Most live performers are stuck in 3d, but guthrie can make himself flat like a screen so the audience feel they're not really there but watching it at home on a screen. Incredible. Even the logo looks overlayed on top.

As with any music there has to be a foundation which is the chord progression and melody. Once you lose sight of that it is nothing but noise. The bass in this video does a great job of keeping the foundation going. The guitar does a great job at improvising and coming back to the melody. Great video!
