado.
