Thank you for this!!! I have the trifecta of hooded fold, minimal lid space AND downturned fold that goesnpast my outer corner. This blocks any attempt to do a wing liner. My only option is a batwing look that I don't like .
Oh my gosh thank you for showing that in detail. I am 71 and just old and will try that. But my granddaughter has hooded eyes so will share your video.
Looks beautiful! I am 62 and this is how I do my eyeliner everyday for instant lift. I use an outer corner lash curler (Revlon makes one, I buy from Amazon) and concentrate mascara on the outer lashes. Never tried false lashes but I’m definitely going to try after watching your technique- thank you! And your town looks beautiful, even on a gray day!
WOW‼️I can’t believe what a huge difference this technique makes❣️Thanks so much for sharing this with us! I definitely want to try it!!! Also, this reminded me that I have the Pixi corrector in my collection already! Woohoo! Lastly, I adore the intro in your Vlogmas videos. So sweet and the music is so festive! Thanks, Jen!!!
The Pixi Colour Corrector is my most re-purchased beauty product aside from Mascara, thanks to you! It works magic and most days I skip concealer because it does such a great job 💕
I saw a short you did about this. I use the Charlotte Tilbury peach color corrector to try this trick and I couldn’t believe this difference it made so i apply it all the time now!
Wow, it's like magical! I have very hooded eyes & dark undereyes from inner to outer. I've been trying to get the pixie corrector for a long time. I'd really like to try it. Thank you so much for being with us !
This is one of the first tutorials for this kind of eye shape by someone with this eye shape, and I think this will work! My crease goes down so far that not even the bat wing works for me (and I don't like the look either) Thanks for making this!
A thinner color corrector that I’ve tried for my actual under eye is from the Ulta brand (it comes in stick form)! Also, on the advice of Zabrena, I have taken to tapping setting spray onto the areas where I have issues with creasing; I literally spray my finger then tap over the area and it sets it better than powder without looking dry!
Yes, that really works. My problem is to find good, non irritating (sensitive skin/eyes) setting spray for that, though. So many have fragrances. What’s your fave?
Thanks Jen for this, I will definitely be trying this, I sort of do my eyeliner like it but not as precise and will try the small lashes. Sometimes I don't want to wear eyeshadow but still look put together more and not so tired.
OMG thank you for this! I have been struggling to do any kind of wing eyeliner because my eyes are very round and hooded. This step by step made it so much easier! The one thing I would add is curling the lashes, mine are very long but straight so if I curl them, it makes my eyes look brighter and more lifted or open.
Jen, What a quick and easy tip for lifting the eye 👁 👁 👏 I'm 56 and just started wearing false lashes and it takes practice and the eyes look fabulous ❤🧡
I love this technique! I do mine this way except I start at the end of my lash line and draw a line straight up toward my crease. Then I create the triangle shape like you did. Besides the lift it gives it doesn't accentuate any crows feet like a regular wing can sometimes do.
I’ve been doing this since you talked about it !!! This is brilliant!! It also lets you do a ‘wing’ in the least folded/crepey part of your outer eye!! Genius!! Just a little bronzer and that’s all you need, no complicated shadow looks…. It’s beautiful 💋♥️ TY X a million 💋♥️
That's genius Jen. Great job you definitely can see the difference 👍. I don't have this but can see how helpful it is. Can't wait for more videos. Enjoy your weekend. Although a rainy Saturday here. 🌧
Such a great detailed tutorial 🥰. What a difference it makes. I don’t have hooded eyes, but it always help to turn the edge up a bit; gives a nice lift. Your final look turned out great. 💕
Thank you Jen! 😁I have been admiring how you were doing this method for some time now❤ I have small deep set eyes and MUST use a color corrector…the Becca corrector HG my list for coverage, texture and longevity ✨
Love love love this video! This type of video actually, showing how to counter something. I have down turned eyes too and have always played with ways to counter it. Thanks Jen 💜
Your eyes are absolutely gorgeous. I completely understand that this makes you feel more confident, and it’s really difficult to love our downturned eyes when the beauty standard right now is “upturned foxy eyes”, but there is just something so beautiful to me about down turned eyes. I don’t see them very often.
I never minded them in the past and I don't really like to follow trends. But as I get older and my eyes get more downturned (I'm 46), I feel like they make me look sad and people are always asking me, "what's wrong?". So that's a huge part of why I like to lift them now. :)
