Monolith Soft managed to do something that a lot of recent movies, game and TV shows failed to do (looking at you Lucasfilm), giving two beloved legacy character a proper send off.
That scene at the end of the credits was the ending of the base game. The two worlds separate but eventually become one again. During the very last cutscene from the base game, young Noah hears a flute and the flute gets louder and louder. If you play the two ending cutscenes together, you’ll see the flute starts playing at the same time the 2 worlds start combining. And the flute reaches peak volume when the 2 worlds have become one. Which means, the flute that young Noah heard wasn’t his imagination, that really was Mio.
Seriously, Monolith Soft is probably Nintendo's greatest acquisition ever. They took a chance on them and in the end, they probably got one of hell of a studio. Monolith impresses with what they pull off on Nintendo's hardware every time. And not only that but they've helped Nintendo with a number of their projects as well. It's insane that this studio that wasn't really ever given a chance to shine, is now shining so brightly. Seriously Nintendo, thank you for having faith in Monolith Soft.
Alpha was the Avatar of Aionios. He was keeping the world together. A, Shulk, and Rex replaced Alpha as the Avatar so the world wouldn’t be destroyed until someone resets origin. But of course every now and then annihilation events would happen
And from what I understand annihilation events are the result of the opposite energies of each world canceling each other, because the world of Aionios is not exactly paused in the middle of the collision of both worlds, but very strongly slowed down in the event.
When Rex says " If only they were here" and "I don't think they would bat an eyelash at helping", he's referring to Logos and Pneuma as the camera pans towards N's sheath, which looks to have traces of Logos's core crystal, and Matthews Fists of the End, which has Pneuma's core crystal.
It sounds logical, but I wonder how did N got Logos? This raises some questions: How did Logos reappeared or survived? Logos was within Noah's sword even before becoming Moebius N or after? How did Ghondor (Noah's son) got the fists with Pneuma's core? Also, Rex implied both Logos and Pneuma would support the idea of "all live being worth saving", if this is the case, then how and why Logos's opinion change? (in case it is the same Malos from XC2, if not then the question is why does this new Logos think like that?).
@@danielmunoz1275 Sorry about the late answer In Xenoblade 2 is explained that all the trinity cores have partial back up of the other two cores in case of a loss. Malos was able to recover after his battle with Torna thanks to Pyra's core. Also, all the cores have an original personality before awaken as BLADES which was raised in a VR world. Both Malos and Pyra/Mythra are the result of that original personality and aspect they took from their drivers. My personal theory is that Pneuma was somehow able to partially recover Logos from the backup she had. If that Logos is still Malos or not is unknown.
@carlosalfonsotorrescorona8105 I've seen crazy theories about the next game in the series. One of them states that Logos could make a comeback as a playable character/companion. (In case we ever see the character, I hope it's a male to shake things up; however, I wouldn't mind if it's another female just to round up the family with all girls except Rex).
I interpret that as Noah leaving behind the fight for good and embracing the "moving forward" motto. Now that I know Pneuma is there, I want to choke Noah with my own hands in that scene hahahahaha.
The reason Alvis is a girl is because Ontos is the arbitor. Pneuma is a Female Logos is a Male. In order to settle debates as the arbitor Ontos needed to be fluid, it needed to be able to understand both side. So when manifesting it can take on either a Male or Female persona. In XC1 Zanza decided Ontos was a male so that is how he formed.
A single radio broadcast made the biggest lore drop ever to tie in Xenoblade and Xenosaga. Xenoblade X is not linked at least yet to the mainline games and because of Square Enix being Square Enix, Xenogears is just lightly referenced. Also Na'el claiming Klaus' world to be perfect while in the background they're discussing how the government has blocked a bill regarding human rights, I love Xenoblade.
that ending credits made me cry so hard after months of preparing for future redeemed and finding my new favourite game of alltime xenoblade 2 can't believe it's already over
it is heavily implied that Malos' core was residing in N's sheath when Rex said to A before passing on "if it was *them* i don't think they'd bat an eyelid at helping" and then the camera pans over to N's sword and Matthew's fist, meaning he was talking about Logos and Pneuma
Lucky seven and N's sword is made of Origen metal. Origen itself is based of Onthos's core. Pnuma's core was inside of Matthew's fists and Noah's gontlet/ sheath fore Lucky seven. Logos's core ot at the wery least the data of Logos's core was inside of N's sheathe (mabe even all of Mobius has fragments of Logos's data powering them up). When N drew out his sword he had embewed his sword that is based of Onthos's core with the data of Logos's core and when Matthew struck the sword with Pnema's core, he compleated the trinity prosessor fore the first time of possebly over a 100000 years and basicly factory resett Onthos deleating Alpha.
The ending had me in tears! These games are so amazing! I just got into them just a year ago and when I first played XC1 I fell in love. Even XC2 and 3 I love those games as well. All three games are just beautiful with great stories and great characters. I wish I got into these games sooner and I was sad to see each one end! Thank you Monlithsoft for these wonderful games! ❤
The leading theory I've seen about Pneuma and Logos cores is that it isnt the actual Logos core. Instead, it's one of the Pneuma cores (either Pyra or Mythra) simulating the power of Logos to complete the Trinity Processor. Pneuma, the Master Blade, possesses the data of all blade cores, but there's never an instance in Xenoblade 2 where Pneuma effectively recreates an entire core crystal from thin air. She struggled just to fix Jin's core. Pyra and Mythra's cores are each tied to Lucky Seven / Sword of the End, which is why Matthew clashing with N's sword forms the Ouroboros when fighting Alpha. The Ouroboros power itself is a simulation of the the fusion between Pyra and Mythra being extended to everyone in Aionios, which is why everyone can unlock the Ouroboros power if exposed to its light. Nia also created the Ouroboros stones with her core to act as an amplifier of awakening the Ouroboros power, which was perfected by Nikol and Riku. Matthew's gauntlets were passed down to him by Ghondor, who we can assume likely worked with Nia in the past since he already had access to the Ouroboros power at the start of Future Redeemed, which is how he likely got the Pneuma core to put inside the gauntlets. The other explanation could be that he took the Pneuma core left inside N's sword that was left behind when N died (go watch the cutscene, it gets left behind after he vanishes), and eventually split into two when Melia created Lucky Seven. To prove this even further, when unlocking Nia as a hero, she has BOTH Aegis swords as part of her power, not Pneuma and Logos. The other proof in this is that when N and Noah fuse back together, only 1 sword remained, because both Pneuma cores fused back together... If Logos' core WAS inside N's sheath, then it would imply that Logos core either fused with Pyra and Mythra when N and Noah fuse back together (which... would be weird) or the core just poofed somewhere else. I really doubt Takahashi would ruin the integrity of his own story in Xenoblade 2 just to bring Malos/ Logos back, especially since it would diminish the entire purpose of Pneuma's sacrifice if Aegises could just poof themselves back into existence without any established rules.
That blue star is supposed to be KOS-MOS, so maybe Xenosaga Episode 4? I heard about the theories about that blue star there. Speaking of Xenosaga, I know in the menu right when you start the game's software, press the plus button and into Intellectual Property Notices has the Xenosaga and Bandai Namco Entertainment are listed there.
Noah has both Pneuma and Logos. Think the red is his original blade aka "Pneuma". While Lucky Seven is aka "Logos". So Noah threw both Pneuma and Logos into the ocean
Don't think logos is lucky seven, more like he's the sheath of N. Meaning that during N/noah's merge logos got destroyed/lost and pneuma got thrown away because it( the sword) has too much power [ like in their original game]
@@daikaichis6229 nah, lucky seven itself is made of remnants of logos’ core and the actual sheath is made of pneuma, when pneuma and logos react together they create ouroboros like we saw in the final battle against alpha (the fists of the end didn’t have logos just pneuma), riku constructs lucky seven out of some of logos and turns the fists of the end into a sheath
riku is most likely just his og universe version just like melia, nia, shulk, rex, panacea and linka, making all of them immortal, same goes for the rest of the nopon smiths all aged as "???"

