    Cool Video Matt! I actually just bought Hanz de Fuko quicksand for Christmas using your reward code! I hope you end up getting a lot of sponsors in the future so we can get cool deals.

      +1admac Thanks! Me too, that would be awesome :) Let me know how the Quicksand works out for you, and what your hair type is. That's the third product of theirs that I'll be reviewing soon!

    This hairstyle and this hair color suits you wayyyy more then when you started dying your hair all these weird colors

    Great video man! How would you compare Baxter of California's Clay Pomade to HDF's Claymation in terms of their ease of application, amount of shine etc. Thanks man! :)

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 лет назад +1

      +Ryan Ng Thanks man! They are def very similar in terms of texture, but I think Claymation is slightly softer and therefore a little easier to apply. I think hr Baxter clay has a little more hold and more of a totally matte finish, whereas Claymation can sometimes look semi-matte with a tiny bit of shine. Either way, I love them both!

    I have fine, straight hair. Naturally pretty oily. I usually go for a pushed up or to the side messy style. Would you recommend claymation or quicksand for me?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 года назад

      Honestly I’d avoid both - there are far better products for you out there. I’d suggest trying maybe something like Moroccanoil Texture Clay, Stickmore styling cream, Crafted clay or matte paste, or Earth Made clay pomade.

    Man, how things have changed. Nowadays, Claymation seems to be an afterthought compared to all the home brewed stuff we have out now.

    Hey Matt,gonna talk about your hair for a Sec,from my point of view you're always styling your hair to the left for some hairstyles but I think you should try styling it to the right cuz my hair is similar to yours,when I first started styling my hair it didn't quite work out but when I combed it to the other side,it works wonders.Just a tip.

      @TDMStyle  7 лет назад

      +Thel Vadam I generally style my hair to my right, because that's the way it naturally grows and it falls more nicely. I'll push it left sometimes for big volume hairstyles, but for my everyday look, it doesn't fall nicely that way, if that makes any sense.

    So I have 2.5-3 in. Really Thick hair and I've tried claymation, sponge wax, and scheme cream and so far claymation is the best and sponge wax coming In close. I plan on purchasing those 2 but also on getting a third one but it's between Gravity paste and Quicksand? I've heard negative things and great things from lots of people so I'm not sure which one will work best with my short and thick hair.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 лет назад

      +Mike Capalungan Well it really depends on what kind of style you're going for. What's your goal?

    • @mikecapalungan
      @mikecapalungan 7 лет назад

      TDM Style well the style I usually do is a quiff or I just push all my hair straight up and put some of it to the side

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 лет назад

      +Mike Capalungan Well Quicksand is really only good for second-day hair because of how drying it is. Personally I haven't had much success with the Gravity Paste so I'd recommend sticking to a clay product. I'd recommend Baxter of California clay pomade! Similar to claymation but I like it better.

      Try Fuertes clay instead. Stuff is amazing and feels super smooth. I have a similar hair texture to yours and it works amazing for me.

    have you applied any scheme cream by hanz de fuko as a pre-styler and then apply the claymation?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 лет назад

      +Dopeybo y Definitely! I love Scheme Cream as a pre-styler.

      TDM Style sweet, i've been using the claymation for a while, but now i'm gonna start using the scheme cream as a pre-styler... you should do a video on that combo

    Hey! Do u think I can use claymation or quicksand as a prestyler? What about another product they have that may be a better pre styler, like scheme cream?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 лет назад

      +Steven Cats For me clays generally are not good as prestylers, so I'd avoid claymation and quicksand for that. For prestyling, you'd definitely be better with something like a cream or wax. Personally I'm really loving Original Smooth by Blumaan right now!

    Why does claymation make my hair feel like straw, it feels so dry that I cannot style. I want something like this product but I able to style.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  6 лет назад

      I have that problem with Quicksand more than Claymation, but if you want something similar but with more moisturizing effects, I’d try Baxter or Lockhart’s.

    hey bro! great video there. nobody actually says anything about the difference between claymation and quicksand. in my country, only these two of hanz de fuko are available. i have medium-long hair kind of wavy which other hair products struggle to keep up with so i was wondering should i get both or should i get just get one of these? really confused on which one tho. would really appreciate any help, been wondering in youtube for hours!

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  7 лет назад +1

      +TheMuse I would say go for Claymation over Quicksand. Quicksand is very different, has a gritty texture and gives your hair a very dry matte look - designed for second-day hair as the diatomaceous earth in it really absorbs oil. For me it makes my hair too tangly feeling, so I prefer standard clays.