I'm gonna give your tip a try, I deal with the same fold right at the corner of my eyes, but way more noticeable on my right eye, pretty annoying 😖 and then the hood gets in the way when I try to do a wannabe wing 😆 I hope it works... thnx for sharing! hugzzz 💜
Great tip Jen! I am Asian and have hooded downturn eyes including darkness at both corners of my eyes as I get older. I am going to try your method and hope it works for me. I am not sure about false lashes since I have never used them. It's worth a try though. Thank you so much for your video! Have a great weekend!
Those were awesome tips Jen! 😊👍 I don’t have hooded eyes but I do have under eye darkness. I was glad to hear you say that the Pixi color corrector was thick because I purchased that and tried using it under my eyes and it absolutely did not work for me. I thought maybe I had possibly received an old product but it sounds like that is just the normal consistency. It was drying and enhanced every line so I gave up on it but it seems to work great the way you are using it! I love the idea of that double sided Moira liner! May have to pick one up! As always, thank you for sharing your techniques and by the way you have a beautiful home! 💕
I might try the false eyelashes, you make it look so easy. I am 50+ and I have never dared to try it 😮. They really lift your eyes in the most beautiful way😊
Holy moley thank you so much!!!!! I tried the eyeliner technique, and damn! Looks so much better than anytime I’ve ever tried to do a wing! This is my wing now. Can’t thank you enough for this!!
Jen you are absolutely brilliant and have just blown me away! Seriously can’t believe that I’ve been trying to correct or camouflage this bad struggling for ever. When I could have done it in 3 easy steps and with products I already have! Although different in appearance we are the same age and have the exact same eyes only different colours. I find any and all eye tutorials and product reviews you post to be spot on for my needs and wants. Plus the way you film, so you can actually see what you’re doing, and each step spoken in your calm soothing voice pair perfectly together. Makes you feel confident, like yes I can do that or that’s outside of my comfort zone but I definitely want to give it a go or that sounds crazy but I’ll trust Jen’s process and every time you are brilliantly correct! 🍻and thank you to the very BEST ❤ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
Learn something new with each of your videos-glue liner! Thanks. There is another trick, after Sofia Loren, where she does a wing and instead of following the lash line with the falsies, she follows the wing. A bit more complicated than that, and a bit of a learning curve, but I have very round eyes, and it really elongates them. There is a REALLY old Lisa Eldridge video where she does the Sofia look on Huda before she was famous, great video. Also it seems wasteful to cut full lashes, does anyone make demis that mimic what you did?
I haven't found any yet but I'm on the lookout for them! All of the cut lashes I've found are all one length and they don't taper, so when I apply them to the outer corner they don't blend with my lashes and look more obvious. That's a great tip about following the wing rather than the lash line! I think I do that a little bit, as it's sometimes hard to get close to my lashes when mascara is on. :)
I also could NEVER put on lashes, I tried so many times. They never worked for me, UNTIL I found lilac street lashes. It's a game changer. Now I have found dupes on Amazon. But lilac street changed everything for me. They do not apply to the lid portion of the eye, which is why I think they work 100x better than any basic false lash. I would implore anyone to give them a chance :) They have RUclips videos on them if interested.
45? Girl I put you at 28. 32 the most!🎉❤
Thank you for this!!! I have the trifecta of hooded fold, minimal lid space AND downturned fold that goesnpast my outer corner. This blocks any attempt to do a wing liner. My only option is a batwing look that I don't like .
I don't like those batwing looks either and most hooded eye tutorials are recommending them now!
Fantastic tips for those of us with hooded eyes! Thanks, Jen! 💖
As someone with very hooded eyes, I appreciate this so so much. Thank you for this! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! ❤
The best tutorial I have seen to help lift hooded eyes! Thank You Jen 🥰
Oh my gosh thank you for showing that in detail. I am 71 and just old and will try that. But my granddaughter has hooded eyes so will share your video.
Thank you so much for this brilliant tip. My eyes 👀 droop down. I'm 50 now so I'm finding tips like this really helpful. Xxx