On 5th Jerusalem in Xenosaga Episode II and III, there is, too, a space elevator with marked similarities to what all we have seen here and before. I'm not gonna throw everything here but yeah, although we don't know what really happened to Pyra and Mythra during the transition to Origin or how they managed to recreate Logos' core crystal if it got destroyed after defeating Malos. We now know that Pneuma's core was within Matthew's gauntlets all this time and later Noah's sword sheath and Logos's core is within N's sword. We also know that only by clashing both cores, Urovoros finally gets a physical form. Contrary to Moebius, Urovoros struggled getting a physical form thanks to the fact both rely on emotions. Moebius is fear, uncertainty and Uroboros is hope, hope that only got stronger thanks to the people of the city that grew larger and larger with the new generations. How much time has passed since Aionios ceased to be and the worlds fused (or interlinked ;) ) to become one, we don't know but KOS-MOS finally reached Lost Jerusalem. Some cool trivia are: - The Radamanthus artificial island (The california looking city at the end) looks A LOT like Xenosaga's Fifth Jerusalem. - Philadelphia-Class Mothership is the same kind of ship used in Xenogears - Dmitri Yuriev from the Minos is a villian from Xenosaga that has the ability to transfer his soul to a new body in order to achieve inmortality. If they end up making some retcons, he can be the same character in both Xeno series. - The Radio was manufacured by Vector Industries, creators of KOS-MOS and discoverers of the Conduit in Kenya.
Yes it's implied logos for the sword. Rewatch when Rex says "Them" to A. The camera zooms in on the purple sword then the emerald fist. When he says if those 2 were here its most likely not Pyra/Mythra but pneuma and logos.
@@MaximumCarnage- Video game translations are not made with lousy and vague directives from the editors, even with Indie games (wich I did work on as a translator). It's actually very detailed, even with remaster or remake. (The french version of OoT 3D for example had various tiny changes on random dialogue to make it feel less familiar because Nintendo thought it would be more fitting.) Takahashi is very concern about his lore and the meaning he put behind his text, so there's no way he didn't give any precise directives on the translation doc, especially for an ending scene. Plus, the gender is usually one of the center of the attention for the editors when they give directives about translation, since the meaning of the pronouns and even nouns are different dependant of the localization. It's always adress to the localization. As a translator, If there one thing in this scene I know the editors did gave instruction, it's this line.

