Spectra is such a unique doll with her chiselled face sculpt and the translucent hands, and I think you absolutely did her justice!
Her makeup and styling is exceptional and now I'm dying to see you do Elissabat in a similarly romantic gothic style

She looks like a Victorian-era teenager who became a ghost and adapted her clothes to the modern era as well as she could 😍 She's so beautiful!
As an aside, I discovered your revamp series a few months ago, and although I don't have any nostalgia related to the Monster High doll line, it has become one of my favourite video series to decompress and be inspired by, the level of dedication you have for your craft makes me want to work on my own crafts and art projects ☺️
I always thought the chains represented her spirit being 'chained' or tethered to this world and her inability to pass on when she died. This version of her feels both warmer and more sorrowful, and I love that combination. It's always wonderful to see you post
chains are also just a very common prop for ghosts, and ghosts scaring people by rattling chains are staples in fiction, espexially urban legends regarding old prisons and such, i love how the original spectra used balls on chains as heels for her shoes!
When i was younger i thought that she was some type of princess and she died chained in a tower or something so her ghost form got the chains from that LOL

This was my most anticipated restyle of this series and you didn’t disappoint I love her amazing work
Spectra's revamp turned out STUNNING. I love the sorrowful, longing look and dress. I personally would have done big chonky pigtail curls for her hair, but that's just me. She turned out great. The chains added a nice touch of contrast to all that purple.

oh my goodness she looks amazing! I love how your revamps don't completely change the character but rather expand upon what was already there. It shows that you have a true love for the characters, and as a huge MH fan I really appreciate it. As for season 2 of your series there are so many ghouls it's hard to choose. I would love to see your revamp of toralei, venus, rebecca, or operetta. I think it would also be cool to see a revamp of one of the guys like deuce or clawd(but I also understand that the guys are harder to come across and aren't for everyone). Regardless of what characters you choose for season 2 I am super super super excited!!!

Spectra has always been a favorite of mine since I was little, and I love how she looks, so breathtaking. The dress is adorable and I love her hair, you did a fantastic job
She’s gorgeous! Her face looks so sorrowful, and I noticed in all the shots of her she never seems to be looking right at the camera due to her eye pose and I think that’s such a cool effect! If I had to die and haunt a high school for all eternity, I might be a little less sad if I looked as pretty as her!

Wow! As a big fan of spectra this is incredible! The emotion in her face tells a great story about a melancholic ghost just as it should! And the clothing choice makes her seem more like she died in a historical era, maybe the Victorian era, while still being as fashionable as the rest of the ghouls. And aside from her character details, she just looks gorgeous! The purples are amazing and her hairstyle is so unique and perfect 😍 In love with this doll!
for as much trouble as the eyes gave you, I think the faceup turned out great :’) this is probably my favorite doll of the series so far, next to Frankie 👻
The funny thing is that Spectra was one of my favorite characters since she did so much content in writing. I was a kid back then, and I'm absolutely happy you did her so much. Years later, I'm writing tales that have such vivid imagination. If Spectra were real and all grown, she'd definitely gossip about any amazing books she's come across from time to time.😆

I love that you try something and aren't afraid to re-do things if you aren't happy, but then at the same time accept that you can't always get things perfect or a hundred percent what you envisioned. It really helped me in my creative process! Also the colors for this doll are fantastic and so beautiful!
i loveee this revamp of spectra! the way you did her face up is so interesting! with her expression, any position you angle her head gives a new emotion. i also like her outfit- i find it similar to elissabat, who has a similar color scheme

i adore the finished hair, but at 12:36 the way the hair is standing up all over is so cool looking, like a poltergeist! the faceup is the most stunning part, you pulled off the distant, sad look so well. her eyes really are haunting

the end product is sooo pretty, the colors are gorgeous and I love how her make up and hair turned out
Just wonderful, darling. What struck me most about this doll when she came out was that the invisible quality of the hands was a wasted detail, they just didn’t stand out with all that standard busy contrast. Your muted tones and iridescent shadows bring the hands out as if they were glass! Her facial features also make more sense now, instead of the eye makeup fighting the mold. Way to go!
Seeing the Spectra doll's head with pins sticking out really made me want like a Voodoo doll type of character from Monster High. Maybe they have a headpiece that look like pins poking out of their head like the ones seen in this video. I'm not a big enough fan of Monster High to know all the characters, so I'm not sure if there's already a Voodoo doll character.
There’s actually a doll/ character that represents a voodoo doll, but it is a boy AND imo he looks nothing like the idea you had !! would be cute to custom a girlfriend for him lol considering his backstory

This one looks really cool. Oddly enough, I kind of vibed when here eyes were primarily white. It looked haunting. However, the end result was pretty amazing too!

Romans used chains on corpses to keep the spirits from wandering. Others believe it's a representation of the barbaric deeds of our ancestors, and still others think it to be a form of punishment for sins committed in life ( greed, lust, vanity, pride, etc). They all sound pretty grim to me, but Spectra is my favorite Monster high doll, so I'm very happy to see that you repaired and used this lovely little lady. You gave her life after death, if you will. ❤
I love this version of Spectra! I feel like having to stay in high school for all eternity is so hard on her, so she does her gossip website as a way to entertain herself.

As much as I love the monster high dolls and even all the movies and shows, I do feel like the older dolls hold a more mature air to them. Whenever I watch your revamp videos, I feel like you give them that child like feel to them. As if they really were in a high school.

I love her outfit and makeup! It's a perfect blend of vintage and modern. Her new face accentuates her facemold so well (for example, her cheekbones look more pronounced) I also love how you made her hair into braids so it wouldn't blend in with the rest of her outfit!

Spectra was my first and only monster high doll, I lost her body parts over the years and was pretty sad.. but I remember getting her for Christmas at my grandparents and being so excited! Fun times..

I love the Monster High revamp series, it is amazing, and although Spectra isn't quite the same, with warmer colors and less blue/indigo + more purples, it is still a very welcome revamp!! I love the style in which you paint, it is gorgeous, and I really admire your creativity!!

I always find weird the texture of acrylic yarn for hair, but GOD every single one of your designs are such a work of art I don't even care about the yarn. You can wrap me in yarn and and use as a weird ass décor, idk, but I'm just such a fan of your work...