It opens your eyes wider as well. It looks really good.
This is A GAME CHANGER!! I tried this and WOW!!!👀 This is a tip trick that really works!! Thanks Jen so much!!!! 💞💞
WOW‼️I can’t believe what a huge difference this technique makes❣️Thanks so much for sharing this with us! I definitely want to try it!!! On top of the product or before?
That's amazing!! I'm going to try that!
Yes, that really works. My problem is to find good, non irritating (sensitive skin/eyes) setting spray for that, though.
So many have fragrances. What’s your fave?
Ty for sharing that Lydia!
Do you attach the lashes on the straight line you drew or your actual lash line?
Really loving your vlogmas this year!
Thanks Jen for this, I will definitely be trying this, I sort of do my eyeliner like it but not as precise and will try the small lashes. Sometimes I don't want to wear eyeshadow but still look put together more and not so tired.
Thank you AGAIN Jen!!! I have the shadow and I can never make it go away. You never disappoint 😊
The before and after looks amazing. Can wait to try on my down turned eyes. Thanks, Jen. Blessings!
Fantastic Tutorial Ms J! Mom says TYSM.

The best tutorial for hooded eyes! Thank you so much!
Feel like my eyes are really succumbing to gravity these days. This video is exactly what I needed! Thanks, Jen!❤❤❤
Such a great step-by-step explanation!
Thank you from a fellow hooded eye; I will be trying this technique tomorrow!
WoW, Jenn !!! Best Tutorials, simple and Easy that I've seen in A Loong time 😁👍 So Awesome, Thank You 👏👏👏
Jen, What a quick and easy tip for lifting the eye 👁 👁 👏 I'm 56 and just started wearing false lashes and it takes practice and the eyes look fabulous ❤🧡

This was so incredibly helpful! I’m using these tops TODAY! You’re the best!
Thanks- great tutorial, very helpful!!
Wow this was so helpful. I never really knew that this was my issue. I am definitely going to try this.
This is such a good tutorial. Miss these. I have hooded eyes too and this technique is so good. Can’t wait to try.

Thank you Jen. This video is so good. I have saved it and I'm going to share it, something I dont usually do. I's a Masterclass❤
Wow, what a difference…thank you for sharing your process! I think I could learn how to do this with some practice. Sending get well wishes ❤
That's genius Jen. Great job you definitely can see the difference 👍. I don't have this but can see how helpful it is. Can't wait for more videos. Enjoy your weekend. Although a rainy Saturday here. 🌧
I have a similar eye shape to you. Love this, I'll be trying it tomorrow!
Such a great detailed tutorial 🥰. What a difference it makes. I don’t have hooded eyes, but it always help to turn the edge up a bit; gives a nice lift.
Your final look turned out great. 💕
Still loving this intro a year later! 😊💚🩶❤ thanks for the tips, even having deep set eyes (which I hate lol) I may be able to try a few of them 😀
My favorite color corrector is the sigma one. It's so natural looking and I don't have to use concealer on top of it.
It’s my favorite, too. I like the 2nd color for the outer corner and lash line, and I like the lighter color better than the Becca…
Thank you Jen! 😁I have been admiring how you were doing this method for some time now❤ I have small deep set eyes and MUST use a color corrector…the Becca corrector HG my list for coverage, texture and longevity ✨
This is the BEST tutorial for downturned hooded eyes!!! It is easy and it WORKS! Thank you so much!
Very helpful! Thank you.
Amazing difference!! Thanks Jen!!
Hi Great Tips! See You Tomorrow!!
Wow Jen you are genius!! I am doing all of these! Thank you SO much! ❤️
your eyes are gorgeous btw!!
Wow, this is really a great tip Jen. Thank you so much.
This actually looks doable for me. 😊 Thank you
best tutorial for my hooded eyes
This was a great video!, I have very hooded eyes and have never wore false eyelashes either. I am going to try this, i never miss one of your video!
That is a great idea. Thank you for sharing this!🙏💕
Absolutely lovely and easy especially for someone like myself, who does not like using makeup.❤
Very helpful. Thank you for sharing 😊
You’re a gem! 😊💕
Great method! Thanks! XO ❤️
I’ve been using this tip! It works!! Thanks!
Can’t wait to try this! I am 8 years older and a little “hoodier”, but game to give it a go! Thanks!
Love love love this video! This type of video actually, showing how to counter something. I have down turned eyes too and have always played with ways to counter it. Thanks Jen 💜
Thanks for these great tips Jen. I have been using the Becca one but I’m going to try the Pixie! Appreciate you so much!❤
Awesome tips
What a great result. Thanks so much for this advice👍🏻