Clearly did not listen to the message “Taking a breather!” They are not gone, just becoming part of the trinity process, in short the batteries of the world But I guess emotions cloud the truth Like it was not always clear N may very well have possessed the Malos Core in his own sword of end But that is the Future of the Klara Saga, filled with questions but amazing moment. Like, does everyone retain their memories of the world restarts? And will even the descendants be born but not as people connected to blood? And Rex Third Kid, that one need to be relevant in next game. And so we will see. With lifespans of wondering if they even will exist in next games or just pre of future games A future connected indeed. Still, the Japanese version is still what I prefer to Hear
I beleve that at the wery end when the two worlds re merge agen that some time pases before they merge. That the worlds stay seperate fore mabe 5 years? 10 years at the wery top. Giving monolyth soft a chanse to mabe put in a smaler torna/ future redeemed siced story in each seperate world. o Or that in the next game the worlds start off seperate, but then merge at some point thrugh the story.

Some cool trivia are:
- The Radamanthus artificial island (The california looking city at the end) looks A LOT like Xenosaga's Fifth Jerusalem.
- Philadelphia-Class Mothership is the same kind of ship used in Xenogears
- Dmitri Yuriev from the Minos is a villian from Xenosaga that has the ability to transfer his soul to a new body in order to achieve inmortality.
No, in other localisations, it's translated "she" as plural. In french for example it's "elles" (plural of "elle" = she)
@@IceDarkBen localization problem. Not in Japanese so yes its implied
@@MaximumCarnage- Video game translations are not made with lousy and vague directives from the editors, even with Indie games (wich I did work on as a translator). It's actually very detailed, even with remaster or remake. (The french version of OoT 3D for example had various tiny changes on random dialogue to make it feel less familiar because Nintendo thought it would be more fitting.)
Takahashi is very concern about his lore and the meaning he put behind his text, so there's no way he didn't give any precise directives on the translation doc, especially for an ending scene.
Plus, the gender is usually one of the center of the attention for the editors when they give directives about translation, since the meaning of the pronouns and even nouns are different dependant of the localization. It's always adress to the localization.
As a translator, If there one thing in this scene I know the editors did gave instruction, it's this line.
@@IceDarkBen dude there are still localization errors all the time. Sometimes it's to "adjust the content to the western audience". Takahashi isn't involved in all translations dude. get over it
@@IceDarkBen Takahashi is very deliberate. He DID NOT pan and ZOOM the camera to the Sword and Fist at that EXACT moment for nothing. Everyone says its implied logos and pneuma. Get over yourself lol
"Time to reboot your ass!"
love it
I just love the legend of Zelda I'm going to the midnight release
Its Scala Ad Caluem all over again.
Just a question for you, HMK. Have you ever watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann before?
Xenopeak!
Thus ends...The Klaus Arc.
We finally have the right Aionios
Clearly did not listen to the message
“Taking a breather!”
They are not gone, just becoming part of the trinity process, in short the batteries of the world
But I guess emotions cloud the truth
Like it was not always clear N may very well have possessed the Malos Core in his own sword of end
But that is the Future of the Klara Saga, filled with questions but amazing moment.
Like, does everyone retain their memories of the world restarts? And will even the descendants be born but not as people connected to blood? And Rex Third Kid, that one need to be relevant in next game.
And so we will see. With lifespans of wondering if they even will exist in next games or just pre of future games
A future connected indeed.
Still, the Japanese version is still what I prefer to
Hear

Suddenly I felt I was playing Fallout 4 before the nuclear war lmao
This is DLC of the year. Rex and shulk's sacrifice is continuing to scar me but overall, im hella confused about so much of this DLC
Immaculate DLC
So what you’re saying……is that the Lucky Seven/Xenoblade was the friends we made along the way?

终于等到你
I beleve that at the wery end when the two worlds re merge agen that some time pases before they merge. That the worlds stay seperate fore mabe 5 years? 10 years at the wery top. Giving monolyth soft a chanse to mabe put in a smaler torna/ future redeemed siced story in each seperate world. o
Or that in the next game the worlds start off seperate, but then merge at some point thrugh the story.
Can someone explain how rex and shulk still alive and if why are they dead I am confused
Those Nopons are dead.