Thank you so much, Jen! I have been waiting for this tutorial forever! I am starting this today!💋
I'll have to try using the pixi color corrector for corner eye, thanks for the tips!
This was great!! Going to try this now!!
Ok I’ll finally try partial lashes. They look so natural ! Clear glue or black? Might try both to see which is easier !! Wish me luck.
Thx Jen ❤❤❤
I started with the black and now I use the clear for times when I don't want to wear black eyeliner. 🥰
I'm gonna give your tip a try, I deal with the same fold right at the corner of my eyes, but way more noticeable on my right eye, pretty annoying 😖 and then the hood gets in the way when I try to do a wannabe wing 😆 I hope it works... thnx for sharing! hugzzz 💜

Thank you so much Wendy! You too! 😊

I don’t have hooded eyes but I do have under eye darkness.

Yes it's definitely too thick to use under the eyes but I use it on both the outer and inner corners an it works great for that! :)
@@JenPhelps I kept is so I’ll have to give it a try on my inner corner. ☺️
Very useful!
I might try the false eyelashes, you make it look so easy. I am 50+ and I have never dared to try it 😮. They really lift your eyes in the most beautiful way😊
Wow, great tips, Thanks! I really enjoy watching your videos ♥️ Greetings form lsrael
Holy moley thank you so much!!!!! I tried the eyeliner technique, and damn! Looks so much better than anytime I’ve ever tried to do a wing!
This is my wing now.
Can’t thank you enough for this!!
Aw yay! I'm so glad it helped!

Wow, what great and easy tricks.
What a great tip Jen and it works very well. I love you Christmas Tree and holiday decor. It is absolutely beautiful for sure and a great job.❤💚🧡
Since I have droopy hooded eyes, I’m definitely going to try this
Oh boy do I need this!
Hi Jen. Another great video. I've always wanted to try lashes. You've made me believe I can do it. Enjoy your weekend!
Well now I need to try lashes
❤Great look, wow😮. Wonder if that will work on getting older, fighting gravity👍🤔🥰
These are great tips, the difference in uplift is awesome! If you are wearing eyeshadow, which would you put on first? eyeshadow or eyeliner? Thanks💚
I actually do my eyeliner first. It creates a bit of a guide for my eyeshadow so I know I can't go past the liner. 🥰
@@JenPhelps Okay, good...because I always put eyeliner on first, now I just need to do it your way. Thank you!
Love this! Great tips that I can hopefully do on myself tomorrow.
Fabulous video👌
Amazing video
Nice! I'm going to try it. BUT, try to go gluten free and you will see less of hooded eyes and less darkness as well.
So helpful Jen! Thank you
